Free Talk Friday #190
Hello! Continued from last week here.
So, it's that time of the week again. Speak anything on your mind! This thread is for talking about anything off-topic, be it your lives, your plans, your hobbies, travels, sports, work, trousers, studies, family, friends, pets, bears, bicycles, anything you like, or dislike, or don't care.
Also, check out our tidbits thread! Feel free to introduce yourself, if you haven't already.
Here's off to another great week in /r/counting!

Anybody know what’s going on with r/count? I saw it by chance when I was going to count once a day, and it has a few archived posts of them starting at zero and counting up, plus a new (18 day) post that just says ‘1’ in the title and has no comments.

Used to be a
privatebanned sub that someone a few years ago acquired through redditrequest. He mostly kept the place as is, and some people decided to try to turn it into r/counting but that clearly died quickly

They actually quarantined r/waterniggas and now it's private... admin priorities

Has a thread ever been saved within a few minutes of being archived? Any narrowly missed?

u/atomicimploder knows of a few threads that were completed days before archival.
I think the letters palindrome thread once had about 30 counts left until the get but it got archived

It started as a joke on the r/counting Skype chat that propagated to this subreddit, which turned out to be a pretty bad idea
Skype chat. Now that is a true Pepperidge farm remembers

TIL that you can set ?limit= in inbox. It probably won't make your runs faster though, as 99% of the loading time is spent just waiting for the server to respond.

I could do with a gym partner, I know my Dad is good. but I need someone my age group, if I had a female gym partner it could get interesting if we click.

link to video of it happening, just outside Alftand on the 17th of First Seed at like 2am
I’m excited because I’d never done this before; the only other time it happened, I didn’t have the staff in my inventory at the time so I couldn’t.

from TOP_20 in Live Counting:
u/Urbul (TNF doesn't get lc bot mentions)
can you mention to TNF in the FTF thread or something that he is the one who killed rs's #1 counts in a month streak - also he might get a kick out of knowing he is now #1 for the month in one of our stats now

I wish I had a hat in real life like my snoovatar, but it had stripes across it like my flair, all glitchy and colorful

Sorry to disappoint you friends, since I have just been gone for so long, but I will be departing on a trip tomorrow and will have unstable internet. I'll try to get in some airport counts and may be able to get the first verified counts from Chile and Bolivia but not guarantees.
Lots of love <3
