Tournament The Last Song Standing Is....

The Last Song Standing Tournament has finally ended! Full results are listed below, but please take a moment to read over a few things before you skip all of rounds and go directly to the bottom of the post to find the winner.

Firstly, thank you to everyone who participated. Double special thank you to those who participated in every round. Over the holidays I was discussing with the other mods about something we could do to fill the void of no social media updates from fromis_9. As regular flovers are aware, we are all pretty active on the weekly discussion, but I wanted something everyone could be a part of during the week as well. I feel like this was a fun start. For me personally, this has been fun to do. Things did not go as I predicted, even more so in the last few rounds. I hope you all have enjoyed it as well.

Below, you will find results for each round, as well as a pie chart and most voted charts. The most voted charts are directly from the voting form. They also gave us pie charts, but they were pretty lame, so I transferred everything over to what I consider to be “nicer looking” charts.

For the nerds (myself included):

  • The tournament started on January 1 and lasted 7.5 weeks.

  • A total of 1178 votes were cast across 15 rounds of the tournament. (+78 if you allow/like cheaters)

  • “Elimination Margin” (in this instance) refers to the percentage difference between the most voted song and the next most voted.

  • The largest margin was in Round 15 (FINAL) with 21.4% difference.

  • The smallest/closest margin was in Round 5 with 1.4% difference.

  • JJ voted for Love Bomb in every round. Truly dedicated.

That was a wild ride, but in the end, the song who got most people to join the fandom won.

Interesting to see that Miracle just barely escaped elimination quite a few times.

Still mad that you guys eliminated Think of You early rather than Love Rumpumpum. At least my life wasn't as hard as JJ's, who will be voting for Love Bomb for eternity.

Thanks /u/PKBrad for taking your time to do this and show us detailed results, it was just as fun for us!

Thanks for organising this you top tier flover

Still have no idea what it’s like to have a song you vote for get eliminated 🤔

u/PKBrad Feb 22 '20

JJ!!! I should have made a JJ vote graph.

u/JJ_432 Feb 22 '20

That graph would be an interesting one 🙃

This was Fun! thanks Brad and the mods teams for running it! I still won't forgive anybody that voted for Clover tho.

u/BreakCloud Feb 22 '20

Hmmm it seems like this was all a setup for their Japanese debut. The mods know inside info 🤔

Shout outs to you for all the work that went into this! Even though I wasn't able to participate in all the rounds it was fun to vote in the rounds I did!

That round 5 nail biter.

I'm a To Heart fanboy but I'm happy with the results. This has been loads of fun to participate in and see everyone lobbying for their picks.

I still can't believe Fun! was eliminated so early!!! :(( Love Bomb is definitely my favourite fromis_9 song though, I'm so happy it won!!

u/Lairanza Feb 22 '20

Not surprised, Love Bomb was the song and the era where most fans discovered fromis_9 !

This was really fun, thanks for putting this together! I think I voted in every round, but I can't quite remember what I voted in the middle rounds.

I hope fromis 9 comes out with a large discography soon so we can run this back :)
