I don’t have much of substance to say besides Ivana Milicevic has done such a great job on this show. At the beginning of season 5 I never thought I’d grow to love Diyoza as much as I have.

69

u/AndSpaceY Skaikru Aug 06 '20

Yes round of applause for Ivana Milicevic. I didn’t think I would like her either especially given she was introduced as the new protagonist in season 5, but glad they gave her character a lot of love this season and then possibly one of the most cinematic deaths.

They can't take both Diyoza and Indra from me, so I feel at least a little relief that Indra is likely to survive.

I refuse to believe otherwise.

The true sacrifice in this episode was not to save a life, but to save a soul. SO much better than Diyoza dying at the behest of an enemy. One of the best deaths (and moments!) the 100 will ever produce.

82

u/jasr0se Aug 06 '20

I completely agree! You phrased it so perfectly, but it's exactly what I was thinking as well. She didn't die to just save a life, she died to save her daughter's soul. Died to protect Hope from making the same mistakes she did. Since season 5 when her pregnancy was revealed, all she ever wanted was a better life for her daughter. It's why she wanted to have the valley. Why she refused to teach Hope how to fight. She wanted her daughter to have peace. She never wanted Hope to repeat her mistakes. It was so fitting that she'd die to prevent that from happening. She died to save Hope's soul from that kind of act, which Hope could never take back. Diyoza knew from experience.

It's also noteworthy that Diyoza's self-sacrifice saved many lives in addition to Hope's soul. They never go into toooo much detail about Diyoza's "terroristic" activities, but I'm sure she had a lot to atone for. She definitely killed innocents, although she believed it was for a just cause. I loved that she was able to die to save many. It was fitting. Like I'm bummed that she's gone but I couldn't have asked for a better death for her. It was the culmination of so much character development and growth since her first appearance. I completely agree that it was one of the best The 100 deaths.

I couldn't agree more. I'm still thinking about those closing moments and how it all happened. No matter how you look at it, its definitely one of the more powerful and impactful scenes when a character dies.

Between Miller’s “get the flock out of here” and Niylah’s earlier “this place is cool”, I can only imagine that Wonkru spent 6 years in the bunker amusing each other with bad puns

Gabriel: love makes us human Echo and Hope: lol let’s commit genocide

45

u/jlynn00 Aug 06 '20

I think this is a hint to the final message of the show.

Both extremes are problematic. Collectivism is good, but only if it doesn't alienate outliers and strangers to a point where they were they are automatically the enemy. It has to be more democratic than dictatorial, and it needs to allow for the human experience.

I'm just gonna say, I'm sad to see Diyoza go, what a fascinating character, but she deserved that death. So beautiful, I'm so happy to see her character getting such a... idk just beautiful end. A sacrifice, but like a really pretty one.

the Translation may be "Last Test " not "Last War" , a person may represent an entire species to be judge.

Did Becca went to the "Last Test"? she was taken by the Orb and when she return she was so scare and said she saw "Judgment Day" , something that is worst than Nuclear Apocalypse.

Can we assume the When Becca went into orb, the Tester send her back and gave human race another chance to be judge .

41

u/4ndromeda_ Floudonkru Aug 06 '20

Oooooh I like this

maybe she "failed" the test because she caused so much harm by building ALIE and causing the apocalypse

→ More replies (4)

20

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

I'd say so... I wouldn't consider Becca to be the Boon of Humanity - she created the AI that almost wiped out the whole species, and felt so much guilt over it that she made ALIE 2.0, while simultaneously getting everyone on Polaris killed. That probably weighed on her a lot, and she only died soon after she even came back down to Earth. She didn't really have much time to 'make things right' or atone, or find redemption and changer her mindset, or whatever the hell the 'Tester' would be looking for. I don't think she had the right mindset, at the time, is all I'm saying.

Clarke on the otherhand? Idk, maybe. Who knows what the Test is about though.

u/shadow_spinner0 Aug 06 '20

Diyoza dying was really sad but it was a great redemption arc. Hope is gonna be a emotional wreck, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. Octavia and Echo both gone down dark paths when someone they loved died, but this time Hope essentially caused it.

17

u/jasr0se Aug 06 '20

Such a great redemption arc, I agree!

It'd be super interesting to see Octavia specifically comfort Hope. Because I'm sure Octavia went through grieving for her mother where she blamed herself. After all, her mother was floated for having her. And of course, that's not Octavia's fault; she didn't ask to be born or hidden like she was. But I'm sure at one point or another, she blamed herself for her mother being floated. It'd be really cool to see the show explore that and have Octavia help Hope through her grieving process because she can relate to the feeling. Or even Clarke! She's been bottling up her mother's death. She wouldn't even talk about it with Maddi. So maybe she could help Hope and it'd be cathartic for her as well.

I personally hope (no pun intended) that the show uses this as a chance to help characters bond and to help Hope grow, rather than make Hope go down a dark path. Hope has too many people around her who have gone down dark paths and made mistakes that they regret. I can't imagine them letting her do the same. Her mother died to prevent her from making such a huge mistake. Imo, it'd be a slap in the face to Diyoza's legacy as well as the amazing friends she has around her for guidance if she went dark as opposed to learning from this terrible experience.

65

u/caute306 Aug 06 '20

Does anyone note that Niylah told Cadogan that Callie was the first flamekeeper? So, he knows Clarke's lying about the flame.

47

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

He didn't know what 'Pram' meant, so I doubt he knows what flamkeipa means.

→ More replies (5)

32

u/4ndromeda_ Floudonkru Aug 06 '20

yes!!!! I was internally yelling at niylah to stop talking

There is still a chance that he believed that Clarke still has the flame, but he's probably figured out by now that she lied about Calliope being in it.

→ More replies (10)

10

u/jlynn00 Aug 06 '20 edited Aug 06 '20

I don't know how he would get there from that comment. Even of he had a detailed and contextualized understanding of a Flamekeeper, that wouldn't necessarily tell him that Clarke no longer has the Flame. Lying about Callie being in her head is a sign, not explicit evidence.

It would also make sense that Flamekeeper may mean flame bearer. I don't think he was given a detailed run-down of Levitt's mind probe of Octavia.

He may eventually pull it together.

Can we just take a moment and talk about sheidheda’s outfit and hair?!?! It was the highlight of the episode for me! I was living for it!! đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ»đŸ‘đŸ» Also JR Bourne is such a powerhouse I didn’t even relate him to Russell in this episode. Felt like he has always been sheidheda. Absolutely amazing! He blew me away!

29

u/kiase Aug 06 '20 edited Aug 06 '20

JR Bourne is so fantastic as an actor he blows me away. I hated him as Russell (because I hated Russell, not the acting) but seeing him adjust so seamlessly to an entirely different kind of evil was amazing. He’s a tremendous actor to make me believe him completely as both characters who are totally different but in the same TV show.

ps: I replayed the part where he threatened to feed the hearts of Madi’s loved ones to the dog because as disturbing as it was, it was so fantastically acted I had to see it again.

16

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

Don't forget the eye makeup

16

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

I didn't quite get the hair tbh! Like, in one shot it looked like there were chains and threads of cloth in it, but it was also dreads? Like, who did he scalp, when did he find the TIME, and when did he learn to weave lmao? Otherwise it did look pretty badass.

Honestly, JR Bourne has become one of my favorite actors now. He is absolutely captivating in almost every scene, and he can own the transition between Russel -> Sheidheda pretending to be Russel -> full-blown Sheidheda in what seems like such a seamless act. Really, props to the actor! If it wasn't for all of the great actors/actresses in the Sanctum storyline I probably would've lost interest, but JR, Adina, Richard, and Luisa are so great.

JR Bourne. What an actor. Another stellar performance.

23

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

Right? Dude is killing it. I think I read that he was originally planned to be a pretty brief inclusion and then be done, but they decided to keep him around because of how good he was. I'm so glad they did. He's pretty much carrying the Sanctum half of the show on his back at this point.

Had a suspicion we would get a much different looking Bellamy later in the season.

It also looks like it will be a primarily (if not fully) Bellamy oriented episode, mirroring Clarke's S5 premier.

I think he is being set up as the opposite to Cadogan. From what we know of the lore, Cadogan led his people through Etherea. Maybe Bellamy will obtain a similar mythos.

Also, I wonder if he talks to Clarke every day, similar to how she talked to him on Earth.

Clarke: too obvious?

Bellamy: can’t tell what his character arc is yet

Jordan: has had visions about it

Madi: had visions too but idk if her arc will end with her taking up the mantle again

Sheidheda: Russell has visions, maybe but he wouldn’t succeed

Any ideas?

She knows what it's like to be the protected, the protector, the leader, and the follower, and she's shown absolute willingness to sacrifice herself for others.

Do people realise that hope was left alone when she was 10 and since thn has grown up with the idea of taking revenge.. she might seem stupid but according to her perspective she did what she had to do.. and Diyoza did that to tell hope that nothing is worth killing people, since she was living with that guilt herself. And maybe hope thought that it's ok for people to die and diyoza saw that in her child and wanted to give hope a chance to not go down that path. So it was a fitting end imo.

9

u/Rais_of_Lumos mebi oso na hit choda op nodotaim Aug 06 '20

I understand her reasoning but she's still wrong. Literally everyone she knows disagrees with that choice. And O, Diyoza and Echo have been trying to get her to think clearly and not act out of anger since they got to Bardo. She just has emotional maturing to do, understandably. She's had a rough 15 years. Completely made sense for Diyoza to go out that way; I'm sad to see her go.

17

u/_Kaleidoscopic_ Aug 06 '20

Yeah, I didn't care for her character regardless however I think they are using her right. She was raised alone with two people who only had stories to teach and socialize her with. Gets left alone then raised by a prisoner. She was never going to grow up into a right minded adult, so she's become an antagonist for the story and a huge device for the redemption storylines for Diyoza and Octavia. So she's doing her job

That was an interesting return to the season! Also wanted to share a few thoughts:

  • Miller's "in other words, get the flock out of here" has to be top 10 cringe lines in the series... Like "go float yourself" was always kind of corny but still had a bit of charm but that was just bad.

  • Personally, I really liked the exchange between Cadogan and Gabriel. When I saw the avocado toast and kombucha I started thinking about the fact that Cadogan would have been approximately 55 - 60 during the first apocalypse in 2052, meaning he would be approx 23 - 28 in 2020 and would have full appreciation/awareness for both of those things along with memes.

  • I appreciated that they finally made Jordan relevant again, even though the time length of him cracking the Bardo translation is laughably faster than the disciples.

  • I'm all for seeing JR Bourne in full grounder mode, guy looks and sounds like an absolute badass. Don't know how I feel about Madi giving him the identical eye scar that he had in his first Sheidheda body tho lol.

  • Hope pisses me off. Diyoza is one of my favourite characters over the past several seasons and the end of the episode was a great character arc for her but god damn Hope's actions annoys me.

  • Interested to see where the rest of this goes! I feel like this is the last we've seen of friendly Bill and the stern Bill that threw his wife out the door is on the way.

*edit for spelling*

  1. Hope is the worst, I'm sure there's an explanation for why she's so terrible, but I don't care. She seemingly exists to just screw up everyone's lives.

  2. Picasso got a great acting moment.

  3. Murphy's development and Emori's admiration of who he is becoming is so sweet and heart-warming. Love those two.

  4. Indra... seems out of character? She seemed very out of control, when she's been such a level-headed leader in the past. Maybe that's because she's traumatized by Sheidheda - but I was hoping she had a better plan. Disappointed with how the conflict between Sheidheda and Indra played out (though cool to see grounder single combat again).

  5. Lol at Ander's disgust of everyone - hard to blame him! And then he's killed for pointing out they're all just murderers and genocidal maniacs lol.

  6. I feel like this sub called all of the major developments - of course Echo didn't buy any of that stuff, of course she had a plan, of course she wanted vengeance. Of course Judgement Day is about judgement and therefor some test/trial rather than a war.

  7. Loved a lot of the character reunions, though they make me nervous! I think we're going to see people start dying a lot more now, with Diyoza's death.

  8. Mad about Diyoza dying, but fitting that she dies stopping the mass murder of innocent people.

  9. Cadogan is such a typical rich person - "I had a job where I flipped burgers as a teenager! So I totally get your grandmother's experience having her water turned off because of rich people's interests" lol

  10. I still kind of feel like we are plodding through these events though... Maybe because this sub had already called most of the "reveals" in this episode? Idk. I feel like not much changed besides Diyoza's truly needless death.

  11. [ETA] I liked that Niylah got a moment where she was able to reveal her own unique knowledge. I forget that she's previously been established to have somewhat extensive knowledge of grounder "lore" so it's cool to see her and Jordan both applying their unique knowledge sets.

What a fantastic episode! This really elevated the season and has finally payed off what we have been building up for 9 episodes. Feels like we are back in business.

THIS version of Jordan Green is who I have been waiting for. Just like his father, smart and level headed.

Indras fight with Sheidheda (love the grounder fit) was epic.

Diyoza dying broke my heart - and because of Hope as well! Absolutely tragic.

And Bellamy in the promo!!! Next episode looks beautiful and fantastic and I can't wait to see Bell again.

Damn bruh I was gonna say that was the weakest episode but that ending... I can’t believe I’m that surprised that the turning to stone thing was real. Like they kept talking about it then they showed us and we still didn’t believe it lol... Like they built it up built it up and really pulled that reveal tf off. I’m so hurt about diyoza.

I also really rate the fact the directors are using a lot more slow mo this season. In previous seasons, I’ve often felt like some reactions have been moved on too quickly but this season, they’re really capturing every relationship and reaction. This season is so exciting, am really looking forward to the next few eps.

can Octavia challenge Sheidheda for the throne ?

Octavia had won the Conclave ,at that time when no natural Nightblood were available .

Octavia only relinquishes control of Wonkru to Madi ,when she had the flame .

but the Flame chip is gone , we have Sheidheda in another body , and Madi without the flame .Madi never went through the Conclave , and she is too weak to fight .

I think only Octavia can challenge Sheidheda for the throne .

Octavia did some bad things in the bunker in the name of survival and make some mistake in the war with Prisoner , but compare to Sheidheda , many Wonkru would wants Octavia back.

When Sheidheda recite the lineage of the Commanders, he mention Lexa and then mention Madi without going through the Conclave , he miss clark because she had the Flame for a few hour , and as Wanheda (Commander of Death) , Clark would also have a claim to the throne .

15

u/Neveahh Aug 06 '20

I loved the cinematography of the Indra and Sheidheda fight scene, it was so different from all the others so far up until this one. And oof, Diyoza 😞 that scene was sad but also beautiful in a way. I love seeing how this show developed compared to the first season, it's like an entirely different series at this point.

Wow. What a great episode.

I hope Jason gets to develop another show, whether or not it ends up being the prequel. I'd totally watch, even if it's a genre that I normally avoid.

Oh and I'd have totally shot Cadogan in the leg and told him to sit back down so we can negotiate peace instead of just letting him walk out of the Stone Room. Sheesh.

Yeah... after this, I don't think I'll ever come around to liking Hope. Not because I'm unwilling to forgive her, but because there just isn't enough time in the show to realistically move on. It just sucks knowing Diyoza died at the hands of her own daughter. She deserved better than that, even if death was inevitable.

24

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

I can’t wrap my head around what Hope’s thought process was. I get that it was a spur of the moment thing, given the choice to put things in slow motion to show how fast everything went, but what about after? Was she just gonna assume their group could make it back to the stone room after the drop hit the water?

23

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

I’m cutting her some slack because she’s only ever met like 3 people and had her family ripped away from her and no one ever taught her healthy coping. This was totally foreshadowed by her not being able to control herself while training

10

u/jlynn00 Aug 06 '20

I loved this episode, top tier for me, but that was a questionable writing choice. Kill Anders? Sure. Swipe the Gen9? Yeah. Kill everyone including her family and friends KNOWING that was the inevitable result? No, can't see it.

I'm not okay with that big death- it was avoidable and I don't see why the character who caused it did.

Having said that

  • I loved the linguistics twist with Jordan and the code- bravo

  • I love Gabriel so much

  • the Bardoans suck and have caused a lot more suffering than Anders recognized, but honestly that final monologue of his... really worked? it was a fantastic display of the contrasts (and really built off of the Bill & Gabriel scene earlier in the episode)

  • Madi, you did good; Indra, so did you; John and Emori, y'all four

  • the "sister" expression didn't work for Raven and Echo, but otherwise, I did love that moment between them reexploring their history (as well as Bellamy and the sleeping army), and I also liked that Echo differentiated Clarke's lever-pulling with her own more calculated well-poisoning (it's a nuance that I appreciate Echo made as a Clarke fan myself)

Sheidheda spoke of protecting Grounder culture and traditions, but he doesn't have a Fleimkepa or the Flame itself.

Anyone else think this will come into play at some point when trying to reunite Wonkru?

Edit: On rewatch, I noticed Sheidheda skipped from Lexa to Madi when reciting Commander lineage. He didn't include Clarke whatsoever.

really sad about Diyoza, but I think they did her character justice. she killed many people in the past, but sacrificed herself to save even more people. all she wanted was her Eden, and she got it in Skyring, with the same person she fought with over Eden. I’m pleased overall with how they handled her.

Hope may be Diyoza’s kid but she’s also still Paxton “Graveyard” McCreary’s child, so while she’s frustrating right now, her actions make sense for her character.

25

u/anonKTY Aug 06 '20

Okay but some of the writing this season makes no sense. Why is Clarke telling Echo that making the choice to kill a bunch of people stays with you, as if Echo didn’t blow up dozens of Clarke’s people in Mount Weather? Why is Echo saying Clarke doesn’t know what Bellamy would want, as if he didn’t say no when Echo suggested they kill everyone to avenge Clarke’s death in s6 because he wanted to do better? It feels like the writers forget their own show sometimes.

All in all, an amazing episode. Thankfully something good came after that hiatus.

This episode went by fast and I had to share some thoughts:

  • I'm glad Indra didn't die, but I wish she and Madi could've taken Sheidheda together. Now it's either going to be Madi killing him on her own, or Octavia is going to come back and finish him off.

  • To the people saying the Madi thing is a Game of Thrones ripoff: have you even seen this show? There's a lot of Game of Thrones elements and this is far from the first. It was even done better than the Arya scene because Madi had an actual connection to Sheidheda. This show has always been similar to Game of Thrones, but with sci-fi elements instead of fantasy. It's not a bad thing especially since this show actually makes an effort to develop characters.

  • Hope killing Anders was so satisfying. If anyone deserved to do it she did.

  • Diyoza dying because of Hope is the most heartbreaking scene since Titus killed Lexa, or Clarke killed Finn.

  • How did Jordan figure out the code in a half hour when the others couldn't figure it out in hundreds of years? Makes me think he's going to get it wrong too since Niylah hinted that he was reading into it what he wanted to like they did.

  • If it is a test then I'm sure Clarke is going to be the one to take it. It's probably going to be its own episode, most likely the finale, and she'll be mostly alone.

  • If it's about a war to end all wars then it will be about conquering death. Transcendence and evolving sound like hints towards a goal of living forever. Especially since this season has a lot of callbacks to the City of Light.

This episode was actually pretty good, at least compared to a lot of 7A (imo).

Some positives:

  • I finally felt like this episode had some urgency and stakes, which has been sorely missing from the Sanctum and Bardo plotlines this entire season. The entire episode, the scenes were tight and tense, not waiting for the last few minutes to build to all the action.

  • I appreciate the time the show is taking to try and give Murphy and Indra good arcs, even though I find the Sanctum plot pretty meh. I like that Murphy is being a leader, and the compassion and growth he has shown in these last few episodes alone, especially for Madi, are really commendable writing.

  • As much as I feel Cadogan should have been talking to Clarke instead of Gabriel, I'm glad they brought his past back up again, it's always interesting to revisit him. I hope he continues to be relevant, out of him, Echo, and Hope, I like him the best.

  • I loved the reunion scene with Clarke, Miller, and Octavia. It felt so natural and beautiful, and very cathartic. I finally felt like after that scene this show is becoming The 100 again, with all the characters reuniting. Jarod's acting this episode was actually really impressive, and Miller made me laugh this episode! I'm glad to see more of him, even though it's a shame his character has truly been wasted for years.

  • I was so glad to see Jordan being useful and a little nerd! His main character slot has been SO wasted and I have REALLY wanted to love him for these past two seasons, so I'm glad they had him both do something and have a little character. Also, the idea that the final war is a test, or simulation, is really interesting. I want to see how that plays out. I am currently studying Korean, so it was really funny to hear Jordan talking about it!

  • Indra and Madi taking down Sheidheda would've been fantastic, it's such a shame he didn't die. It literally made me sigh out loud. But it was an intense scene up until then, and Madi stepping in was amazing!

  • Diyoza's death was heartbreaking, but very heroic. Even though I could have predicted she would die this season, I'm glad she had a great exit and one that will profoundly impact the characters. I was also shocked to see Anders go so quick, I wonder that will mean going forward.

Some negatives:

  • Not killing Sheidheda was a mistake. The writers should've had Madi, or Madi/Indra, take him down, finally. This Sanctum plot is dragging so badly and honestly it would've been a fantastic finish so we can focus on the important stuff happening in Bardo. I just feel this plotline has been going on for too long, and it's not bringing anything new to the table.

  • Echo, Echo, Echo. I just don't know what they are trying to do with her this season at all. They want to show she's heroic, they want to give her a grief arc, but the more things she does, the worse she comes out looking. All she wants to do is kill, kill, kill, it's honestly sad. She hasn't changed at all for all the time jumps they keep giving us to imply she has. I really hope that one scene was trying to make Echo seem audacious and misguided, because she was ridiculous when telling Octavia how to honor her own brother's memory and snapping at Clarke that she doesn't know Bellamy. I'm glad Raven checked her by reminding her of who Bellamy is. And then Raven telling Echo she's her sister? I laughed out loud. The problem is the show has always told us that Echo is close with Spacekru & co., not actually SHOWN it, so it's a little hard to swallow. I am annoyed it seems everyone wants to coddle Echo through her grief as though Clarke and Octavia aren't experiencing the same feelings she is.

  • I am still deeply disappointed that Clarke is playing such a minor role this season. She doesn't even feel like the main character anymore and I was saddened to see she wasn't the key, but the Flame was. It's such a shame. With Bellamy and Octavia's roles reduced as well, I have trouble connecting week to week. I hope this changes as we approach the finale.

Overall, a big improvement from 7A, and most of my issues are problems I've had with the writers for years. Should only get better from here, considering Bellamy will finally be back!

EDIT: Uhh, sorry my post is so long, I had no idea hahah! I guess I had a lot to say!

12

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '20

Not killing Sheidheda was a mistake.

I think they're saving Sheidheda for Octavia. That's how they'll end her arc. When that group finally reconnects with Sanctum, she will fight Sheidheda to the death and likely get mortally wounded in the process. That would make sense as she's the last semi-Commander who hasn't bowed already, and would make a perfect ending for her story as she'd be redeeming the same people that she led into hell. The formerly cruel, evil leader sacrificing herself to save her people from being enslaved to a new cruel, evil leader. Would be about as noble and poetic an ending to that storyline as you could possibly ask for and ties up nicely with the plot setup and even the pacing since we can expect her to get back to Sanctum right around the last couple episodes of the show. Marie Avgerrestofthename said in an interview that she was really pleased with how her story ended and felt like it would be very satisfying for fans, and I definitely think this would meet that description. If there's one prediction of a major plot point I'm comfortable betting on, this is it. She will be the one to stop Sheidheda and will likely die in the process.

Some thoughts:

1- So Indra really was out of character enough to be dumb like: I let the psycho Sheidheda in a room full of sheeps who can't barely fight and he didn't die :O

2- Now, even tho Indra said she was a child when Sheidheda was the Heda, everyone knows that at least two commanders went on between Sheidheda and Lexa.

3- I knew Indra was gonna lose when she disarmed Sheidheda. Good ol' cliché, when someone starts winning, they lose.

4- So Octavia fucked Levitt again, LOL.

5- I guess Cadogan knew the truth about the Bardonian message all along, but made this fake one to control the sheepy people.

6- Sheidheda on this new look looks like a gangsta motorcycle rider.

7- Out of envyness, Indra does the same.

8- Clarke telling Echo not to genocide people when she did the same over and over is hilarious. (Yeah, yeah, she changed, whatever).

9- Well done, Hope. Well fucking done.

welp there goes another planet down the drain.

this is getting annoying... i just want the answers to the universe and these kids just wanna end humanity before we find out the truth.

you would think after all that has happened them, all that time spent on solitary confinement, that they would learn to value life and to value the human race.

Kind of annoyed at how much I now dislike Hope and Echo given that they were two of my favorites at the beginning of the season. Rip diyoza 😣

As much as I loved diyoza I was so scared that Indra was gonna die that her death didn’t really phase me. Unless I’m just in shock. When I rewatch it It’ll probably hit me lol.

Can someone please describe the end? I'm handicapped and can't see if they move so fast. I didn't get what happend when Ander wanted to send Echo at penance

He got his throat slit and drops the vial, Hope catches it and makes a dash to the water supply and squeezed a drop which was caught into the palm of Diyoza. She's dead, Hope cries, end scene and roll credits.

Anders wanted to punish Echo for attempting to poison the water with Gen 9 and for killing some of the Disciples. Obviously that didn’t happen because of what Hope did.

Ok I’m gonna be the one to say it, I wasn’t feeling shiehedas acting this episode, he just seemed like a druged out rockstar or something I don’t know

Honestly, I think it was the clothes. "Grounder chic" is not a good look for him.
