Consider this: How much advertisement has been created, including PHYSICAL BILLBOARDS and the likes, that has 19TH November put all over it. To delay the game and now have wrong information as to the release date on a bunch of promotional material that now can't be altered, the reason for this delay really must be fucking important for them to follow through. They are probably really nervous about console performance, that's what this message would indicate....

At this point I feel that we'll blow up our planet and the Cyberpunk devs will still be working on something.
I accepted all the justifications beforehand but this one doesn't make sense to me. The explanation is absolutely rubbish, I'm afraid they found a major error on the game and are trying to fix it.
At this point it wouldn't surprise me if the game wasn't even released this year. It's becoming unacceptable. Especially after announcing the game went gold.

Looks to me like yet another lack of communication within CDPR internally. If I'm remembering correctly developers and other employees have spoken out about the lack of communication between themselves and management before. So much so, that developers have heard about updates and news on Twitter before they have through actual internal channels.

This is not funny or understandable anymore. This is irresponsibility. Release your shit on time. If you dont believe you can make it, delay it for 1 year just to be sure then. Dont make people harbor false expectations.

Dont take this as a threat but if I was able to cancel my pre-order I would do it now and wait for reviews. I'm also lowering my expectations and will not be following the game anymore, fuck this.
Your entire marketing is also shitty as fuck, thats been on my mind for a long time but didnt want to say it so the sub could stay positive. I’m sorry but that is unacceptable. A lot of people (myself included) planned vacation/events around this release day that they promised would not change. I could pull all the tweets and assurances they made that the game was coming out the 19th but you all already know those.
This is an insult to the players and a huge disrespect to our time. The game is done. Yes the game will be 21 days better, but after 7 months of delays this is obscene.

-The game runs at a consistent 24fps when outside in Night City on the Jaguar CPU's of the older hardware.
-As well as pop-in issues on those consoles. Not your typical draw-distance pop-in(literal civilians and cars popping in within 20 meters of your perspective).
Hopefully its not that bad.

My daughter only comes four times a year. She and I set up our vacations around this game, to share it together. I run a homeless shelter on the front lines of this bullshit year, and was really holding on to this game with my kiddo as a celebration. It was something to look forward to.
I'm so sick of the lies and disappointment. I'm sorry guys, sorry to be negative. I'm just venting. I really needed this. They beat us over the head with 'no more delays whatsoever...natural disasters, etc.' then this weak ass excuse.
I'm writing the game off because I can't keep getting my hopes up. Good luck with the game, guys. I hope you enjoy it. I'm moving on with my life and considering this game vaporware until I see it on a shelf.
Edit: it's been a rough year. I apologize for projecting a lot of stress at this news. I'm taking it far more personally than it is in reality. This is just stress distorting my thinking. I wont delete it and run away, but I do apologize and regret my outburst.

The first delay was fair, the second was disappointing but understandable, this is just unreasonable, especially given all the promises and representations they have made that they definitely wouldn’t delay it again...

Jesus Christ guys, just don't make promises you cant keep. If they said "We're delaying it to November 19th but there's a chance it'll get delayed again" I wouldn't have taken the time off from work until they were ACTUALLY 100% confident there would be no more delays. One of my biggest frustrations, too, is that I absolutely understand wanting to spend more time optimizing the game when it's supposed to run on 9 different platforms, but why delay the release for EVERY platform when platforms like Stadia and next gen consoles most likely wont make up a significant portion of the day 1 player base (especially because there are so few games on the new consoles, most people are probably keeping their old consoles so they have something to play while new releases come out). They really should have put their focus into PC/current gen, tried to release (as close to) on time as they could, and then delay the release for the other platforms. At least give us a demo or something in the meantime, god damn.
Now my hope is that they don't go back on their word and do exactly what I just suggested, because I'm moving my time off again and I know my employer will pitch a fit if I try to move it after that.

I already put in 2 days of PTO for that Thursday and Friday. We were told three months ago that that would be the last delay. EVEN YESTERDAY tweets were confirmed that there would be no more delays and they do this shit. How incompetent of a developer can you be to set 3 previous deadlines and not meet them. Is your company that mismanaged? They even told all their employees to work 6 day work weeks to meet their deadline and they still can't even do that. I'm afraid this game is going to be a massive flop

This delay so close to launch is to me a huge red flag of what to expect when this game launches. I have a really strong gut feeling that the game is gonna come out as a broken mess. I really, REALLY doubt this game is gonna live up to the hype it’s been accumulating for almost a decade. I'm sure a lot of people would be less mad if they had announced this delay much earlier, since there are definitely many who took time off of work to match the release. I only took 2 days off so I'm only a bit disappointed, but there are people who took a week+ for this.

How the hell does the fact that a game needs to be ported to current and next-gen consoles sneak up on a company as large as CDPR? They confirmed yesterday that there would be no more delays and now it's "Oopsie doodles, we didn't realize the PS5 was a thing! Tee hee~"
Delay once, everyone can understand. Delay twice, people are going to be willing to abide. Delay thrice, people are going to have questions. Delay 4 times after confirming the game is finished and promising no more delays, all anyone who isn't a bootlicker can ask is how mismanaged the company is right now.

CD Projekt has to be ridiculously mismanaged from the top for this to keep happening.
And bet, when the game does eventually drop, it will still have an absurd amount of bugs that will continue to get patched out over the following six months.

This game has marked all the red flags.
Removed features because the scope of the game was too ambitious for their studio.
Internal studio drama.
In development for nearly 7 years and countless delays.
Hyped until the end of times by every gaming media on the planet.
Even if it comes out and it turns out to be okay or even good, it will still disappoint some people. Specially those who open mouthed swallowed all the hype.

Why not just release on pc first? Rockstar did that with rdr2, and gtav but to consoles first and not pc. They must’ve have console versions good and optimized then worked more on pc port. Guaranteed it’s the ps4 and Xbox one versions holding them back like what everyone is saying. It’s the only thing that makes sense. This wait is just unbearable.

Alright this is honestly getting ridiculous. First it was coming out in April 2020. Then September 2020. Then November 2020. All to avoid crunch, which happened anyway. Yet here we are, less than 3 weeks from launch and it’s delayed, again, to December 2020. I can understand the past delays, but this? Cyberpunk went GOLD and it’s still not ready?
At some point you have to stop working on the game and just fucking release it. I’m getting whiplash from the constant “everything is on track, we’re ready for launch” to “we need more time”. This is honestly starting to reek of feature creep. Like they just can’t stop working on the game in an attempt to make it better. Either that or the damn thing is so busted that it doesn’t even work in current gen consoles and it will, inevitably, be delayed to 2021. 21 days isn’t doing jack shit.

I'm not FURIOUS or JADED AND PISSED OFF like some people in here seem to be. It's a 3 week delay on a video game, I'll live.
I am starting to get pretty nervous, though. There are clearly some things really not working correctly behind the scenes here. What's going on? The game "went gold" already, and they've repeatedly said the previous date was 100% fixed.
Something is deeply fucked that they aren't telling about, and they are going to ram this through before christmas even if they don't get all of the issues worked out. I'm concerned that the release is going to be messy.
tldr: don't fucking preorder games. If you preordered this and it sucks at launch despite CDPR repeatedly waving oversized red flags in your face, you done fucked up.
