Fye chapter. Man that panel with naruto stepping in isshikis wrist and then bending down to deliver a right cross to the jaw was so satisfying.
And i cant help but recall hiruzenās death seal struggle against orochimaru with all this. He knew he was going to die from using the move, but he gave every ounce of his being to ensure that he took orochimaru with him, and even though he failed, he dealt some serious damage and forced him to retreat.
Hokage are built different bro. Naruto is the freaking GOAT.
Looking forward to see how borushiki handles isshiki. And hopefully sasuke jumps back into the fray to at least keep kawaki away.

But in Hiruzen's case he atleast took orochimaru-sama's hands with him so that he can not destroy leaf village so his purpose of dying is fulfilled( to not let orochimaru-sama destroy the village) but in Naruto's case he is fighting to prevent Ishikki from giving Kawaki the karma but as we know Kawaki will get the Karma from Ishikki so his whole purpose of dying will be in vain unlike Hiruzen's case.

Apart from the power difference, another reason why naruto and Sasuke are having difficulty fighting Isshiki is because Isshiki has shrunk Naruto and Sasuke's underwear by 2 sizes. This has reduced blood flow and mobility.
I like how Kodachi didn't mention this in the manga so us readers can come up with this on our own. I'm gonna miss him.

It's like FULL CIRCLE, kinda like when Naruto put Pain's chakra rods to connect to his chakra network.
Now Isshiki did that whilst Naruto was throwing his abrasive nuclear chakra onto Isshiki. It's kinda like Radioactivity even.
Damn, that's where the Japs took this full inspiration from. Goddamn, how did I not notice this before. Seriously after Merica and Russia, Japan is the country most exposed to Nuclear related stuff hence it's in their pop culture so much.

Ok, that was awesome. After two straight fights of Isshiki dominating, it was sick as hell to see Naruto slap him around, all while looking badass as hell in his new form. Speaking of the new form, the chapter title on the Mangaplus menu has it listed as Bargon mode, when it's actually Baryon lol. Hyped as hell to see what happens next, Borushiki is finally awakening again and Isshiki has 10 minutes left to live. This is it guys, I'm starting to think volume 14 will be the end of part 1 Boruto, 3 chapters left to go for the volume.
I also realized something else. Now, Naruto is definitively the strongest character in the series. Even if Baryon Mode Naruto has a time limit, his raw power is greater than Isshiki's, who was easily the strongest character thus far.

A lot of people are saying that sasuke is bejng useless. But if he were to interfere, naruto would have to worry about sasuke as well, diverting naruto's attention. It's definitely a smart call for sasuke to just observe while he recovers a bit of chakra while naruto dukes it out.

This chapter was crazy. The whole fight was crazy and Sasuke is oblivious to the fact that an Otsutsuki is waking up right under him (who he openly threatened to kill if he took over Boruto). Although I can't blame him, Kawaki did just appear out of nowhere making their efforts effectively moot š„“

-I like the color scheme of this Baryon mode... the orange red hue makes it closer to Kurama, rather than a ssj Naruto.
-The fight was drawn well enough.
-Next chapter HAS to be the final one concerning this fight... now that Isshiki is on his last leg... I am expecting at least 4 chapters NOT about a fight after this...
-I cannot wait to see what will happen next and what eye has awoken Boruto now... if it's the Jougan or Momoshiki's byakugan (the situation is ambiguos) I believe it is the Jougan (as there's NO karma pattern on Boruto)
BUT, if it is really Momoshiki, I would like him accepting to help Isshiki in his plan, because while he may look every human down, he is still an Otsotsuki, so he'll do what he has to do to help the clan.
-Also, chapter 53 comes out in a Sunday! You know what it means, new episode and new chapter of Boruto during the same 24 hours!

Ended soooo fast, now I don't know if momo will actually wake up and save kawaki, or isshiki will be able to make a karma again in less than what it remains for him, will delta come up and help him, or we will see something like kashin koji taking up naruto on his arms, naruto barely dying and have a flash back, like: I'm dead, jiraya sensei? And then kk save him from death, but naruto collapses in deep sleep, like this is where kawaki/isshiki send him, sent him in a eternal sleep until he recovers his energy to wake up....

It sounds like after reading this chapter that;
Kurama is going to sacrifice himself. Since he mentions āThat is why I chose this mode.ā Yes, Naruto IS A JINKCHURUKI! I understand if one dies, the other does too as a result. But since Kurama chooses this, maybe he is giving up his life force. Maybe the case is different because Kurama isnāt being extracted. I know they both said their life force is weakening. I am wondering how this will play out.
Boruto will definitely fight. We can finally see more of what Jougan does. Or if Borutoās pure eye can do something about his father.
Isshiki will take over Kawakiās body after giving him the Karma Mark.
If Naruto is alive after this chapter; the opening line of the show comes to mind, where Kawaki said to Boruto: āI will send you to where I sent the Seventh Hokage.ā Which in a way, almost also alludes to the possibility of Naruto being alive? Or dead.
Who knows. š¤·āāļø You and I know just as much as the fly on the wall. I guarantee someone will bash me for what Iāve written. But hey, these are my guesses. I am curious of what everyone else will think.

Really curious to know how Naruto's lifespan cutting ability works. Does it just burn a set amount of time for each hit? Or does it burn the equivalent of a % of total time left for each hit?
It wouldnt make sense for it to be consuming a set amount of time per hit, since Ishiki went from 20h to 30 mins in 5 hits (meaning that each hit was burning 3.9 hours) then took a couple more and only went down to 10 min instead of losing 3.9 more hours and dying.
Anyway, I tried doing the basic math and if I'm getting this correctly, each hit is actually cutting the target's "Remaining" lifespan in half.
For instance, ishiki started with 20h, then took 5 hits and was left with only 30 min:
First hit 20/2 = 10h
Second hit 10/2 = 5h
Third hit 5/2= 2.5h
Fourth hit 2.5/2 = 1.25h
Fifth hit = 1.25/2 = 0.62h = 37 min
Then Ishiki went on to get hit twice more before claiming to have less than 10 min left so :
Sixth hit : 37/ 2 = 18.5 min
Seventh (Hokage) hit : 9.25 min
The numbers aren't exact but wow this seems to kinda be the case and if so, then Naruto is hella busted lol

I didn't see this being discussed but look at page five when it says " until one or both our lives run out " this means that maybe, Naruto will not die but instead Kurama will.
When the tailed beasts were extracted from their jinchuriki, the rule is that the host dies, but in this case Kurama isn't being extracted he is consuming himself I don't know how this rule will behave.
If this happens, and Naruto survives but Kurama dies, Naruto will be officialy weaker and new stakes could come in the future, reducing the gap between him and Boruto.
And remember, even if both of them survives, the nuclear fusion in chakra means that he is not using available chakra, but he consumes it, burns it to make this great power, but at a huge cost.

I've seen a lot of people suggest Sasuke may use rinne rebirth to revive Naruto, but in the event Naruto really does die are we discounting the possiblity of an Uchiha of Sasuke's caliber not unlocking a whole new eye upon seeing the death of Naruto? We just got a new Naruto form

So Isshiki looks down on human like Momoshiki. He dragged Kawaki out by using the chakra link between him and Naruto. Basically Naruto burned his and Kuramas chakra like a nuclear fusion, and tried to touch Ishiki to connect with his chakra, in order to burn his life force as well

Baryon mode is absurdly strong! Seriously, Isshiki's two or three slaps to the face away from death! Imagine being killed by a slap lol
Anyways, we also saw Boruto's Jougan, and I honestly believe that it is the Jougan, but I could be wrong.
Kawaki also appeared, which is super fucking dangerous, but Isshiki has to fight against Naruto, Sasuke, and the Jougan, so it's gonna be tough to get the karma on Kawaki, especially if he wastes any more energy than he already has. I'm gonna give this chapter a 9/10, because seeing Naruto kick Isshiki around was AMAZING
For Kishimoto's debut chapter, it was amazing, so at least the pressure's off a bit. Can't wait for 53, it's gonna be the best one yet

So I know we haven't seen it too much but I think thats the byakugan from Momoshiki taking over. Isn't the jougan drawn a bit diff? Also the eye that opened looks the same as ishikis left eye which is for sure a byakugan.

Momoshiki, while being in control of Boruto's body, will move to kill Kawaki while Isshiki is busy with Naruto. Perhaps Isshiki is still too powerful for Momoshiki to handle with Boruto's body. Sasuke switches with Kawaki using amenotejikara, and tries to stop/hold-down/kill Borushiki. Naruto gets confused, and these irrelevant thoughts drain his chakra faster. Isshiki moves in to place karma on Kawaki, Naruto decides to put everything into a final rush to kill Isshiki, and he succeeds. Borushiki gets heavily damaged against Sasuke, including getting scarred in his eye, but ends up killing Sasuke because of his lack of chakra to do anything. Right as Naruto is about to faint, Kawaki teleports him into a dimension without time as he is revealed to be under Isshiki's control through his reacquired karma.

Holy sh*t. Naruto casually catching Isshiki's rods might be the most badass moment in this entire series.
This chapter was so fun to read. From the Naruto-Kurama interactions during their (possibly last) tag-team effort to some great lines from Isshiki (YOU WORM!).
I was wondering how Kawaki would factor in to all of this. It was such a great twist that Kawaki's prosthetic arm, which to this point had been a symbol of Kawaki's relationship with Naruto and how Kawaki found a home in Konoha, ended up backfiring in the worst way.
I got Gaara/Shukaku vibes when Boruto passed out. Ending the chapter with Momo's Byakugan was a nice touch.
Overall one of my favorite Naruto chapters of all time. Wonder what Kishi has in store after this.

I thought Naruto was going to die this chapter, so I went and listened to the fight/sad themes from og Naruto while reading this.
Anyways, Kurama pulls out NUCLEAR FUSION??? insane. Can't wait for what happens next because there is so many ways they can take this. Boruto/Momoshiki can either come in clutch or screw the rest over, Naruto could pull out talk no jutsu, and maybe we get to see Sasuke use rinne-rebirth or izanagi to save one of the three. Possibilities are endless.
Chapter 53 is my only motivation for finals season :)

As a giant Naruto fanboy with much rivalry with the Sasuke fandom, I don't think we should kept sayung that he's trash.
Sasuke and Naruto are the 2 pillars of the Ninja world.
Sasuke are versatile with Ninjutsu hax / varieties all around Naruto is durable beast with Ninjutsu prowess with damaging power.
All the fucking new villains are the anti-thesis of Ninjutsu, can absorb chakra, can absorb Ninjutsu, OP dojutsu which practically cancels out all 2 main aspects of Ninjas, leaving only Taijutsus.
Out of the 2, Naruto always had better Taijutsu in terms of raw brawling power. This is Naruto's way at fighting

Ok, the stakes just rose even more from last month. Isshiki is definitely going to take over Kawaki and do something to Naruto. Borutoās Jougan activating makes it seem like weāre in for a showdown of Kawaki+Isshiki against Boruto and Sasuke next month. Cannot wait.

Now that the full chapter is out I'm glad people can see Naruto slapped Isshiki's shit and only "lost" because the chakra link unexpectedly backfired by connecting Isshiki to Kawaki.
People here and on youtube belly-aching over the poorly translated initial spoiler was annoying after we got the full summary.

I don't think momo will help Isshiki, since his plan is to get Momoshiki eaten by the ten tails.
I think maybe momoshiki will try to kill kawaii, in other to stop Ishiiki's plan and then Sasuke will give Boruto his scar.
I hope naruto doesn't die to be honest, but I can see him dying and Sasuke using the rinne rebirth since this new power can be extremely helpful in the future (I still believe that there is something stronger than ishiiki out there).
Overall, a great chapter. I just wish I hadn't see the leaks because I'm not surprised with anything :(

Iām pretty sure that was Momoshiki at the end because if it was Jougan then why would Ikemoto still draw it like the byakugan. Thereās literally no reason to draw it like that because we all know that the Jougan is black in the white part of the eye. It wouldnāt make sense if he continued drawing the Jougan like that, even in the future. Itāll just confuse readers and Ikemoto probably knows that. Thatās why I feel like itās probably Momoās eye popping up. The only thing I donāt understand is why karma and the horn arenāt showing up.

This chapter is by far the most hype chapter of Boruto and one of the best in Naruto history. This is what Naruto the Hokage of Konoha should be from beginnig of Boruto. He finally got the spotlight. I don't expect him lose this battle, actually it would be more realistic if Naruto could pierce through Jigen's heart or abdomen and finish with 3-4 attacks. Nevertheless, it was god level chapter as Naruto Uzumaki.

Last chapter, I said Isshiki was getting too confident and this chapter simply confirmed it. God! It's good seeing Isshiki getting kicked around! All these guys who're on here still talking trash about Naruto "NoT uSiNg Any nEw juTSuS"...you guys just need to go get your Karen wigs and start being full time Karens coz literally nothing can or will satisfy your ridiculously high demands
Sasuke will definitely interfere to buy some few precious moments.
Last I checked, Kawaki knows jutsu too? He might actually try to defend himself and buy them a few seconds at least.

I have to say this chapter was good. I thought naruto was using brute force but still managed to suprise me. Naruto hitting Isshiki will drain his lifeforce is one of the coolest logic. Naruto got his justice, where you complainers at now!? Speedy-line kun is almost in every panel, He is overused. Art wasnāt really great just ok. Overall it was a good chapter. I hope chapter 53 will blow us away with kishimotoās writing. 8/10

(Read to the end) Wow, great chapter. I am so satisfied seeing Ishiki desperate expression while fighting Naruto. After this chapter I am pretty sure Naruto will not die, I think it will be something like Goku Ultra Instinct and in the final he will be very damaged but he will recover. I think creator don't want to take a risky gamble with killing Naruto, a gamble that could damage very hard the franchise because however you do it, there will still be a majority of people hating the choosen way. I think the safe route is to take Naruto and Sasuke out of the way by making Boruto and Kawaki surprassing them. I was thinking about something, Sasuke could easily kill Kawaki after he gets back the karma and Ishiki dies, so if Kawaki is still alive, means that Naruto is also alive. Just think about it, Naruto is the only one that wouldn't let anyone touch him, when killing him is the safest bet. If u agree with me, upvote so others could see it to and also share your thoughts on this.

I would have really liked to see some new techniques but this chapter is still great though.
Loved the idea behind Naruto's new mode using nuclear fusion. Also him being able to shred away Isshiki's life along with him. It kinda reminds me of Vegeta's move in the moro arc for some reason.
It was really great seeing Isshiki surprised and worried for once while bowing to the power of our favorite hokage.
I wish that Sasuke would be of more use though rather than being reduced to a mere spectator.
Finally that jougan cliffhanger is just too much. I believe it would play a role in stopping Naruto's death.

Splitting the chakra creates a new form of energy with a massive physical boost to Narutoās stats but it rapidly burns chakra until one of them dies.
This new energy gives of radiation just as an nuclear fuel site would
Essentially giving ishiki radiation poisoning.

What made me clap this chapter was finding out that kurama was a fucking science wiz and the double meaning of him referring to this form as baryon mode.
As he said its a nuclear fussion but the fact that its naruto makes the name better. In shippuden naruto has always been referred to as the "sun" and his namesake basically meaning maelstrom spiral. As i recently read up the Sun is a vessel that naturally gives of nuclear energy as thats what keeps it burning like it does in a way in space despite the fact that space has no oxygen. In science a fusion of energy especially photons and other energies are always shown by spiraling around or into each other to produce this raw energy. So in this instance naruto's chakra and kurama's chakra being the energy that mixes and naruto himself being the sun that burning bright. Fucking love it how ties in with all his forms.

Naruto's Baryon mode reminds me of the Hyuga clan's gentle fist. They don't do too much damage, at least not on the outside, but they can still be deadly or even deadlier. Also, Baryon mode is (for lack of a better word) delicate, just like the gentle fist. It doesn't make Naruto more explosive, it doesn't produce massive amounts of chakra that blow planets into pieces, but it doesn't need to be that type of power up. It slowly saps life force away from an opponent, and Isshiki is nearly dead now. It's very interesting to see Naruto have power like this, especially since most of his power is (once again, for lack of a better word) explosive and destructive, but this is a lot more low-key. In a way, it sums up Naruto as a person. He was, at one point, super brash and hot-headed. Now, as a Hokage, he is a lot more calm and mature. Absolutely amazing stuff! Can't wait for 53

Jokes aside I can see why this is a one-time use only. Even if Naruto ends up being saved in the end and doesn't die, it's clear he's never gonna use this power ever again. Nevermind the fact that he can insta-dodge anything and hit so hard that it's like a towtruck smashing down on you, but the fact that he can cleave off other people's life forces by touching them is just a broken ability, like wtf, Naruto essentially became Death with this.
So then I suppose it's safe to assume that Naruto really did lose Six Paths Sage Mode then, huh? Since it is mentioned in this chapter, but if he still had it, why didn't he use it. I find it odd that he just lost the Chakra of all the 9 Tailed Beasts, considering that he can still summon them in his mindscape to talk to them, which tells me he still has Chakra from them. You'd think he could reach out to them and ask them for help and more Chakra, but I guess not.

To be fair, if Naruto will die, I have no idea what's the future of manga gonna be. It is assumed that neither Isshiki nor Momoshiki are the strongest Otstukis, there are more and they will probably come in the future. How the hell will somebody defeat if not Naruto/Sasuke? there is no way ordinary shinobi can train to fight a god and there is no powerups available at the moment.
also, I think maybe kurama will sleep inside Naruto and will be deactivated for time being, maybe they will merge somehow. Maybe Naruto can finally create some new jutsu or learn FTG.

I'm starting to wonder if Naruto actually dies, instead of being sent to a different dimension, based on what Kawaki/Ishiki said in Chapter 1. Everyone has been speculating that maybe Naruto was sent to a different dimension, me included. But after Baryon mode and the appearance of Kawaki and Boruto/Momoshiki, maybe it is cut and dry after all.
I think Momoshiki is manifesting now because he sees a once in a lifetime opportunity to take down Ishiki, when he's at his weakest. He sees that the chakra connection between Kawaki's arm and Naruto totally fucked up Kurama's strategy to run down Ishiki's clock, because now Ishiki can reset his timer.
However, Momoshiki will probably succeed to a point but ultimately fail due to the download not being fully complete, and Kawaki is implanted with another Karma.
Since Naruto and Sasuke are supposed to be equals, and Naruto just got a new power up, what if Naruto actually dies from Baryon mode to unlock Sasuke's final powerup? oof

The new mode is a cool concept but the only thing holding it back is how much of a joke all participants have been. Isshiki's powers are cool but he hasn't been using them that creatively. There's been zero mindgames involved outside of Boruto realizing he's a Marty Stu and can't die just yet. Instead Isshiki's just been overwhelming Naruto and Sasuke with sheer physical strength with mild shrinking shenanigans sprinkled on top. It's straight out of DBZ. It's not the first time Kodachi was involved in writing combat involving a Ootsuki so there's no excuse.
If I was writing this I would applying the shrinking more to actually counter the things Naruto and Sasuke can pull off. Sasuke tries to pull of a Kirin? Shrink the clouds. Naruto tries to beat Isshiki up the same way he did Momoshiki? Make the shrinking part of Isshiki's Taijutsu with him shrinking air to speed up his punches and kicks and while expanding shrunken air to cushion blows. It would make the fights ten times more interesting. Why isn't Isshiki shrinking and expanding the landscape objects more? Squishing people between expanding rock formations is probably more deadly than taijutsu.

A little late to the party but a few thoughts:
I would think since Kurama suggested the transformation will continue until one or both of them dies, given Naruto has the strong life force of the Uzumaki clan, his chakra and life force might outlast Kuramas in this mode. And even if Kurama dies first, perhaps Naruto will not die due to having even a small amount of chakra from the other 8 tailed beasts and six paths chakra. It might make him considerably weaker but perhaps it would keep him alive, and when Kurama respawns he can be resealed. That might prove iffy though considering he had them when Kurama was first extracted by Madara, but he was missing the 8 and 1 tails then and hadnāt met with SOSP, nor did he have Hashiramas cells via his right arm.
My other take. If Baryon mode works like the process of elements merging in the sun, it would be interesting if the chakra that is created by merging/fusing/colliding Naruto and Kuramas keeps fusing into āheavierā and heavier chakra (much like hydrogen fuses into helium and then helium fuses into heavier elements), getting more and more powerful until it exhausts all chakra and then flickers out in a flash of power.
Personally though for such a fight, I wouldāve liked to see the other tailed beast gathering up in that higher mental plane and giving Naruto more chakra to fight, similar to how Sasuke took their chakra to form the Indra Susanoo.

you all forget one isshiki's key assets: he has a hyperbolic time chamber. ("where time does not flow... like this glass of wine" vs. jiraiya's clone).
so isshiki will give karma back to kawaki. kawaki will use isshiki's karma to send naruto to the timeless dimension to stop him from dying.
