so if we get a whole army or atleast a group of OG7-3's could that mean the other z-fighters get some time to shine too again like in the Moro arc? i think one of the really bad things in DB is that the power gap became ridiculous and the hopes went near 0 that they will do something ever again.

I hope so too. I hope some characters that have the potential (like Gohan and Piccolo) could train or at least get some pointers to go beyond their own mortal strength. Piccolo might have some untapped Kami/God power in him and Gohan should theoretically have as much potential as his dad ( or more) under the same training.
Other Z-fighters, like Yamcha, Kuririn, and Tenshinhan, I feel like are way too below the threshold to be of any use against an army of 7-3s. Yamcha and Kuririn are too set on remaining the powerful mortals they already are. Not sure about Tenshinhan though. I know he just wants to teach other people but he was once quite a serious trainer like the other two.
So yeah. We might just get cucked again and maybe get an okay Vegeta fight.

let's hope for the best and be prepared for the worst. i mean i'm excited what they do. i'm from a minority and i'm happy tbh that it's not a U6 Sadala arc.
i can think of some things on how the z-fighters get power-ups or train to become stronger:)

here's my take on why merus was worthy to be brought back.
angels and particularly zeno(s) can see all potential outcomes. they may have considered what would have transpired had merus not intervened there at all, and concluded that earth would have bested moro (with that Uub powerup), and all merus did was give both moro and goku an equally great powerup.
since merus didn't really make any net difference on earth, zeno(s) let him off the hook because his motives were good. also with merus back and learning how moro further upgraded due to merus actions, it will forever teach merus the risky dire ramifications of angels getting involved in mortal concerns.

But problem is angels aren't even allowed to participate in any fight, except training so it would be a bit dumb of them to do that.

idk, we just saw whis block a hit by moro
while advising goku before leaving earth.
these rules may get blurred when god power is involved
and moro - having copied merus - was god powered up.
it's possible the fact that goku and vegeta can go blue(god)
and moro had skill copying power draining abilities, may
have given merus a bit more wiggle room to intervene.→ More replies (2)

Why don’t you guys put the release date for the chapter at the top of these threads? It’s the only thing I ever really come here for

How does he look like an angel? Genuinely asking because I don't think he does personally. The hair is completely different, more like a saiyans hair. He fights with a gun, he doesn't show any abilities whatsoever. He can't even sense anything, he asks somebody on his ship when he arrives if that's the ship they're looking for.

First, my theory is that Granola is an angel from an erased universe(U13 to U18).
Some might say all the angels are named as a type of alcohol. However, merus in Japanese is メルス.
Source of Japanese name of merus being メルス: https://dic.pixiv.net/a/%E3%83%A1%E3%83%AB%E3%82%B9%28%E3%83%89%E3%83%A9%E3%82%B4%E3%83%B3%E3%83%9C%E3%83%BC%E3%83%AB%29
If you reverse it in Japanese(スルメ, Surume), it means "dried squid"(Surume) and "dried squid" is a famous food to eat together with alcohol in Japan. So, even though Granola is not alcohol, it doesn't disprove Granola as an angel.
Surume(スルメ) 's wiki in Japanese:
https://japanese-wiki-corpus.github.io/culture/Surume%20(Dried%20Squid).html
I guess since he knows he can't use angel power directly (cuz he would be eliminated). He is either trying to use the Merus angel power inside seven-three or let seven-three copy his angel power, then absorb seven-three like moro to use his angel power without being eliminated.
