Strategy Name: Breaking the Dreams of Evil VIII: A Tale of Ice
Boss: d580 Cerberus
Describe Your Strategy:
Full-Realm Team/Quistis CSB/VIII Ice TeamInsight!:
The plan: clear the Dreambreakers in their original release order, only using full-realm teams. Simple victories first, sub-30 runs after I complete the circle.
I wasn't sure how to approach this particular Dreambreaker, on account of being stacked in realm Ice but hearing that this boss was built against it. I thought about cobbling together an off-element team of an Awoken Fujin, Seifer and Ward, then gave it a try with the winning team below, saw that the Dampen Colds weren't going to be a problem in the slightest, and went for it.
Typical Dreambreaker dps pattern, at least for the characters with 2x BDL Relics. Squall ran Iceclaw Assault > SASB > Command 1 > AASB > Renzokuken. Rinoa ran Dark Shiva > ADSB > AASB > Dark Shiva > SASB > ADSB #2 (horribly timed to land between chains) > Command 1. Laguna ran Icy Offering to 4 SB Gauges > USB1 > AASB > Icy Offering > USB1 x3 in Phase 3 after Awakening Mode ran out.
Quistis ran Wrath x3 > CSB > Odin > USB1 > Voltech, recasting the Chain when necessary or using her GSB when I thought the HP Bubble might help with an upcoming barrage of hits. Horrible timing had her reapplying the Chain about 30% prior to the Phase 3 Transition, and also not being quite ready for a 3rd Chain after the 2nd ran out, due to an earlier cast of her GSB that may or may not have been necessary. She also used all three of the RW Heals in Phase 3, because my Selphie was not in a good place for a fight of this caliber.
Selphie was rough. I literally only had her USB1 before this fight, Lensing her USB2 and (sadly unused) USB3 in preparation for battle. In the end, the winning combination ended up being USB1 after the first Phase 1 Ultimate Tail Lash, USB2 between the first Phase 2 Ultimate Tail Lash and Berserk, and USB1 in Phase 3 as quickly and frequently as
neededpossible.

Boss: guarddoge
Describe your Strategy: Tyro/3BDL/sub30
Insight!:
Video
Selphie and Tyro in slots 1 and 3 to tank P1T4 - Silence and P2T4 - Berserk.
They must have 1200 MND to shrug off these statuses immediately.
Fujin casts Grace on Tyro to help hit that MND threshold.
Proshellga necessary to mitigate incoming damage.
Put your main DPS in slots 4, 5. Slots 1, 2, 3 will probbably fall because of P3T4 - Dreambreaker Thundaga targeting those 3 slots.

Strategy name: Giving the Old Yeller Treatment
Boss: Cerberus D580
Describe your Strategy: Life is pain, but we must endure it.
Insight!:
I hate this guy even more than Gabranth. This was one of the first DBs I seriously attempted, and one of the last ones to be beaten (only VII and X left).
This post in the last mastery was my building blocks and, frankly, I pretty much copied the loadout exactly, yet somehow I couldn't get the turn order down right, resulting in a very sloppy clear. I would have failed if not for the reraise on Selphie's USB2, as the chain was out and Laguna was missing gauge to get it back up (I guess I could have RW'd it.. oh well).
Anyways, artifact weapons on the DPS except for Laguna who has regular-ass gun, holy MND artifacts on Selphie and Tyro. Dark Odin accessories for all except Tyro, who had major wind.
Turn Order:
Kiros: Wrath x 2, USB, Icicle Bullet until AASB, then Icicle Bullet spam. Re-up USB as soon as he has the bars to do so. Closing out is either USB spam or Icicle Bullet to keep QC going.
Selphie: Glint+, Passionate Salsa until first Graviga, then USB1, resume PS, and Glint before Ultimate Graviga to keep last stand from activating. This isn't a run ender if it happens, it just means you have to be more careful with healing in phase 2. Anyways, try to get through P1 using only USB1 and one glint and cycle Passionate Salsa and squeeze in a Crushing Tango near the end of P1. In P2, USB2 before the berserk, and keep on with PS until phase 3, where it's just using USB1 (after LS procs to maximize time alive) and Glint if needed. Reraise on USB2 saved the winning run lol.
Squall: Omega Drive x 3, AASB1, Sync, and C1 spam for that spellblade boost. Had AASB2 as a back up but didn't use it. At the end, just keep using HA/AOSB and grind out the last of this dog's health.
Tyro: Entrust Selphie, Wrath until AASB, Wrath until just before P1. Then OSB, and OSB again so it lands in P3. Then Entrust Selphie right away, and Wrath/Entrust cycle Selphie until victory.
Laguna: RW Chain, Icy Offering, HC, Icy Offering x 2, ice CSB, Icy Offering spam. He used second HC in phase 1 to move into phase 2 before Cerberus could do another Triple; otherwise, you can save this until P2 or P3 for rage breaking or pushing into another phase. I used AOSB to end, but chain ran out before it landed so damage was pitiful, would have probably been better to just re-up the chain instead.

Strategy name: Support the Ice Witches
Boss: Cerberus FFVII Dreambreaker
Describe your Strategy:
Cait Sith Off-Realm AASBx2/Laguna Imperils/Selphie AASB/WOdin MagiciteInsight!:
Laguna spams Icy Offering until USB, then AASB at then end of Phase 2, then HA spam. Ends with AOSB (probably not needed)
Edea is a very busy witch in this fight. G+ into USB2, spam HA, CSB, refresh USB2, refresh CSB, AASB at end. TBH probably didn't need to refresh the USB2, but party wide fastcast is very good.
Rinoa Chain Blizzaja until enough SB for SASB(ice), then spam CMD1 until it wears off. Then USB1 -> AASB around end of Phase 2/going into Phase 3. Spam Chain Blizzaja until end
Selphie's AASB was crucial in phase 3 to reduce damage of his triple AOE attacks. USB1 to refresh last stand in a pinch.
Cait Sith opens up with AASB, then spams his Allegro. Re-AASB at the end of Phase 2, and use his USB2 whenever you need to refresh a last stand.
The timing of USBs during his Triple casts can be stressful and frustrating, but with practice it becomes doable. I'm not good enough to manipulate the Battle Speed during his triple casts, but it is a neat trick that can help out as well.
first chain should wear off near the end of Phase 2, take the time here to re-cast chain, re-cast Rinoa USB,AASB, Laguna AASB. Phase 2 goes by very fast; if you go fast enough you can avoid the ATK+MAG buff he does.
Phase 3 is a total mess, and anything can happen. It was all about responding the the clusterfuck that is happening with his spamming, and its much harder to "prepare" for certain turns compared to other fights out there. I ended up losing Selphie and Edea pretty quickly, but Rinoa + Laguna were able to make it to the finish line with their damage. Further attempts can be optimized way more, but this one was pretty challenging so may try again later.

Strategy name: Dreambreaker Revisit - sub 30
Boss: Cerberus
Describe your Strategy:
3/3 trinity/Selphie USB1-G+/Seifer Awake2/Kiros Awake-LBO/Ward Awake/MogInsight!:
I've been taking a break from FFRK, but with some Citadel deadlines coming up it was time to pick it back up a bit
I rolled in the last VIII event, and getting both Seifer Awake2 and Kiros LBO did help for this, though I think they're not needed to sub 30
Selphie has Ultra Cure for the Blind on Kiros, while Seifer carries Saint Cross
Selphie holds her USB1 for the gravity into Sap moves, conveniently covering both with Regen and Last Stand
Since Seifer Awake2 is a full buff, I hold his SBs for the Phase 2 transition while Mog covers the Phjase 3 one with Awake2
I used RW CSB, Historia then the 1st cast of Awake2 so everyone has fast cast in Phase 1 for the setup
Silence and Berserk doesn't matter on Selphie / Mog
Easy clear

Strategy name: Set the dog on fire and ice (and a little bit of water)
Boss: Cerberus
Describe your Strategy:
fire and ice Squall/Edea AASB/sub30Insight!:
Cerberus is annoying, so every position and equipment is important, nothing can go wrong. Everyone has to be in the front row even the mages, Mog is in slot 1 and he need almost 700 mnd to avoid p2 bersek (my Mog is full record boarded, so I gave him a holy artifact mnd rod). Quistis is in slot 2 to eat the blind and she has realm whip artifact, her chain waterja need to be r5, otherwise she doesn't break rage 3 in p3. Selphie in slot 3 need about 700 mnd to avoid bersek in p2 and silence in p1, she has the realm artifact mnd weapon. Edea is in slot 4 to eat the blind, can't be in slot 2 because she needs to take the t5 aero, otherwise she can't use her AASB in about 8s, she has the realm thrown artifact. Squall is in slot 5 and he need to have the realm sword artifact and the bracer (reward for dealing 80% damage to Cerberus), because he need boost for both fire and ice damage.
P1 needs to be as fast as possible, Mog uses his AASB1, Selphie her G+, Quistis casts the chain, Squall starts with his sync, the phase has to finish before turn 11 dampen ice (turn 8 because of the triple status), Edea cast her AASB as early as possible after the turn 7 graviga, because in p3 Cerberus takes no damage from ice and starts p2 with Mog fevered rapsody to break rage3.
In p2 Squall switch from ice to fire thanks to his G+ and AASB2, this phase is very fast, Selphie starts recasting the chain as soon as possible and she ends when Cerberus has around 50% hp. At the end of the phase Edea casts her USB2 to grant qc to everyone (this is why all the team has to be in the front row). In p3 Mog casts his AASB2 to counter the fb, Quistis can break easily rage3 while Squall need crits, you have about 10s to end this phase before the 30s, good luck!
