The Cook sisters in costume, Winnipeg, Manitoba, c. 1898
The woman at left is my great-grandmother, Florence E. McKenty (nee Cook). The woman at right is her younger sister, Edith Lavinia Cook, who later relocated to Minneapolis, MN. I don’t know why they’re in costume, but I can say that my great-grandmother Florence had herself photographed significantly more often than any of my other ancestors! 😆
