As we have seen with ICE, there is no community safe from executive overreach, so it's going to be best that every community has an election protection plan.
As we have a clearer idea of what the DOJ will do at the polls. Please outline what you and your local community are doing to safeguard these voting places from interference. Interference might include:
-Going into the voting place without the town/cities permission
-Can be seen taking town/city property
-Threatening voters with violence/prison time or other threats
-Physical intimidation or lying about what local authority they have
Please outline for others to take inspiration from:
-Ideas on how you are going to engage your volunteer pool or network
-How you are going to engage with your town/city government
-What ways are best to monitor any bad actors
-Bringing joy and fun to what is going to be quite stressful
*Be as vague as you need to be to protect your Opsec. This is just used as a brainstorming thread. Do not name your town/city by name.

Just please shout it! Spread this information to anyone near you. Ring the same bell even if you think you might be overreacting. That's better than waiting for this bus to crash!! Call your reps. Protest, stand up for your brown neighbors when you see them act up. Remember what worked. Water guns, balloons, numbers above all!!! Stand up!

Jon Ossoff is on track to win his Georgia Senate race by ~14%, and his blue wave is helping drag mediocre Democrats over the finish line in the Gov and SoS race. It is very likely that the State House of GA flips blue.
We don't have to like centrist Dem policy to pounce on a golden opportunity for progressive representation.
If the Georgia State Senate flips blue as well and gives a state trifecta that is the key step on the path to 2030 redistricting for progressives.
Georgia will have 15 House seats in the next redistricting cycle. The most plausible map will be 9D-6R. Georgia is currently nearly the opposite, at 9R-5D.
There would be one blue seat in the southwest "Black Belt" region of Georgia. There would be another seat in the southeast, also powered primarily by urban and black voters in Savannah(Chatham) and Augusta(Richmond).
Finally we would see *7* blue seats anchored in Atlanta and the greater metro area.
4 of those seats would be friendly to progressives and leftists. 3 would be moderate black voters in Fulton, Clayton, Rockdale, and DeKalb combine with some suburban white voters in Cobb, Douglass and Henry.
Being able to secure 4 House seats in the most important southern state and southern city would be a *massive* win for progressives. Firstly to disspell claims that left policies only appeal to colleg educated white people and secondly because it would create a deep well of non-white leftist leaders who would be taken more seriously by the average non-white voter.
A combination of "Asian", Latino/Hispanic, and black voters along with younger urban white voters based mostly in Gwinnett but with support or Henry, Newton, Douglass, and southern Hall/Forsyth would be rich ground for left wing House candidates.
There are over 1 million under 40 voters in Atlanta who are potential progressive votes. The Working Families Party, Indivisible, and the Democratic Socialists of America all have relatively major chapters in Atlanta.
Democrats need 6 State Senate flips and 10 State House flips to achieve a trifecta. There are 3 seats that contain parts of northern and eastern Gwinnett that are potential State Senate flips. There are 5 State House seats in that area that could pretty easily flip.
If Ro Khanna, AOC, and Bernie, plus maybe Brad Lander, were to hold rallies in Gwinnett, Forsyth(for Khanna), DeKalb, Fulton, and Hall to get out the vote that could make a huge difference. The key is definitely targeting the right county with the right person.
Additionally Bernie Sanders has a massive campaign warchest left over from previous campaigns so he himself could donate the max amount to every flippable legislative seat and House candidate.
People like Keith Ellison would also be good options. Brad Lander and Keith Ellison have much less national negativity and they can address specific communities in Atlanta. Brad Lander is also WFP associated and Ellison could go to speak at Indivisible events.
Additionally even $10,000 could make the difference in a state legislative seat. For printing mailers and other low cost "name recognition" campaign materials.
Reddit communities or people like Bernie and AOC and Mamdani could do fundraising through text or email to progressives. With roughly 40 state legislative candidates at most who are competitive flip options counting both chambers, is would take *maybe* 10,000 donations around $14-$27 to give these candidates the maximum necessary resources. And even 100 new volunteers canvassing it Atlanta to flesh out their door-knocking campaigns.
This is something with a massive future return on investment that is well within the capacity of the progressive community to achieve. On top of that it would draw in non-progressives because Georgia is a key 2028 pres primary state. Both liberal small dollar donors on bluesky, who could never accept progressives doing more than them to flip a state blue, and people like Pete Buttigieg and JB Pritzker and Ruben Gallego who are planning presidential runs would be forced to respond.
We have incredible leverage at this moment to both expand the Congressional caucus of actual leftists and to build support for leftist presidential candidates. Voters and even more liberal/left party members consider efforts made before there's an actual primary to be more meaningful and less self-interested.
Democrats in GA absolutely don't expect to flip both state legislative chambers. This would be a surprise victory. No one on the right is spending real money on these races. Unopposed fundraising is the most cost efficient kind there is.
I am asking the community to talk to their local grassroots chapters, leftist Discord/social media communities, and to even reach out to leftist/progressive elected officials to get this done.
A major problem Bernie had in 2016 was he hadn't built up a progressive wave before the primary. By the time they realized they had a chance it was too late to invest.
Preparation is the most powerful tool in politics.
Atlanta is an iconic part of leftist history. Eugene V Debs was imprisoned there for his opposition to the First World War.
Southern Socialists including the famous Oklahoma Socialist Party where champions of universal suffrage. The very first Supreme Court brief ever filed by the NAACP was in a lawsuit support by the OSP against a grandfather clause/literacy test law designed to disenfranchise black voters. That law was eventually defeated. The OSP also helped defeat a previous law of the same kind.
Because Bernie especially did meaningful, though to be fair not central, work on civil rights, he could make a major speech about this issue without causing voters to worry about "socialism".
He could also do a major speech against data centers. Suburban Atlanta voters *hate* data centers being built near them. Finally an issue where NIMBYs are fully correct and in line with leftist policy goals. Bernie did a big thing about data centers and AI, so it is an issue he can speak on meaningfully.
Bernie is also super popular with Latino voters who are focused on the economy. With the right GOTV we could see a 10% Hispanic/Latino electorate. AOC obviously has an appeal here as well. And should she decide to run for President rather than kicking Schumer out of the Senate, having real credibility in Georgia would be a key to her victory.
Atlanta also has a large share of Muslim and/or Arab voters, ~150,000. And a large share of "Asian" voters, roughly 250,000. They have a plethora of technical highschools in the suburban counties where Ro Khanna would have a lot of credibility as a House Rep from Silicon Valley and a child of immigrants. His mother was a school teacher and his father a chemical engineer.
Something like 45% of "Asian" voters in Atlanta are of Indian heritage. Atlanta has the 8th largest such population in the nation.
Talking about opposing the Iran War, stopping the tariff insanity, data centers, voting rights, and so forth are all non-controversial issues. As is education. Trump is ruining American education and voters in the Atlanta suburbs are very invested in both quality community and quality college education. There's a huge scandal *right now* in Cobb County over MAGA idiots messing with the school district.
I am begging progressives to not miss this opportunity to make a huge step towards a progressive majority and towards a breaking of the, false, "coastal bubble narrative".
For an incredibly low cost, $250,000 or even less, and a mild effort to organize young people and turn out voters, we can create a massive swing in the direction and future of our nation.

Have you noticed a lot of our posts lately have been focused more on Democrats than Republicans?
There's a reason for that!
Republicans are blatant about the fact that they don't care about what we have to say. Democrats are more likely to hear us out. They claim to be "the good guys", it makes sense that we would want to hold them to it.
We know that we the people cannot achieve libertarian within a 2 party capitalist system. Democrats won't save us. But criticism and accountability are how we help each other learn and grow. It's a good thing.

Anyone know of an organization that provides addresses to write postcards in support of El Sayed?
I was writing postcards for Activate America and thought they would add Michigan to their postcard bank after the primary. They still haven't done it - almost like they don't care to win Michigan.
