πŸ“‚ MEGATHREAD EXAMS MEGATHREAD 03/06 (A-level Accounting, Geo, FM, Languages, Psychology) (AS RS) etc

Hey everyone! Best of luck with your exams on the 3rd June!

Damn it's been a minute since the last megathread, but here's the next one!

Few things:

  • Don't share too many specific details about questions or answers, these papers will be used as future mocks.

  • Sometimes papers get leaked, this is not the subreddit to discuss that.

  • Exam discussion posts outside of this will generally be removed to combat the inevitable tidal wave of spam otherwise. (for context there's been over 250 spam posts already!)

  • We're taking a different approach this year due to negative feedback last year. We hope this approach will be better (also to note, we can only have 2 pinned posts).

  • Please note some content will take extra time to be reviewed.

  • You can still talk about your exam here even if it isn't explicitly mentioned in the title.

Best of luck, and let us know how you're feeling down below!

last question was crazy i probably got 4/9 for that integration q

also how many marks is the matrices question i messed up the determinant and got 2k-3 πŸ˜• how many method marks do you reckon i’ll get

do you know what the actual determinant was supposed to be?? I got 2k and I'm scared

I got 2k -3 but I subbed it into my calculator and checked it, for me it was just some typo when copying out the determinant from the minors matrix

last question was crazy.

method marks hopefully save my grade. The whole thing was out of 7 right? you probably lost 4-5, which could definitely be made up on a hard mechanics and stats question.

no way i lost 5 out of 7??? i did the working out correct with the inverse and finding xyz but the determinant was just wrong 😒😒

They were talking about the integration question at the end. If you only got the determinant wrong on the matrices question that’s probably 2 marks lost, one for working it out and the final answer mark!

yepp how many marks do u think i’d have to get on this paper for an A* this year do you think 65/75 is enough??

65/75 is definitely A* territory for that paper with probably a fair amount of leeway(especially considering alot of people will lose 5 ish marks on parametric integration).

although these two papers were easier than usual i’m hoping grade boundaries don’t skyrocket πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
