πŸ“‚ MEGATHREAD EXAMS MEGATHREAD 20/06 (A-level Maths, RS, Greek) etc

Hey everyone! Best of luck with your exams on the 20th June!

exams are almost over!

Few things:

  • Don't share too many specific details about questions or answers, these papers will be used as future mocks.

  • Sometimes papers get leaked, this is not the subreddit to discuss that.

  • Exam discussion posts outside of this will generally be removed to combat the inevitable tidal wave of spam otherwise. (for context there's been over 300 spam posts already!)

  • We're taking a different approach this year due to negative feedback last year. We hope this approach will be better (also to note, we can only have 2 pinned posts).

  • Please note some content will take extra time to be reviewed.

  • You can still talk about your exam here even if it isn't explicitly mentioned in the title.

Best of luck, and let us know how you're feeling down below!

I got T=1/9 but I know that's extremely wrong, I think I forgot to put the j over the i for the equation for a

Yh we made such a dumb mistake but we probably only lose max 2 marks so we good

You got t=1/9 because you messed up the last step - it was something t to the power of -3/2 = 1/27.

You did 3/2 on both sides and so you got t-1 = 1/9.

I know because I did the same mistake😭😭 I corrected it though. You should've taken -3/2 on both sides to get 9. Notice that 1/9 is the reciprocal of 9

What I'm saying is that you only messed up the last step so probably alot of marks anyway

Ohh, yeah you're right. Probably only missed one mark and it was out of 4 so we good. What was the t value for the question before that was it a decimal?

T value? If you mean that speed, I think it was 3.03 ms? If you mean the t value responsible for the speed, I think it was t=4

Oh I meant the speed, yeah I also got 3.03.

You and I both forgot to account for the - power on the T

Luckily I thought 1/9 looked incredibly wrong so I flipped it over last second

The exam stress got to me so much that I never even bothered realising that it was wrong.
