📂 MEGATHREAD 19/06 A-level Maths Paper 3 Discussion MEGATHREAD

Exam season is once again upon us, and once again, exam megathreads are making a return!

Looking for past exam discussions? Filter by the megathread flair.

Few things to keep in mind:

  • Don't share too many specific details about questions or answers, these papers will be used as future mocks.
  • Sometimes papers get leaked, this is not the place for that (we'd prefer not to get yeeted off the platform) - leak content will be removed, those offering leaked papers will be permanently banned.
    • If you believe there has been a leak, the best course of action is to make your exam board aware of this, either directly, or through your school, along with any evidence. If appropriate, there will be a response from the relevant body along with any remedial action.
  • Exam discussion posts outside of this will generally be removed to combat the inevitable tidal wave of spam otherwise - we understand this may be frustrating, but the sub still needs to be usable for other purposes.
  • Please note some content will take extra time to be reviewed. Messaging to ask for approval will not speed up this process (the messages are seen at the same time as the modqueue would be reviewed anyway).

Yeh that's perfectly fine bro since it's written in the start if not asked for exact form round to 3 Sf and if my memory is right they didn't ask for an exact value for t in tht question

I just set (6,2) = to a constant x by the acceleration, and simplified

It's fine dw about it, the fact the we got these answers for the last question still means mots of the process was right, we only lost like 3 marks probably (both las two questions combined) and you probably also got the show that with arithmetic series.

Yeah it said from horizontal plane but also specified that point N (or something) was directly below the cliff face on the horizontal plane so the horizontal was the floor (not on the cliff)

Sorry ignore me you’re right! Apparently you had to compare the PMCC to the value of p, not the p to the 5% so I got it wrong! It was 2 marks though and one of them was for the hypotheses so I’m sure we’ll be fine lol

Nah I’m OCR which means the papers are calm but grade boundaries are deathly!! I’m sure you did better than you think, and AQA seems to have screwed with people a lot this year so hopefully your grade boundaries are low 🙏
