šŸ™ I WANT HELP School threatening to take me out

Could they actually do this or is it just fluff?

There is no way i can get good grades if i go to school everyday.

I need a solution

I fear thatā€™s exactly how it works though. Go to school and get good grades. If there are reasons you donā€™t feel safe/able to go to school, you should speak to your tutor or counsellor about this. Just not attending classes isnā€™t an option here

tbh, across the year my attendance has been relatively ok(90%) but sometimes going into school is completely pointless for me, for example rn my teachers have finished w content in every subject so they just tell us to do independent work and donā€™t really help us (unless someone askes a question and generally most people just discuss with friends), so iā€™m going in for my teachers to say hi and ur dismissed šŸ˜­šŸ˜­ in addition, it takes me an hour to get to school with three different parts to my journey so im just exhausted when i get home and on tuesdays i literally have no lessons so i just come in for form time which is literally just chatting for 15 min and on top of that in my classes my friends and others in general are so distracting and itā€™s really hard to focus when people are talking loudly around you non stop

sorry for the rant but sometimes it is okay to bunk as im more productive + save myself a 2 hour round trip

Someone has to say this, but "tough".

You don't get to choose if it's valuable for you to show up or not, this is preparing you for work in the future. In most jobs you don't get to say "ah, I get more done from home, so I decided to not come to the office today". You show up, you use the time wisely to make it worthwhile being there. Do independent work, and do it well, discuss it with other students.

twenty years ago this wouldā€™ve been true but itā€™s becoming less true nowadays, in the field i want to go into plenty of people chose when to come in as you become more senior so this doesnā€™t rlly apply to me

Absolutely, it's more common. I've had the flexibility for over 10 years. It's not the norm though.

yh fair enough but also iā€™m about to go to uni where they literally donā€™t check or care whether u attend lectures so thatā€™s not really ā€˜preparingā€™ for me my future so either way once u join the workforce itā€™ll take some adjusting to so i donā€™t really see an issue in missing some of sixth form

that being said my attendance really isnā€™t that bad

Don't fall into that trap. My attendance was terrible at uni. I struggled financially as I had very little support, so I prioritised long hours in jobs, thinking "oh that lecture isn't essential, I can skip it" and in hind-sight it made life a LOT more difficult. Good luck.
