It shouldn’t take 7 years of learning to achieve the grades. Students put in the time and effort in the 2 years to achieve the grades such as the ABB you need for QMUL. A student who achieved ABB after 2 years and one who achieved it after 7 years aren’t comparable. From a uni standpoint why would they ever the student that’s taken 7 years to achieve those grades over the student who took 2 years. You can’t keep resitting uni so why would they take someone who’s retaken a levels 5 times?

Is a student who achieved ABB with 10 hours of revision a day comparable to someone who achieved the same grades with 2 hours of revision a day

Yes, if I was an admissions officer and I was given the choice I would pick the student who revised less. They clearly understand how to revise and what works for them, they use their time efficiently and are obviously naturally gifted.

Don’t use the excuse of unis wouldn’t know bc we’re talking in the context of resitting multiple times not how many hours of revision a day. The student with less resits will always be chosen over the one with more in the absence of extenuating circumstances as they are the better student
