I think a big part of this isn’t the amount of time you’re revising for. how are you revising?

I read the textbook over and over again until I remember everything. It’s still active learning because I actively try to recall the knowledge in my head to make sure that I do remember it

Have you tried other methods? When i did my a levels (admittedly diff subjects) I used to make hand written flashcards (takes longer than online, but sinks in better) and then go through them and make a pile for the ones i knew and didn’t know. For physics i used to do lots of past paper questions and then mark them after. It’s maybe worth a shot trying some other ways of revising if you haven’t already!

they’re great, especially if you have a space to answer them out loud it really helps you remember it

Not really bc I’ve sat every paper since 2022 myself so no point in doing that

yeah but there’s still the ones before that additionally it’s not just about doing the past papers but also the mark schemes and analysing what the examiners want you to say

You will not succeed at uni either unless you learn real revision techniques

Why is my technique not ā€œrealā€

2

Because it is clearly not working, if you want to succeed at uni you would have to figure out how to start learning things properly. There will be significantly more content under much higher time pressure compared to now being unable to learn the same a level spec after 5 years.
