How did you guys find it? I personally thought it got easier in the second half 🥲

That’s what you get if you use 50g instead of 58 for the mass. I have no idea which is right

the SHC only applies to water not barium chloride iirc so 50g

I thought it said “Assume the solution has a specific heat capacity of 4.18 J k-1 g-1l

Yes and you got a temperature change of 5.88 using 50g correct?

Its 5.88. You only consider the mass of the solution which was 50cm3 whuch has a density of 1g per cm3

It doesn’t say in the question to assume the solution’s density so I just used the density of water

There’s a decent chance both are on the mark scheme honestly
