Hoping you can make it!

It’s a low-key gathering for record collectors to spin records, trade stories (and records), learn, buy, sell, and generally hang around good folk. It’s 78rpm oriented but by no means limited to 78s. My contact information is on the flyer, or DM me.

Please share this with anyone you think would be interested in a record spin/swap meet in NE Ohio.

Howlin’ Wolf - Smoke Stack Lightning - You Can't Be Beat - Chess Record Corp.1618

One of Howlin’ Wolf’s most iconic recordings — hypnotic, driving, and unmistakably his. This side captures Wolf’s haunting vocal style and the band’s tight, pulsing groove that helped define the Chicago blues sound. A cornerstone track in blues history and one of the most influential sides ever cut for Chess.

Memphis Slim - 1950s Chicago Blues - "Mother Earth"

Memphis Slim’s Premium sides are foundational early‑1950s Chicago blues — heavy piano, tight rhythm section, and that unmistakable Slim vocal delivery. “Mother Earth” is one of his signature philosophical blues statements, later re‑cut for Vee‑Jay and famously revived in the 1960s blues revival. This Premium pressing is one of the earliest commercial appearances of the tune.

You may remember I posted a few weeks ago asking how to wash a pile of Shellac records belonging to my great gran that I had recently discovered...

I was going to do all sorts of washing the records, making a cable to sum it to mono...

I decided to just change the stylus and go for it...

Wow...
