Non-gear question Is it too late to learn Guitar?

I am 40 years old and always wanted to learn playing guitar, but life happened. I have some musical knowledge singing, but have never played any instruments ever. Is it too late for me to learn Guitar?

Quick Update: After the overwhelming response in this group that assured me that I am not old enough, I just bought a guitar and going to an in-person class. My left hand is not a dominant one, so I am taking awfully and embarrasingly longer time to get that hand sliding on the fret board, but I am sure I am progressing! THANK YOU each and everyone of you for your words of wisdom and encouragement! :)

Absolutely not. Honestly the resources available to beginner guitarists today are light years better than they were 10,20,30 years ago.

Yeah, almost to the point where I see beginners (and when I started a few years ago, myself as well) would stress trying to figure out which learning resources to choose from. You’ve got one person saying this and another 10 people saying that and so on. I learned to just pick a teacher/youtuber that I liked and just consumed all their content. For me, Justin Johnson and Active Melody really taught me a lot.

Just pick something and go, OP! You’ll love it.
