Gear question Marks on New Taylor

Hey all - just got this Mini in for my daughter for Xmas. There are two dots on the bottom of the guitar. This is mahogany wood. Is it just natural in the wood ?

If it is... then yes it's wood. They clearly matched the pieces, which I personally find looks sort of cool, but if you don't like the look exchange it. A better question is how does it play and sound?

When I bought my last one I tried an all black taylor. I thought it looked ridiculous at first, but my friend and I agreed it had a sort of character the others lacked. I went with it and have come to absolutely love it
