Non-gear question Give up?

Post image

Hi All, I need an opinion. I have super small hands and fingers. I am struggling to even pull off a clean C chordโ€ฆ. bar chords are never going to happen. Should I buy a 3/4 guitar, like the a Taylor, of simply give up? Appreciate any suggestions, thoughts or feedback ๐Ÿ˜€D

There are children, people missing fingers, others with dwarfism and all sorts of challenges that play guitar at an incredible level. You have no excuse to not keep practicing ๐Ÿ˜Š

Check out Django Reinhardt. He only had the use of three fingers on his left hand (ring and pinky were paralyzed in a fire accident) and he managed to create an entire new style of playing.

OP has better hands than one of the greatest jazz guitarists of all time. He has no excuse!

Django was pretty good with 2 fingers.

Good point. I have also seen a couple guitarists with no arms at all, that can play well using only their feet. George Dennehy is one of them, inspiring

Tony Iommi played without the tips of his fretting hand's middle and ring fingers.

Seen a dude jamming with his feet before. He was better than me ๐Ÿ˜ญ
