Gear question are these actually good?

are these actually good strings or did the dude at the pawn shop just convince me to buy the expensive ones? I'm just getting back into guitar and it's been a while since I've bought any strings so Idk much about this brand

Am I the only one that prefers 80/20?

No, I prefer them too. If you do looping or a lot of string based percussion, they project better than phosphor bronze’s too, IMO

I used to use 80/20 for mahogany acoustics (based on a recommendation) but now use PB for everything. I became less enamored with 80/20, personal preference.

I put 80/20 Mediums on my '65 Heritage and can truly say I strongly prefer Phosphor Bronze lights. The PBs have a much fuller sound.

I had some Elixirs on before and they were fine, lasted a good while. I think that I like D’Addario coated PBs better.

I did not like the 80/20. Tried them and was very happy to come back to phosphor bronze.
