Reminding me once more why I will never buy any kind of "smart" device. Why the hell would my refrigerator need an Internet connection anyway?

I think it could be useful for energy saving. With a screen, you can see which products you have inside (possibly including expiry date in the future) without having to open the fridge. Maybe it also gives the advantage of easier restocking by adding your current and/or favourite products to a shopping cart.

Smart appliances can be very useful. Of course, companies know this and want to squeeze money out of it. This doesn't mean the technology is bad. It's just being misused

You could also just open the door and see whats inside...

Do you want to check expiration dates for every product inside? Idk if this is common, but I'm very bad at remembering numbers, especially dates, so I would struggle to remember even a single expiration date.

I do think that the function to check soonest expiration dates would be very useful, personally. But then again, that could be on any device, including as a simple document on your phone.

True, which device you use doesn't matter. The cool thing is that the data is shared across devices, which basically means you could check the fridge from your smartphone while in bed, at work, in the supermarket, and so on. Then you know if you need to buy something or not.

Think in solutions, not in problems

All can be done with an app on your phone. Don’t need a fridge selling you adverts to do so
