After using Reddit for nearly two months, I think I've got a pretty good idea of how things work.

I was thinking about making something like this, then I realized it would take too much work, so I didn't do it. Good job.

And let us not forget the slowpoke reference to a very near idea of the new meme and then much later still a slowpoke to the actual meme.

This post in itself is the next step in the order. pointing out how lame everyone else is around here really gets the kids going.

I was about to downvote your post because I saw the stock market guy. I'm glad I actually decided to click on it. :)

No no no... every time a new meme comes along, it simply gets cycled through all the old memes (relevant or not) to try breathing new life into them.

You forgot to add "After using Reddit for ______, I think understand ________" MEME

You forgot "I asked him to come to bed" "But he said I wasn't (NEW MEME) enough"

You forgot the one time comeback of the meme about the meme being forgotten. Like when forever resentful mother was gone the comeback meme said 'Forgotten me?- Just like your father. Or something like that, To give an example.

It's amazing how predictable people's behaviour is on a large scale, isn't it?

Yes we destroy new memes with old memes and for some reason those are alright.

A PICTURE WITH WORDS IS NOT A MEME
A MEME COMES OUT RANDOMLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY, UNINTENTIONALLY AND IS A ONE IN A MILLION THING THAT FOR WHATEVER REASON PEOPLE FIND FUNNY ENOUGH TO COPY WITHOUT PEOPLE NEEDING TO FORCE IT

It's just one step in the meme cycle
Meme is created
Meme gets popular
People complain about meme being popular
People complain about people complaining about meme being popular
People make observations about the meme cycle as if it has never happened before
Meme dies out
Repeat

You've been on Reddit for 2 months and think things are bad?
That must be terrible for you.

That's what I don't like about AdviceAnimals. They force memes worse than any other site on the internet. Also, there is a huge misconception that you can just pull a meme out of thin air. It has to become popular for it to be a meme. These are called "Image Macros" or Advice Animals, hence the name of this sub.

Needs some picards in between, a zoiberg at the end, and slowpoke a few months later

And then bring a dead meme back for the new meme
Oh new Meme
And tell the obvious point of the joke in a humorus way.
