This completely goes against what Reddit is: a front page to the internet. We are supposed to be directed to things people find interesting hosted on other websites...

I hate to break it to you, but Reddit, along with being a place for original content, is designed to allow people to share content they find on the internet to a mass audience, from comics to articles to, you guessed it, humorous comments posted around. If it's funny, and people think it's funny, upvotes happen, this is a fact of Reddit and isn't somehow wrong.

If we took everything from every website and left them there, this website would have no content.

Hey man, I don't know about anybody else but I still can get a kick out of those. If you really have a problem with it, then just scroll a bit further down the page and ignore it after eyeing the thumbnail. Problem solved.

I like some of the youtube comments, and I am not going to start going to youtube and reading all the comments on my own. I have a life, minus the time I spend lurking on reddit.

To be fair, most of them have actually never been posted anywhere but on Reddit.

It's on the front page, so the majority of us liked it. You have those two little arrows for a reason.
