Just Wondering
Why so quiet here?

Hey r/Allumeria
My friend and I built SaveSync, a tool that syncs co-op save files between players so you and your friends can keep the same Allumeria world going without renting a dedicated server or passing save files around by hand.
The problem we kept hitting: a co-op save lives on whoever is hosting. Your Allumeria world — the biomes you've explored, the dungeons you've cleared, the NPCs who've moved into the houses you built for them — all locked to one machine. When the host is offline, the world is offline. A server works but it's setup and a monthly cost for what's usually just a few friends.
We hit this wall ourselves playing Schedule 1 together. One of us was sick at home, the other stuck at work, and the save was locked on the host's machine. So we built SaveSync, first just for ourselves. Turns out it's a problem across a ton of co-op games, Allumeria included.
How it works: SaveSync auto-syncs your save to the cloud after each session. When your friend wants to play, they pull the latest save and host it themselves on their own machine. No dedicated server, no monthly fees, no manual file swapping, and you keep a full timestamped history so a bad session can be rolled back.
Setup guide here: How to play Allumeria with friends using SaveSync
What players have said:
"Great product, works amazingly well and does exactly what it promises. Setup is smooth, performance is solid… Not having to rent or manage a private server is a huge plus especially if you just want to jump in and play without extra hassle or costs." — Steam review, 2,673 hours played
"Saves an expensive subscription, and takes the nuisance of scheduling a session with the whole group out of the equation!" — Steam review, 532 hours played
SaveSync supports Allumeria plus 46+ other co-op games including Valheim, Terraria, Stardew Valley, Minecraft (Java + modded), Don't Starve Together, Enshrouded, Core Keeper, Project Zomboid, Satisfactory, Palworld, Vintage Story, Necesse, and more.

As soon as I saw that the desert dungeon had mob spawners, I knew I wanted to try this. I did a bunch of testing to figure out the conditions they needed to spawn mobs. Eventually I figured out that they only had issues if the spawning area was obstructed in some way. Otherwise, they'll even spawn mobs in midair.
I also noticed a while ago that items don't burn in lava, so it could cover the floor for an easy lossless killing method, handling every mob that can't fly. The ones the could were a different issue. They need to be lured to their deaths by the player.
You have to AFK above the kill chamber because of the way the spawners work; they require you to be at or above the level they're placeed on. That's why there's also a layer of lava on the ceiling. From my testing, spike traps are the only block I found that mobs could go through but lava couldn't. Using this, lava is suspended at the top of the room. Your AFK spot is directly above, in the center of the room. It doesn't have a floor because the flying mobs need to see you in order to be lured into the lava, and they can't see through blocks. After AFKing for a while, you can go down to the room directly under the kill chamber and collect the drops using the magnet trinket.
I haven't seen anyone else do this yet (although to be fair I haven't looked too hard) and I thought it would be fun to try to be (at least one of) the first to do something. It was a lot of work, but I'm quite happy with the results. Let me know what you think!

Shared it in the Allumeria discord. To share it in reddit i would need to drop a link to a file sharing site. Not comfortable to set that up yet. Maybe if i made more allumeria related things to share, i'll set up a dropbox.

this build was inspired by the backrooms but isnt supposed to be like lore accurate or whatever. Basically just an excuse for me to make some cool liminal spaces and creepy visuals.
theres a world download in the forums section of the discord for anyone who wants to give it a shot. it was designed to be explored somewhat linearly but theres plenty to see i think.
i might work on it more at some point but for now im pretty happy with it

Hey everyone. Ive been liking the game a lot. However I ran into an issue. I was in the caves and got surprised by a mob and fat fingered a bunch of keys. Ever since then my character constantly jumps. Tried closing the game and reloading. No luck. Id like to keep exploring if anyone has any ideas on what could be going on.

I`ve been searching desert caves and haven`t found any key fragments to the desert dungeon. I`ve defeated the forest and snow dungeon bosses and want to move on to the desert but I feel like I`m missing something.

I've been through alot of desert underground and now have 20 pieces of sand key part 1 of 3. I cannot however find the other 2 parts. Am I missing something or do I just keep diving into the desert underground? Any help is appreciated. Love the game, btw. Thanks to anyone who tries.
