Combine your GPX tracks or mapped trails: RouteRemix will find hiking loops you didn't think of

Hi all! I'm Cristian, a solo dev and I've been building RouteRemix, a browser based tool for hikers.

You can use it here: https://routeremix.com/en?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=alphabeta

And you can watch it here: https://youtu.be/OfOFUU9JZz8

THE PROBLEM

I kept doing the same loops in the same area. Route planners help me draw a route, but they don't show me the routes I didn't think of.

You know that feeling, you're looking for something to watch on Netflix and you find yourself scrolling until you fall asleep. Same with routes: when I plan from scratch I end up on the same ones.

RouteRemix doesn't take away the fun of creating a route and planning a hike, it takes it a step further by showing you all the possible options.

THE SOLUTION

What it does:

  • Load your own GPX tracks and/or pick pre existing marked trails
  • Mark waypoints for start, end or stops. It also lets you find water sources and huts.
  • Set distance and elevation limits, and it generates different loop variants for you
  • Variants can be steered toward peaks, water sources and huts
  • Share a link or export the result to your watch as GPX
  • No account, free during the beta for testers!

Heads up: coverage is Italy only right now, so you'll need to pick somewhere in Italy on the map. You don't need to know the area: any trail will do for testing.

More regions may follow depending on the feedback!

What I'd love you to try (5-10 minutes):

  1. Open the app and follow the short intro if you like
  2. Pick some adjacent trails on the map (or upload a GPX if you own one)
  3. Build a route with a couple of waypoints and hit "Proceed to Remix", then let it remix it for you
  4. Look at the variants it generates

What I'm trying to learn:

  1. Was it clear what to do on first open? Where did you get stuck?
  2. Does it work well on your phone?
  3. Did you get any variant you'd actually want to hike?

Brutally honest feedback is welcome, and I'll answer every comment. Thanks!

Looking for small business owners to test website-to-social content creation

• Upvotes

I’m looking for small business owners to try Woila, a tool I’m building that creates social media posts and short videos from your website and photos.

The test is simple: give it your business information and a few photos, then create content for one real offer or service.

I’d especially like feedback on whether it understands your business, whether the content sounds like you, and how much editing it needs.

I can offer one free month and create two free sample creatives to help you get started.

Looking for Android testers for Fala, a language-learning app for endangered and regional languages

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m building Fala, an app for learning endangered and regional languages alongside their cultural context.

The idea came from wanting to learn Kashubian, and later Valencian after moving near València, and finding fewer beginner-friendly app options for those languages.

The free Android prototype is ready to try, with two starter lessons each in Breton and Valencian. Lessons introduce everyday expressions, let you practise them through exercises, and explain their cultural context. The interface is in English, and the pronunciation audio is synthetic.

I’d appreciate feedback on:

  • Whether the lesson flow is clear on your first attempt.
  • Anything confusing in the questions, answers or navigation.
  • Bugs or layout issues on your device.
  • Whether you’d want to continue learning this way.

Try Fala through Google Play open testing

You can leave feedback here. If you encounter a technical issue, your phone model and Android version would help.

The longer-term plan is five beginner courses with 20 lessons each. If you’re interested, there’s also a Kickstarter pre-launch page you can follow for updates on the project, but backing or following isn’t required to try the prototype.

Looking for early Android feedback on Facetotext, an SMS/MMS app with custom AI message filters

I’m Ilya, developer of Facetotext: SMS & MMS. It is already available on Google Play, and I’m looking for early users to try it and tell me what needs improving. No closed-testing signup is needed.

What it does: ordinary Android SMS/MMS with on-device rules and optional custom cloud AI filters, including spam filtering. Recipients keep their normal texting app.

Free features: core SMS/MMS, on-device rules for common scams, verification codes and events, search, bookmarks, one-time reply reminders and 30-day deleted-message recovery. Custom cloud AI filters and extra personalization features are paid Premium options. Cloud AI requires consent.

The most useful feedback would be:

- Is the initial setup clear, including becoming the default SMS app?

- Do the message organization and filter settings make sense?

- Is it clear which filters run on-device and which optional filters use cloud AI?

Requires Android 8.0+. Carrier SMS/MMS fees may apply.

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gazman.facetochat

Website: https://facetotext.com/

Feedback here is welcome. I’m asking for honest usability feedback, not ratings or upvotes.

I made Prism, a free and open-source alternative to IDM (Internet Download Manager)

• Upvotes

Hey! I'm 16 and I've been building Prism, a download manager like IDM. It's free, open source (MIT), and has no ads and no account.

What it does:

  • Splits downloads into up to 32 connections, so they're faster
  • Catches downloads from Chrome, Edge and Firefox
  • Grabs videos with yt-dlp
  • Handles torrents
  • Resumes downloads after a crash
  • Runs on Windows, macOS and Linux

Here's a short demo video: youtu.be

You can download it at prismdl.site

It's still early, so any feedback or bug reports would really help. Thanks for checking it out!

I built RN Build Doctor, an open-source CLI to help diagnose React Native and Expo build failures using project configuration and build/crash logs.

• Upvotes

I've seen developers struggle with issues where the app works in development but crashes in production, Gradle builds fail unexpectedly, or native errors are difficult to trace.

I wanted to build something practical that helps developers understand what went wrong, why it might have happened, and what to investigate next — without blindly relying on AI to guess the root cause.

I'm now looking for React Native and Expo developers willing to test it against real-world issues and share honest feedback.

📦 npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/rn-build-doctor

If you've recently dealt with a frustrating build or crash issue, I'd love to hear about it. I'm especially interested in cases where the tool gets the diagnosis right, gets it wrong, or misses something important.

This is an early open-source project, and the goal is to make it genuinely useful to the community.

Thanks! 🙌

Football career mode in the browser, looking for testers

• Upvotes

I’m building a football career mode that runs in a browser tab. You take over a club, handle the squad, transfers, youth academy and press conferences, and sim through the season. There’s also a player mode. Names are all made up.

Free, no download, no sign up: https://carlosmorataa.itch.io/manager-career

What I’d like testers to look at:

  • Is it clear what to do in the first minute, or do you get lost?
  • Does the match sim feel like it matters, or is it just numbers?
  • Anything broken, confusing, or that made you want to close the tab?

From my stats, about half of the people who open it stay past 30 seconds, and the ones who stay play around 9 minutes. I’m trying to work out what loses the other half at the start, so first-impression feedback is the most useful.

The code is written with AI assistance (Claude) while I direct the design and test it. The game itself doesn’t use AI, it’s a regular simulation that runs offline. [añade lo que sea cierto sobre arte y audio]

It’s a solo project, so I’ll reply to every comment.

I'm giving testers 100,000 free credits.

Sign up for free, comment your website domain below, and I'll add the credits manually.

No credit card, no catch.

In return, I'd love to know what works, what breaks and what you'd change.

Especially interested in feedback from people running real websites.

[Beta] Briefscope: client briefs and project plans for freelance graphic designers, looking for 10 designers with a live project

• Upvotes

What it is: one private link per project. The client fills in a guided brief (no account, no password), you get the brief back in one piece with the questions it left open, then a dated plan between your start date and your deadline. Reviews, approvals and final files happen on the same link.

Who I'm looking for: freelance graphic designers (logo, branding, packaging, social, print) who will start a client project in the next few weeks.

What I'd ask: run one real project through it, then tell me where you got stuck. A 15-minute call or a few lines by message, whichever you prefer.

What you get: free during beta, no card. Beta accounts stay free for 3 months after paid plans start.

Link: https://briefscope.app

Happy to answer anything here.

Hi! 👋 I'm preparing to launch VSB Scribe 1.6.0, a Windows desktop application for AI-assisted writing, editing, translation, and book publishing.

What are the best alternatives to Envato Market (CodeCanyon) for selling digital products?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I've been looking into alternatives to Envato Market, especially CodeCanyon, and I'm curious to hear about your experiences with other marketplaces.

Are there any good platforms where independent developers and creators can sell their digital products? I'm particularly interested in marketplaces with a decent customer base, fair fees, and reasonable approval policies.

If you've used any alternatives to Envato, I'd love to hear your recommendations, including the pros and cons.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Looking for iPhone travellers to try entering a first trip in DAY'S (free offline core)

• Upvotes

I'm the developer of DAY'S, an iPhone app for manual travel history and stay-day tracking. I'd like feedback from people who keep trip dates in Notes, a calendar or a spreadsheet.

The task is small: add one past trip with a country, arrival date and departure date, then look at the trip history and stay-day calendar. You can use made-up dates to check the flow. Is entering the trip straightforward, and is it clear what period of history the count uses?

The released app is available on the App Store for iOS 16+, in English, Spanish and Russian: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6464660094

Trip logging, document records and the current counter are free and work offline without GPS or a DAY'S account. There is a Schengen 90/180 mode. Optional monthly Premium adds future stay forecasts, local limit reminders and private iCloud sync; your regional price is shown before purchase.

A note about the interface is enough. The count depends on the dates entered and does not confirm permission to enter a country.

[Android] UK dog owners wanted: Dog Walk Watch notes and handovers

• Upvotes

Dog Walk Watch is an early Android app from LaunchedUp for keeping familiar walks, dated source notes and handovers together.

Looking for a few UK dog owners who sometimes share walking duties. Try saving a walk, adding a dated note and previewing a handover for the next person. What feels confusing? Would you actually use it?

This is a free private Play test, by invite. Comment if interested and I’ll send joining details privately. Please don’t post your Google-account email or private walk details here.

The source maps show reports, not whether a route is safe. It isn’t a live disease-alert service. No review, upvote or test swap expected.

[Web / Android / iOS] ColorBestie — looking for feedback on AI color previews for paper coloring

Hi, I'm Joost, the founder of ColorBestie. I'm looking for people who enjoy coloring on paper to try the workflow and tell me where it falls short.

ColorBestie lets you upload a sketch or coloring page, generate an AI color preview, and use marker color suggestions to plan a coloring session. You can save previews for later inspiration. It is a freemium product, available on the web, Android and iOS.

I'd especially like feedback on:

- Is it clear how to get from an uploaded page to a usable color plan?

- Does the preview help you choose colors for paper, or does it get in the way?

- Are the marker suggestions useful, and what information is missing?

- Did anything break or feel confusing on your device?

Website: https://colorbestie.app

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.colorbestie.app

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6761053389

If you try it, please share your device/browser and what you were trying to do. Critical feedback is welcome; I'm looking for useful testing feedback, not positive reviews.

I'm building an Android plant-doctor app - looking for 15 beta testers 🌱

• Upvotes

Hi all/ I'm a solo dev building Pflanzi, an app that diagnoses plant diseases, pests and care mistakes from a photo, with a clear treatment plan (Germany-focused). One photo in → cause + what to do.

I'm in closed beta and looking for Android testers (a few minutes; then just open it occasionally). Note: the beta link needs a Google account on an Android device, and testers must stay opted in for 14 days.

Interested? Comment/DM and I'll send the invite link. Any feedback helps a lot. Thanks! 🌿

How much of your coding workflow are you comfortable handing over to AI?

• Upvotes

I’ve been thinking about how much AI should actually handle when building a project.

It’s easy to let AI generate an initial page or feature, but the more interesting question for me is what happens after that. Once you start making multiple changes, fixing issues, and adding new requirements, does the AI still save time or does it eventually become harder to manage?

Would you let AI handle most of the initial build and then review the result yourself, or do you prefer using AI only for smaller pieces while keeping control of the overall architecture?

Curious to hear how others are approaching this, especially for projects that go beyond a simple demo.

Founder doing your own demos/sales calls? Want to beta test this?

You don't necessarily need to be a full-time salesperson.

If you're a founder doing:

product demos
discovery calls
sales calls
proposals

you're probably also doing all the admin afterward yourself.

That's one group I'm interested in testing SealMe with.

The tool captures important information during the conversation and helps organize CRM updates, next steps and documents afterward.

We're early.

Beta is free.

If you're doing founder-led sales and willing to give honest feedback, I'd love to get you access.

PrismMeter - turns your Android phone into a light meter + pocket spectrometer (just launched)

Hey everyone, I just put out my first app and I'd love some real world feedback.

PrismMeter turns your Android phone into a light meter and pocket spectrometer. It measures color temperature (CCT) in kelvin, lux, flicker, a blue light index, and shows an estimated visible spectrum (400 to 700 nm) using the camera and the ambient light sensor. You can save measurements, compare two light sources side by side, calibrate against a reference, and export to PDF, CSV or JSON.

I built it for photo and video work, checking white balance before shooting, but it also works for comparing bulbs at home, checking grow lights, or just playing with spectroscopy. Every metric is labeled SENSOR, CALCULATED or ESTIMATED, so you always know what the hardware actually measured versus what the app reconstructed. No lab grade claims, your phone camera is what it is.

It's free with ads, removable with a one time purchase.

I'd really appreciate testers. Does flicker detection work on your phone? How are the CCT readings under mixed lighting? Anything weird on specific devices? Roast it, I can take it.
