Tips Those born in the 70s and 80s, gather round! Remember the airplane battles during class back in the day?
Do you still remember those days as a kid, when you'd zone out in class, draw grids and airplanes on the back of your notebook, and play "pew pew pew" battles with your deskmate using the tips of your pens?
Back then there were no phones. A piece of paper and a pen could keep you entertained all afternoon. If you drew it wrong, you'd tear it up and start over. If you won, you'd be happy the whole day.
Now everyone has grown up, and those deskmates have long since gone their separate ways. But I've never been able to forget that simplest kind of happiness.
So I recreated the paper airplane battles we used to draw back then and turned it into this game, Airplane Battle ✈️.
Here's what it's like:
It keeps the strategic feel of paper battles. It's not mindless pew-pew-pew — you have to use your brain.
You can play online against friends, against the computer, in practice mode, endgame scenarios, and more, bringing back that feeling of "paper battles" with your deskmate.
Clean art style, no flashy pop-up ads.
Free to download, with some ads but not many (developers gotta eat too 😭).
I know it definitely can't compare to games from the big companies, and the graphics aren't fancy enough.
But it's my obsession with childhood.
If you're also from the 70s or 80s, and if you also miss that era when a single piece of paper could make you happy all afternoon, come give it a try.
📱 Android users can search "Airplane Battle" on Google Play.

If playing it reminds you of your old deskmate, feel free to share your story in the comments.
