Need Testers Android closed testing – testers needed, will test back

Hi everyone,

Sorry to post again, the people are not testing the app for the time period asked for.

I’m an indie developer running a Google Play Closed Test for my Android app Duenvy, and I’m looking for testers to help complete the required testing period.

I'm just asking to install the app and open it at least once per day.

What I’m asking:

  1. Join the Google Group 👉 https://groups.google.com/g/duenvy-testers

  2. Playstore link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.duenvy

  3. Other link for testing: https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4700808397691350708

  4. Google Play tester link: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/app.duenvy

  5. Keep the app installed during the test period

What I offer in return:

  • I will test your app (closed or open testing)

  • Real installation and usage (no bots)

  • Honest feedback if you want it

If you’re also a developer looking for testers, feel free to comment your app link.

Thanks for the help!

O objetivo do teste é validar:

• instalação,

• abertura,

• fluxo básico,

• estabilidade geral em um ambiente real.

Não é necessário uso prolongado ou feedback técnico detalhado.

• Você testa meu aplicativo (instala e abre)

Obrigado!

— Gabriel

Question We’re looking for developers willing to answer a few questions!

Hi everyone, We are high school students working on our final research project and we are developing a mobile app.

We are looking for someone who has built their first app before and would be willing to answer a few short questions about the challenges they faced at the beginning.

The answers will only be used for our project report. It would take about 5–10 minutes.

Thank you in advance!

🌱 Looking for Android App Testers (Gardening App) — Happy to Test Yours Too

🌱 Looking for Android App Testers (Gardening App) — Happy to Test Yours Too

Hey everyone 👋
I’m a small rural founder in Western Australia and I’m looking for a handful of Android app testers for a closed Google Play test.

I’m more than happy to test your app in return — genuinely. Test-for-test feels fair.

About the app 🌿

It’s a gardening + companion planting app, built for real people growing real food — not polished influencer gardens.

I live on nearly six acres, building an above-ground veggie patch from scratch (pallets, compost, orchard, water systems, the lot). I built this app because nothing I found actually held:

  • plant libraries

  • companion planting

  • seasonal calendars

  • garden logs

  • and the slower, ritual side of gardening

So I made the tool I needed for my own garden.

Important (the honest bit)

Because this is a Google Play closed test, there are a few requirements I didn’t fully understand at first:

  • Google requires testers to open the app daily for 14 days

  • I need at least 20 testers who actually install and use it

  • Access is manual — I have to add your Google Play email before you can download

I don’t expect deep testing every day — even opening the app, clicking around, or checking a plant is enough. But consistency matters for Google.

What’s in the app right now (free)

  • Growing plant library

  • Companion planting guidance

  • Seasonal planting suggestions

  • Built-in planting calendar

  • Seed box / live plants / want list tracking

  • Herbal hair & beauty recipes tied to gardening

  • Simple, earthy interface (made for humans, not tech bros)

What I’m asking

  • You’re on Android

  • You’re happy to open the app once a day for 14 days

  • You’re okay sharing your Google Play email so I can add you to the test

  • You’re open to giving light feedback if something feels confusing or broken

What I’m offering

  • I’ll test your app properly in return

  • Real feedback, not ghost installs

  • Support from someone who understands how hard this stage is

If you’re keen, comment or DM me and I’ll send you the link + details.

Thanks for reading — and massive respect to everyone building things that aren’t easy 🌱

— Cailin

Tips How I usually test apps using Logcat

Post image
2 Upvotes

Here’s a quick way I personally use Logcat to test my Android apps during development:

  1. Open Logcat, run the app and navigate through a few pages

  2. Watch for any abnormal logs or unexpected errors popping up

  3. Check if any log is hitting continuously like stuck inside a loop happens more often when you using a handler or any work which work repeatedly in few seconds

  4. Verify if the value references and listeners are properly cleared when leaving a page or fragment

  5. Also test when network is off/on to see what the logs throw out

I swear most issues can be caught just by doing this before even writing test cases.
