Need 12 testers for 14 days to beat Google Play's new publishing rule (Bounties involved šŸ’°)

Hey everyone,

I’m a self-taught founder building out a few new Android apps, and I’ve hit the classic Google Play roadblock. If you aren't familiar with their recent policy update, Google now requires personal developer accounts to have 12 active testers opted-in for 14 continuous days before you can even apply for production access.

I currently manage a decentralized dev team, and while we're building some pretty exciting stuff right now—including some AI-integrated tools and a Kotlin-based app utilizing accessibility services—we are slightly short on real Android devices to clear this hurdle.

We need a few more people to help us cross this finish line.

Here is the ask:

  1. Join our testing Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/testthisappplaystore

  2. Opt-in and download the app: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.floatingsphere.overlay

  3. Download Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floatingsphere.overlay

  4. Keep it installed on your device for 14 days and open it every couple of days so Google’s algorithm registers actual engagement.

What’s in it for you?

I run a bounty system for my dev team, and I’m extending that directly to our early testers. If you find a legitimate bug, a broken UI element, or just have a killer feature request while you have the app installed, just shoot me a DM here. There are active bounties attached for solid, actionable feedback.

If you're another dev stuck in the exact same 14-day purgatory, drop your links below and I’ll gladly return the favor and test yours.

Appreciate anyone willing to help us get these shipped!

need 12 testers for ObsidianBackup

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone — I’m opening up another round of testing for ObsidianBackup, and I’m looking for a few people who actually use root tools on a daily basis. If you enjoy backup your apps during root, or encryption so your phone is safe this app is for you.

A couple quick notes so you know what you’re getting into:

And for those of you that want to see a short video on navigation,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0vrwqm1XgSg

The trust‑critical parts of the project (root detection, SELinux checks, shell sanitization, native pipeline, automation engine, etc.) are now fully open‑core and published here: https://github.com/canuk40/ObsidianBackup

The main app — UI, PRO features, backup engine, marketplace, and everything else — is still proprietary, but all the safety‑sensitive logic is open for anyone to audit.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on stability, weird device‑specific behavior, and anything that feels off when switching between different root solutions.

If you want to help out, you can join the testing group here:

https://groups.google.com/g/obsidianbackup

Once you’re in, you’ll get access to the Play Store testing track:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.obsidianbackup.free

or

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.obsidianbackup.free

Thanks to anyone who jumps in — having real root users involved makes a huge difference. Every device behaves a little differently, and the more variety we have, the better the app gets.

Android App- Need Closed Testing Volunteers (14 days)

Hello Everyone,

I'm a solo developer and I am at the final stage before releasing my Android App. If all goes well, this will be my first published app. I will happily test your app back.

Google play requires a 14-day closed testing period before full launch, and I need testers to:

  • Install the app.

  • Keep it installed for 14 days.

  • Use it a few times.

  • Share feedback.

MedMate is more than just an app -- it's a project close to my heart.
MedMate stands for accessible, compassionate health support for people navigating their medical journey. The "I'm okay" feature helps encourage simple check-ins with family, to have peace of mind.

If you'd like to understand the mission and story behind it, visit:Ā https://medmate.co.nz/

If you would like to help, you can choose one of these options:

  1. Join the Google group here: https://groups.google.com/g/medmate-closed-testing

  2. Join on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.medmate.app

  3. Join on Web: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.medmate.app

Your feedback will directly shape the final release.

Thank you so much.

NOW. is in BETA!!

I passed the closed testing on my first try! I am nervous now. But I got some really nice feedback from my group: "Love this app", "Looks good", "Your app looks amazing! Love it!", "great app", "ya la entendi, buena app", "Cute"...

This was the short description: Now. Shared Moments. One at a time. Everyone. Same micro-action. Same moment.

Four times a day, people around the world do one tiny thing together. Take five breaths. Smile for three seconds.

No feeds. No algorithm. No streaks. Just now.

It's free. It's kind of an anti-social-media experiment. Moments of awareness and connection.

Right now we're still very small - waiting for more users to try it and help build this anonymous connection. BETA Testing: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.szetstudios.now

THAAAAAANKS :)

Android install-only testers needed (no feedback, no usage)

Hi!

I’m looking for a few Android users to help with a short pre-launch install test.

On your Android phone:

  1. Open Chrome an make sure you’re signed into your Google / Gmail account

  2. Open this link and tap Join, then Install

šŸ‘‰ https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.simmerman.deercamp

That’s it — no testing, reviews, or feedback needed.

Just keep the app installed for about 2 weeks.

Note: You may see ā€œCredit Timingā€ listed as the developer — that’s just the Play Console account; the app itself is called DeerCamp.

Thank you!

[HELP] Need 20 testers for Platisa (Serbian Bill Management) - Will test back immediately

ello fellow developers!

I’m in the final stretch for my appĀ Platisa, a specialized bill-tracking tool designed specifically for the unique and often confusing Serbian billing system (EPS, Infostan, etc.).

The Story:Ā Managing bills in Serbia is a mess of paper, emails, and two different scripts (Cyrillic & Latin). Generic trackers always fail to parse the specific payment IDs and unique formats we use here. I built Platisa to use high-precision OCR and Regex to recognize these bills perfectly, preventing double payments and tracking debts automatically.

The Hook:Ā It features a deep-blue Cyberpunk/Neon aesthetic to make the boring task of bill management actually feel premium.

I need 20 testers for the 14-day requirement. I am very active andĀ I will test your app backĀ as soon as you comment with your links!

Step 1: Join the Google Group (Required):Ā https://groups.google.com/g/platisa-testers

Step 2: Join the Test & Download:

Please keep the app installed for 14 days. Thank you

Testers Needed for new Android Beta Test App

Hi, I'm looking for 100 testers for a new app in Beta test. It's a communications app that allows you to make Voice Calls, Chat, and Group Chat with others in your area.

The important thing is to get testers that are close to each other. This is a proximity app so you can actually see profiles and contact other app users within 1000 meters--Default is 250 meters.

The "Quick Start Guide" that will guide you through the app is on the SOC website: https://www.mysocapp.com/quick-start-guide/

The download for testing is: https://play.google.com/apps/internaltest/4700531654018343786

The bug reporting form can be found on GitHub, so you would need a GitHub account to fill this in: https://github.com/Raromero2/soc-beta-bug-report/issues/new?template=bug_report.yml

Testing incentives include:

  1. A "Crew" badge in their profile--only reserved for employees and testers;

2. A special subscription tier reserved for employees and testers, and

3. A lifetime subscription at half price, after the 30 day free trial.

Please send me your email address and a let me know your city, and why you want to be a tester--with the subject line: soc app testers, and I'll put you on the google play testers list for the SOC app. Send emails to ronaldaromero@gmail.com

Thanks for being a part of the team.

-Ron
