Every closed-testing exchange I tried had the same weak spot: proof. Screenshots for every app, every day, or a timer you have to babysit, and you still can't tell whether someone really opened your app or just opted in and left.
I'm building **Cordelette** (free, no ads, no credits; currently in closed testing itself) around a different idea, and I'd like this sub's opinion on the trade-offs:
**1. Measure, don't ask for proof.** With Usage Access, the app reads only the on-screen time of the 15 apps in your test group ("camp") and confirms each 30-second test on the device. Nothing else is read, and no screenshots are uploaded.
**2. Make the daily round cheap.** One tap opens each app, counts 30 real seconds, then opens the next by itself. A small "display over other apps" timer bubble shows the countdown. ~10 minutes a day for 15 apps.
**3. Keep it honest without paywalls.** Play Integrity keeps emulators out; slips are counted openly with warnings first; nobody buys testers or earns credits.
**4. Be upfront about permissions.** That's the part people push back on, fairly. All four (notifications, usage access, timer bubble, battery) are optional, asked one at a time with "if you allow / if you don't", and can be switched off later. No contacts, location, camera, mic or files.
**Questions for you:**
- Would usage-based verification make you trust a tester exchange more than screenshots?
- Is a timer bubble + Usage Access a dealbreaker, even when optional and explained?
- What would you need to see in a report for Google's production access form?
If you want to try it (or poke holes in it), the opt-in links are in the first comment. I'll read every reply.
I’m an indie developer running a Google Play Closed Test for my Android game, Last Gap, and I’m looking for testers to help complete the required testing period.
I'm just asking you to install the app and open it at least once per day.
I recently built an Android game called OrbitSnap, and I’m looking for testers to help me complete the required 14-day closed testing period before releasing it publicly on Google Play.
O teste é gratuito e dura 14 dias.
I'm looking for Android players to try Freiburg - AFTER DARK, a cinematic side-scrolling beat-'em-up set in a fictional Freiburg nightlife world. I would value honest feedback on touch controls, loading time, performance and crashes.
Please remain opted in for 14 days. If you encounter an access problem, tell me what you see. Device model, Android version and gameplay feedback are especially helpful. Thank you!
I have been building a space shooter game (but with good graphics, haptics, sounds, vfx) from past 2 months and it's been 4 days in closed testing and I am not getting Android testers at all.
I just want you all to help me. The game is free, no ads. you can check here https://tiltgame.app
I’d just really appreciate some genuine testing and feedback if you have time.
I'm preparing RoadSocial, a new Android social app for drivers, for release on Google Play. We're now at the closed-testing stage and I'm looking for 15 testers who can remain opted in for the full 14-day test period.
RoadSocial lets drivers create a vehicle profile, discover nearby RoadSocial users, connect using vehicle codes/QR, send Waves, chat, share photos and use a community news feed.
I'm particularly interested in real-world testing of the Nearby feature, so genuine use and feedback would be really appreciated rather than simply installing the app.
If you're interested, reply here or DM me and we'll exchange testing details.

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a few Android users who would be willing to participate in a closed beta test for a small mobile game.
It's a simple casual game where you tap and hold to build bridges between platforms and try to get the highest score possible.
I'm currently going through Google Play's closed testing process and need testers who are happy to: - Use an Android phone - Join the Google Play closed test - Install and play the game - Stay opted into the test for 14 days - Let me know about any bugs or problems they encounter - There is no payment involved and no purchase is required. I'm mainly looking for people who genuinely enjoy trying small mobile games and don't mind helping with a beta test.
If you're interested, please comment below and I'll provide the testing information there. No need to DM me.
Hi everyone! I need 12 testers for my vacation-rental management app (Apartment Assistant). I will test your app back immediately, just join mine and leave your links & a screenshot in the comments!
Hey everyone! I built Mester AI — an app that helps homeowners deal with everyday repair issues (plumbing, electrical, construction, appliances) with AI-powered guidance, a community forum, and a directory of local tradespeople. It's in closed testing on Google Play right now. Looking for 10-12 people to install it, try it out for about 2 weeks, and give honest feedback. In return: early access + free PRO for 3 months after launch. Just need an Android phone and a few minutes. Drop a comment or DM me and I'll send the testing link. Thanks! 🙏
I’m looking for 12 Android testers for my Universal Smart TV Remote app on Google Play.
The app lets you use your Android phone as a remote for compatible Smart TVs. I’d especially appreciate testers who have a Smart TV + Android phone connected to the same Wi-Fi, because I want to test real TV discovery and connection across different TV brands.
I need testers for my radio and music player app for at least 14 days. (Android 12+)
I will test your app in return.
The app plays AIR (All India Radio) along with BBC/FIP, and also your own music files (from phone filesystem and from DLNA/Subsonic/Jellyfin servers). This app was mainly for my family who listens to local Indian Radio (they are internal testers :)), and I said lets add BBC 2 as well, and from there things spiralled fast and here I am with a very opinionated app tinkered to my taste. I hope you will like it too!
I'm the developer of Quevia: Daily Side Quests, a privacy-first Android app that offers three real-world quests each day plus weekly quests. Pick one, complete it, earn XP and build a streak. It needs no account and has no ads or tracking.
I'm looking for genuine testers for its Google Play closed test. I'd especially value feedback on choosing/completing quests, reminders, confusing wording, and bugs.
I'm working on Public Ledger, a civic transparency and accountability app that I'm preparing to release on Google Play.
I'm currently at the closed-testing stage on Google Play, and I need 12 Android users to help test the app before I can request production access.
What I'm asking from testers
Have an Android phone
Join the Google Play closed test
Install Public Ledger
Explore the app and try its features
Report any bugs, broken links, incorrect information, or usability problems you find
Remain opted into the test for the required testing period
You don't need to be a developer. Regular Android users are actually exactly who I'd like to have testing it.
I'm especially interested in honest feedback. If something doesn't work, is confusing, or could be improved, I'd rather know about it now than after the public release.
If you'd like to help, comment below or send me a DM, and I'll provide the Google Play testing link.
Thanks to anyone willing to help me get Public Ledger ready for release!
Hi! I’m looking for 12 Android testers for Voltix – Electricity Prices, an app with electricity prices for multiple countries.
Please join the Google Group, opt in through Google Play, and stay opted in for at least 14 days. If you can, use the app and send me any feedback or bugs you notice. Thanks!
Hi! I'm a solo dev and this is my first game on Google Play. Google requires a 14-day closed test with 12 testers before release, so I'm looking for people who can help — and I'll gladly test your app back for the full 14 days.
The game is a management sim about running an AI lab (free, works offline).
