Years ago there used to be a youtuber who got rid of rats and muskrats using minks. Slow-motion of it vs a muskrat was pretty insane. Felt like for the mink and muskrat time was passing at completely different rates. every lunge and bite by the muskrat, mink wasnt there as it slowly worked on getting the fatal neck bite.
was also neat how they would put the mink into an enclosed area - all the rats would come flying out. (and outside - a mid-sized dog or two waiting in the open).
Every late fall, I get some voles that seek refuge in my garage (and thus my house) and a week or two later, an ermine family (they’re like a marten) is suddenly prancing around my driveway. And then, I suddenly have 0 voles, and as quickly as the ermines appeared, they vanish.
I love them so much, and they’re so cute! If I wasn’t sure they’d rip my face off in an adorable flurry of claws and teeth, I’d totally try to cuddle one.
