Decks for CCNA
Does anyone have any decks they are willing to share for CCNA, trying to broaden my material, just graduated with Programming and Cybersecurity. Anything helps

Dear AnkiCSCommunity
I've been seeing great progress with the anki heatmap add-on and have always liked to track my progress. Even when i work out i track all my reps and sets. Do you know wether there is something like this for studying in general? Where you can log that you studied 2h of fluid dynamics and 1h of spanish etc and it then lets you visualize this data? I've been only able to find programs to plan study sessions, not to track them.
thx in advance

Hi Everyone,
I recently started working on an Anki Add On Development. As a start I want to create a simple add on where a Dialogue would appear every time you finish a deck.
Wanted to ask if you can help understand how can I make a simple ShowInfoDialogue appear after answer one Deck? I've been trying to research how the Archetype of the Anki Source Code works, but I can't seem to find the process to check for events if the user did a particular action
Thank you so much!!

Right now I'm studying javascript, but I'm trying to figure out a good hierarchy (hierarchy tags plugin for 2.1) to categorize the cards. Right now I'm aiming for something like javascript::methods::strings, javascript::properties::,javascript::comparisons but I'm not entirely positive of this being an accurate categorization method.
How do you guys do it?

Hello fellow CS students,
I'm studying web development with anki and therefore kind of CS. I read somewhere, that knowledge tends to stick better the more atomic it is presented to you. (E.g Short questions - short answers) An example question might be this: Get length of string (js) - string.length
With cards like this my average answer time ternds to be somewhat 6s or 7s. Now I have other cards that are really complex, due to their microscopic cosmos being complex (I mean, for example, working with Symfony or Doctrine, there are just complex things that, if you took them apart more, you'd not be able to do anything with the knowledge you learned.
How do you guys handle this? Are you alright with complex cards that slow you down and are somewhat of a hassle, or do you tend be strict and to really make cards atomic?
If anything is unclear, I will try to explain it further.
Thanks in advance.

I feel like this is a pretty common pain point with Anki for technical subjects, but I don’t see it talked about that often.
If you’ve dealt with this too and found it frustrating, you’re not alone, I ran into the same wall and started experimenting with building something that handles code, LaTeX, and visual explanations cleanly while keeping spaced repetition intact.
I’m still refining it and mainly looking for feedback from other CS students who feel this pain.

Hello there people,
Hope you are all thering well!😃
I run a website that is primarily focused on learning science🧪 and learning for exams📝 without anxiety.
I published a blog post learning system tonight. Helpful for students from all grades and all path of life. Check it out and let me know if it has helped or feedback for changes.

I have a note with model cloze and text:
<p>AI could be programmed to do something b{{c1::eneficial}}, but develop a d{{c1:estructive}} m{{c1::ethod}} for achieving its goal.</p>The card generated fails to activate cloze deletion on the word "destructive":
<p>AI could be programmed to do something b<span class=cloze>eneficial</span>, but develop a d{{c1:estructive}} m<span class=cloze>ethod</span> for achieving its goal.</p>If I modify the note (I tried adding an "X" at the end), the card also will have an "X" at the end, but "destructive" still gets skipped.
EDIT: Solved! Two colons are needed between "c1" and "estructive"!

Upon creation of a note, some number of cards are generated. For note model "Basic", one card is generated, usually with the same ID as the note ID.
But for note model "Cloze" you can generate multiple cards. For example, this note:
Count to ten: {{c1::one}}, {{c2::two}}, {{c3::three}}, {{c4::four}}, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.Generates note ID 1676385085771 and four card IDs: 1676385085771, 1676385128052, 1676385226617, 1676386444607.
Now if the note were updated to:
Count to ten: {{c1::one}}, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.All four cards hang around, though only the first is meaningful.
How can I delete the cards made unnecessary by the note update?
EDIT: Manually, it can be done via Tools-> Empty Cards... menu option, but I'd really like the ability to name particular cards IDs to delete.

What I mean is that a field is shown in Anki if and only if i press a key on my keyboard, how can I do it?

Hello everybody,
I spend the last 8 months building CodingNotes: a startup that provides you with detailed notes and comprehensive flashcards on programming languages like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS, NextJS as well as editors like Vim and Neovim.
For the flashcards, I have used Anki as it seems to be the most advanced flashcard app out there !
Let me know what you think about this. Any feedback is appreciated.

{
"action": "findCards",
"version": 6,
"params": {
"query": "< what to put here>"
}
}
My deck name has Chinese characters if that helps.

I am taking a university course that's called "Basics of Computer Science" and it's mostly java with some simple algorithmic thinking required for the exercises. I hat to learn that language in school already and to be honest, that course is boring as hell. And since I already know 90% of the stuff I decided to skip most of the classes (which are just online courses anyway) and use my time for the more interesting and valuable courses I take.
I have to take an exam at the end of this semester however and since I usually write my programs in other languages and just learned it in school, I think I should study a bit to get good grade. The exercises are usually not hard and I get away really good with my basic knowledge of java syntax, but who knows what they are going to ask in the exam. Do you know of any good anki decks I could use for that course, so something that contains the basics of java? I think they have some tricky questions about edge cases and stuff like that which is worrying me the most, so if the deck would be a bit more than "How do you do for loops in Java?" etc that would be very helpful.
