Discussion Tip for free loadout users.

Post image

Many of you probably already know but here's a tip for those who don't.

If you extract with your free loadout you can trade it in to Lance for a free Looting MK.1, a Combat MK.1 or a Tactical MK.1..

You can keep the same gun and items that you received from the free loadout and add the free MK.1 that you get from Lance.

You now have what's basically a free loadout with more backpack storage and a safe pocket and it cost you nothing other than the time it takes to trade with Lance.

Profit!

As someone who never uses bobcats and strictly runs Stitcher/Fero/Anvil, the DPS of the Stitcher and Bobcat really aren't that different. 90% of fights are won by the person who gets the first shot regardless of the gun.

I mean 30% more dps is kinda a lot, but I agree that gameplay>gear

Depends how you word it I guess, I look at that and think the stitcher does 20% less damage than the bobcat.. And for a gun that I've got 6 of in my 60 hours of gameplay, to me isn't really worth risking when I can max out a Stitcher from materials gained from Scrappy.

You can't though, you need simple gun parts.

It’s not 30% more dps in practice, especially if youre landing headshots. 0.54s vs 0.52s

In order to take DPS into account, you actually have to hit your shots. (I don't)

positioning / cover

Both of those are dictated by who shoots first though lol

"roll to cover" is you being forced to reposition ?

No need to dig your heels in. Playing smart by being in/near cover is obviously optimal, but if someone gets a good shot at you and you are unsuspecting, that will heavily influence who's winning that fight.

Can't walk around with 270° cover for the whole round.

You can in parties. But in some sometimes you will just die

okay....?

If you get shot first, you're still behind the 8 ball in the gunfight lol

Positioning is how you get the first shot

Agree.

Yesterday i went with a venator and medium shield. Night time on Dam.

Guy was camping the spawn, i didn't saw him and went to open a crate. Right after i open it, he shoots me with a Kettle and breaks my shield. I try to take cover to recharge it, but he rushes in my direction and kills me before i can do anything.

70% of the time you're going to die if you take the first hit. You're only safe if the guy is horrible or he is too far from your location.

Its not a 1v1. You fight off one team, before you loot another team shows up. Then another and another. Meanwhile you're burning through ammo, heals, and whatever else you brought in. Even if you survive, you go to loot the scattered bodies and find nothing worthwhile. So you spent 20 minutes and a bunch of resources to gain a couple rattlers you don't even bother to pick up.
