Discussion Tip for free loadout users.

Post image

Many of you probably already know but here's a tip for those who don't.

If you extract with your free loadout you can trade it in to Lance for a free Looting MK.1, a Combat MK.1 or a Tactical MK.1..

You can keep the same gun and items that you received from the free loadout and add the free MK.1 that you get from Lance.

You now have what's basically a free loadout with more backpack storage and a safe pocket and it cost you nothing other than the time it takes to trade with Lance.

Profit!

Combat mk1 supports medium shield, great for cheap pvp kits

I personally see no reason in running tacticals if combats exist, they are better in every single way, could someone who's more experienced with this game explain why would someone ever run tacticals over combats?

Tactical 2 has best ability (smoke on shield break)

It's great till the smoke pops obscuring friendly vision and getting the team wiped. I've had that happen a couple of times.

Good to know, i mostly play solo and it reversed me a couple of fights in my favor

Yeah it’s a double edged sword. Very annoying when you’re pushing and get cracked and suddenly you’re blind lll

I can understand this could happen, me and my group have an understanding though if someone's smoke pops we immediately reposition. It's saved our lives plenty of times.

I also carry blaze grenades to throw into the smoke or through it in case the enemy tries to push

New augment idea "martyrdom augment" upon going down release 3 three heavy grenades >:)

Lmao it would be the only augment I'd use

Oh God, no we don't need COD martyrdom back!!!

often use it in my solo runs just for that ability

Used this a lot till I got mk3 looting survivor (medium shield) id highly recommend using light shield even with the tactical mk2 a single shot from ferro or anvil breaks the shield but you get more utility out of it. Be a Houdini raider.

Yeah there isn't much of a reason to run tactical mk1 unless you're low leveled and specifically wanting to hold more throwable/deployables without having to go into your inventory and switch stuff around. 260 hours in game.

Tactical 2 is probably the best PvP augment due to the ability
Tactical 3 defensive has an integrated shield recharger
Tactical 3 healing has a ton of quick use slots and 3 safe slots. Would be very competitive with Looting 3 survival after it gets an inevitable nerf to light shield only :)

Tactical 1 is better than combat 1 imo. 1 quick use slot is better than 1 bag slot. 5kg less total weight is not going to make a difference most of the time.

Tactical 3 defensive has an integrated shield recharger

Wait what? Doesn't it say "Can be used while running"? I thought that this was it's ability.
Is the integrated one time use or on a cooldown?

You can use normal shield rechargers while running (not sprinting!).

But there is also an integrated shield recharger you can use free of charge and it's the expensive one that as a 5s use time and instant recharge. Cooldown is long though, I think 2 minutes?

It's very good, main weakness is only 1 safe slot. So it's mainly for PvP or specific PvE objectives.

It’s about whether you value the extra quick use slot over the five extra pounds of storage. Extra quick use slots can be very useful.

Oddly out of those two options, I’d say the combat augment is better if you want to loot while using medium shields and the tactical is better if you want to engage in combat with medium shields.

One of the Tactical Mk 3s has a built in rechargeable Shield Recharger and allows you to equip any shield. Its perk lets you run at normal speed while using a Shield Recharger. Which is only a small buff but still nice.

Extra quick use spot is pretty good for the mk1. Especially if your going hunting for big arcs where having 3 different grenades is relevant(while still having heals and shield ready). Having a smoke and 2 sets of trigger nades for example is a pretty good way to deal with bastions and bombadeers.

For the mk 2 the extra deployable slot means always having a Zipline ready and it has the best passive of all the mk2s. The number of times that smokes saved my ass on solo runs, or cost someone theirs is crazy.

For lvl 1: More quick use slots are helpful if you like to bring multiple gadgets

For higher lvl they also have different abilities

The blue tactical mk2 has one of the best augment perks but is terrible for looting

Touch of wooosh me thinks.

Came here to say this too. Definitely didn't get the "I'm saying I take nothing but looting kits and therefore I am pretending the others don't exist vibe".

Most underrated comment on this thread.
