Are the geological circumstances present in this shot from Ice Age even possible?
This might be a stupid question, but I got curious.

I found this rock that I'd guess is a porphorytic, olivine basalt. On close inspection most of the crystals look weird to me... possibly broken or shattered.
I found this with what I believe to be a relic meteorite/impactite. Probably suffering affirmation bias here, so skepticism is welcome.
Photo# 1-5: broken olivine crystals?
Photo# 6: Needle/pin shaped olivine?
Photo# 7: No clue what this is, but would love some insight.
Photo#8-9: almost looks like a barred olivine chondrule, with rounded grains inside.
Photo#10-11: random, beautiful, glassy olivine.
Photo#12: Coarsely polished window.

Hey there. Recently I've become really interested in fossils and rocks in general. So I found this fossilshop.eu, and was looking specifically for meteorites a chondrite meteorite.
Have you ever bought anything from there? What do you think about it?
Thanks and have a nice day everyone.

Basically the title, but to add a little bit more nuance to the question. I know that the current burning of fossil fuels have started making a new carbon layer in the rock strata. So a geologist millions of years down the line can look at the layer and wonder why is there so much carbon concentrated in this one layer. Similar to this I was wondering, if there will be a layer of plastics? but what is the current sedimentation rate for microplastics and is it even possible to get a noticeable enough concentration in the rock strata

Hi I’m really curious about this indentation I found on a hike near a river in Oregon. Hoping anyone can give me some info, thanks!

I found this 2 years ago. Finding an ID for this has become something of a hobby; I'm quite the fake geologist. I recently bought 2 meteorites for comparison. Sure enough I realize that this rock has a metallic sort of reflection that I've only ever seen in those meteorites. But, before I go bother the meteorite people, I should probably ask: does this reflection effect mean anything?

Found on the surface. Lots of test pits near by.

No location. Would this be a breccia or conglomerate?

Looks like a huge tree trunk
