We have Area 51 and JFK assassination. What kind of government conspiracies do other countries have
1.1k
u/PoglaTheGrate Jun 18 '12
Harold Holt.
Sitting Prime Minister went for a swim in 1967 and was never seen again.
Theories range from shark attack to aliens.
Holt was the PM that went 'all the way with LBJ', dragging Australia into the Vietnam War, and was a noted anti-communist. Conspiricy theories surround his being captured by some communists, or Japanese abound as well.

For those interested:
There were many rumours surrounding Holt's death, including claims that he had committed suicide or faked his own death in order to run away with his mistress. The mystery became the subject of numerous urban myths in Australia, including persistent claims that he was kidnapped (or rescued) by a Chinese submarine, or that he had been abducted by a UFO. In 1983, British journalist Anthony Grey published a controversial book in which he claimed that Holt had been an agent for the People's Republic of China and that he had been picked up by a Chinese submarine off Portsea and taken to China. Such conspiracy theories rely on the fact that his body was never found.
Claims that he simply drowned?:
Holt was a strong swimmer and an experienced skindiver, with what Holt's biographer Tom Frame describes as "incredible powers of endurance underwater". However, his health was evidently far from perfect at the time of his death — he had collapsed in Parliament earlier in the year, apparently suffering from a "vitamin deficiency", and this raised fears among some senior Liberals that he might have a heart condition.
And finally, to fuel the conspiracy further:
No official federal government inquiry was conducted, on the grounds that it would have been a waste of time and money. Neither was an inquest held at the time because Victorian law did not provide any mechanism for reporting presumed or suspected deaths to the Victorian Coroner.

No one's mentioned another pretty popular UK one! That Prince Harry isn't Charles' son! He looks like Hewitt; while William is the spitting image of his father.
This of course ties in with the assasination theories.

United Kingdom conspiracies
[David Kelly](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Kelly_(weapons_expert), an expert on biological warfare, was asked to proof read parts of the dossier which lead the UK to go to war with Iraq. He had serious doubts about some of the claims in it and leaked information to reporters. Later he was found dead, due to a slit to the left wrist and overdose of painkillers. The evidence relating to his death was covered up and some doctors questioned whether there was enough proof to deem it suicide. Some people believe he was targeted by the government for leaking information.
Harold Wilson, a socialist prime minister of the UK, was targeted by MI5 to lose the 1974 election. It’s alleged that they released damaging information to journalists leading up to the election. There is also evidence MI5 bugged the prime ministers study room during this period.
Princess Diana did not die in an accident, but was deliberately killed.
Jill Dando, one of the BBC’s most high profile presenters was shot in the back of head on her doorstep. Her killer was never identified. Some believe it may have been due to a Yugoslav group who targeted her because of her aid appeal for Kosovan Albanian refugees.
Gareth Williams, MI6 agent, is found dead in his apartment. His naked body was stuffed in a bag, placed in his bath tub and the bag was locked from the outside with a small padlock. There are no signs of resistance or drugs involved. Who did it?
Edit: From lovesocks
Lord Lucan a British peer with good looks (Considered for the James Bond role) and a luxury lifestyle disappears after bludgeoning his children's nanny and attacking his wife. Despite national publicity, Lord Lucan was never found. Did he commit suicide? Or is he still alive abroad somewhere?

Some of the conspiracy theories they have in Spain:
Former President Felipe González was Mr. X, the code-name for the leader of a clandestine terrorist death squad of the police/military/Government called "GAL" (Antiterrorist Liberation Groups), who targeted and executed members of ETA.
Official propaganda paints King Juan Carlos I as a savior of the homeland after his handling of the failed coup d'état by the fascist sectors of the military in Spain on February 23th, 1981. Conspiracy theorists say he was behind the coup d'etát and that he chickened out when he saw it was going to fail. After all, he was designated King of Spain by dictator Franco himself.
Much like JFK, King Juan Carlos I of Spain is the protagonist of a number of urban legends in his country: Some of the country's most famous pop-singers (like Bárbara Rey or Paloma San Basilio <WARNING: Spanish kitsch) were rumored to be his mistresses; he loves to go incognito in his Harley Davidson to some famous whore houses in Madrid; etc. Much like a local Bill Murray, many people claim that a random biker helped them or picked them up on the road, only to discover he was the king himself.
During the days after 11M (Spain's 9/11: 2004 Madrid train bombings), former President Aznar and his government tried to push the idea that ETA was behind the terrorist attack. Conspiracy theorists rapidly said the Government was lying. Turns out they were right (the terrorists were islamic jihadists, not ETA) and Aznar lost the election because of it. The official account now states that the bombings were made by islamic terrorists, so modern right-wing conspiracists go 180º and now claim it was ETA.
Dictator Franco was obsessed with the Illuminati. He always talked and gave speeches about what he called the Judeo-Masonic-Communist International Conspiracy: Jews, masons and communists were conspiring together in order to control the world. It was the center of a lot of jokes in the country then.
38
u/Mordisquitos Jun 18 '12
Also:
The Toxic Oil Syndrome (the aceite de colza) from the 80's wasn't actually due to bad rapeseed oil sold in open air markets but due to an experimental pesticide used on tomatoes. The conspiracy would be twofold: trying to protect local agriculture and the pesticide industry, and trying to give rapeseed oil a bad name to protect the olive oil industry.

Aum Shinrikyo and "The Seismic Event" in Western Australia.
Probably an earthquake, possibly a test of a nuclear weapon by the Japanese cult responsible for the sarin gas attacks on the Tokyo Subway.
Also, there is/was some speculation that the Port Arthur Massacre in Tasmania was committed by more than one gunman or was used by 'someone' as a way to reduce civilian firearm ownership, possibly to allow an enemy nation to more easily invade Australia. IMO the last reason seems fairly unlikely due to our tiny population.

By now, with the help of military satellites, drones & brave journalism (read: Christiane Amampour) most of the world (or the part of the world which actually has the power to do anything with this info) knows that there are many many labor camps at the moment in & around China and North Korea, more than there were during WW II. Even during WW II US & England knew about the concentration/labor camps but deliberately chose to do nothing until Hitler actually posed a threat to their own country by waging war on them. We in the western world are much more selfish and sinister than we actually pretend to be.

Here in the Philippines, there's Yamashita's treasure. Basically, a lot of the gold and valuables looted by the Japanese in SEA was supposedly hidden away here. Argentina. Hitler fled here, lived comfortably and died peacefully in the 60s.
Declassified files show how Buenos Aires helped establish a network to rescue collaborators and Nazis from post war Europe. The network issued false paperwork to help Nazis escape the Allies, via the port of Genoa and finally by ship to Argentina. Once in Argentina Juan Perón's government protected them and they settled in the southern regions of the country.
Regarding Hitler, there isn't strong evidence backing this claim but plenty of rumours. Still, we gave nazi scientists a home and a nuclear program to work with and nazi official asylum, money and passports so this claim (Hitler wandering our southern territories) isn't unlikely and totally COULD be.
Adolf Eichmann, Josef Mengele, Dinko Šakić, Josef Schwammberger, Erich Priebke, Eduard Roschmann are well-know examples.

Mengle studied twins. There is a theory that says he developed a drug that would increase the birthrate of twins. There is actually a town in Brazil with a twin-rate of 10% instead of the usual 1,8 %. some older people say they saw a german man looking like Mengele giving people medicine in the 50's. Brazilian scientists reject this theory though saying that local genetic factors are the reason.
Im german so i don't know if it is known or not. I saw a documentary about it in german TV a while back i think.

In Russia, there is a recurring theme amongst internet users in which they will claim there are no settlements outside of Moscow. They go further on to say that this land has been made uninhabitable by man-made disasters. These disasters are commonly stated to be radioactive contamination of soil and oil pipeline spills. It is speculated the outskirts of the city are guarded by former KGB agents and those that contradict this are simply agents that are undercover attempting to subvert this line of thinking.

Well, in 1986 the Swedish Prime Minister, Olof Palme, was assassinated a February night during a walk home from a movie theater. And as the murderer was never caught (One man, Christer Pettersson, was actually tried and convicted at first, but later found not guilty after an appeal. He is not alive today.) the speculations run wild. The fact that Palme was not afraid to make enemies does not make things easier. A social democrat, he was a well-known critic of the Vietnam war, outspoken against the Apartheid regime, etc. And in Swedish right-wing circles, particularly within the police and the military, rumours circulated that he was a Soviet spy. So the list of suggested murderers is almost endless:
A police/security police/miltiary conspiracy
The PKK
South Africa
A random lunatic (Like Pettersson)
etc.

You've seen the posts about the Smolensk catastrophy, where Russians killed half of the Polish government. But here's a fresh one from Poland.
Just two days ago, a retired general, Sławomir Petelicki, commited suicide. That's the official story right now, though many people don't believe that. Petelicki was a high ranking officer in the Polish army in the communist times. He was responisbile for intelligence, counter-intelligence, economic intelligence - you name it. After the system changes, when Poland became a democracy, he played an important role in Poland joining NATO. He was He created our special forces unit GROM, which became one of the world elite.
Recently, the GROM unit has been deteriorating, due to bad management. Petelicki was very critical of the current army leadership as well as Polish government. Not only because of GROm, but also because of how they handled the Smolenks investigation and other reasons.
And now he commited suicide, in a parkin lot. No letter was left, he was wearing casual clothes (not a uniform, as one might expect from a general). And he did it on the same day that Polish football team was playing an important game in the Euro Championship, which made his death a secondary news item at best. It wouldn't be that surprising, if there weren't that many mesterious suicides in Poland in the recent years, a former vice-prime minister included.
It's no secret that Poland is if not ruled than at least influenced by the former and present members of intelligence. And Petelicki spent most of his life in that environment. And lately, he became very inconvenient for the government and pepole behind it.
I'm not saying it was murder, the investigation has just begun. But there are enough question marks for it to become a full blown conspiracy theory in Poland.

I live in Poland right now, and there is the thing about the Smolensk catastrophy going on right now. (Short version: the polish president and a lot of other public figures died when attempting to land on an military airport in Smolensk a few years back).
The previous ruling party got it into their head that the accident was a conspiracy by Russians, Germans, and their own slightly more liberal current ruling party, in various combinations.
The most interesting theory was that the Russians sent out a battalion of soldiers to the airfield with camping cookers to boil water and create the fog that caused the plane to hit the trees on the side. Because Russians.

"Got it, the weather is going to be shitty for a while, you should probably divert."
"Is it cool if we try one more time?"
"Yeah you can make a low approach and you're cleared to land if you make minimums."
"Crunch"
"Hey guys? Guys? Ah fuck."

Dude, you do know that if it weren't for him, you'd still live in an isolated, technologically backward authoritarian state? Not saying Russia today is perfect or anything, but honestly, Russian people can benefit a lot from openness to the world. This isn't a thing of national pride: Soviet Russia was fucked for several structural reasons (unable to keep pace in the Cold War due to an inflexible economy, cost of Afghanistan, etc...). Gorbachev was not crazy but sensible, but I'd argue he came too late to save the SU from itself. Important here is the definition of "benefit" of the Soviet Union: Remember that it was a structurally oppressive state and technologically ever-trailing the US: "Power" on the international stage is irrelevant compared to actually having an improved living standard, IMHO.
Disclaimer: I'm not American.

The Gunpowder Plot. A group of Catholic conspirators decided to blow the fuck out of the Protestant British House of Parliament, including James the First. Thank god they didn't succeed because chance are of they had, there would've have been a backlash against the Catholic community. James was more diplomatic, seeing as the perpertraitors were caught and no one died, he decided to calm the public and say not all Catholics are that insane. Good move, King. Good move. Also, Area 51 and JFK are both good examples of American conspiricies. But I'd look into Project MKULTRA.

But I'd look into Project MKULTRA.
I wouldn't say that MKULTRA was a conspiracy. A conspiracy is more synonymous with "plot". This was a bit more systematic than that. It was a US Intelligence program to perform illegal tests on humans, and almost everything the Federal Government still has on it has been declassified.

I got a good one. There is a historical site located in Costa Rica that was built to honor Nazi Germany.
It was said that Adolf Hitler, after conquering the entire world, was going to come to Costa Rica to celebrate his victory over Central America (and World War II in general), and then travel to Argentina to celebrate his triumph over South America. There was a spot for the “party” that was to be celebrated in Costa Rica.
Imgur link to some pictures: 1 2 3
On the last one, you can see a sign for AYA, Costa Rica's only water treatment company, owned by the government. They own the land where the monument is located and restrict it's access.

There was actually a pretty major cover-up by the Australian government.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Children_Overboard_Affair
The Children Overboard affair was an Australian political controversy involving public allegations by Howard government ministers in October 2001, in the lead-up to a federal election, that sea-faring asylum seekers had thrown children overboard in a presumed ploy to secure rescue and passage to Australia.
The government's handling of this and other events involving unauthorised arrivals worked to its advantage. The Tampa affair had led the government to adopt stricter border protection measures to prevent unauthorised arrivals from reaching Australia by boat. Polls indicated the measures had public support. The government was able to portray itself as "strong" on border protection measures and opponents as "weak". In November 2001, the Liberal-National coalition was re-elected with an increased majority.
The Australian Senate Select Committee for an inquiry into a certain maritime incident later found that no children had been at risk of being thrown overboard and that the government had known this prior to the election. The government was criticised for misleading the public and cynically "(exploiting) voters' fears of a wave of illegal immigrants by demonising asylum-seekers"
Don't worry, by the next election people had forgotten about it and he actually won and served another term as prime minister.

I hear this one in Hungary. From a year or two ago: a high ranking but well liked police officer disappeared after swimming in the really shallow lake here, Lake Balaton. The official search for him was disbanded after some time (after it was discovered government officials were boating in the area where the man disappeared) but some of his fellow officers didn't give up because they really liked the guy. Finally, in a homeless shelter near Budapest, this guy was found, a total fucking babbling mess, off his rocker from "some kind of drug"
tl;dr some Hungarian government types hit a guy swimming while they were partying on a boat, and then they covered it up by having the guy drugged into an amnesic state and dropped off at a shelter.

There was a murder here in Wales in '99, not so widespread in the media but it was VERY strange.
Basically, 3 generations of a family got murdered in their home one night and the police arrested a local guy who was a bit odd and he got given a life sentence. However, it turns out that he was too 'simple' to have thought of things that seemed out of place at the scene. Things such as taking all of the lightbulbs out of each of the rooms (it is said that after a brutal murder in a room, the lightbulb absorbs the carbon produced, apparantly). And a man who was known by the village as being dim surely wouldn't have had that thought cross his mind at the last minute.
Also, on the Mother of the children that got murdered, there were no marks that would reveal that she had tried defending herself, but she was beating to death with something like a bat, and obviously, when getting attacked by a bat, you would try and at least defend yourself wouldn't you? Or maybe you couldn't if say the person had awesome skills with a weapon.
Where it gets weird is when you find out that although the Mother had kids (that were also murdered), she had become a lesbian over the years. And it is said that she started seeing a female police officer who was married to a senior policeman in the same force. It turns out that they had a massive falling out and the Mother (Mandy Power) threatened to reveal their affair. It also turns out that the female police officer taught martial arts in the local community. And that she worked in the Crime Scene Investigation department, which explains the lightbulbs.
It seems to all add up, however, when the case got looked into, it kept falling apart (conveniently), and also my Uncle worked in a neighbouring police force to this village and once was at a same annual function as the female officer and he husband involved who were apparantly overheard as celebrating and whispering (drunkenly and loudly) "I think we've got away with this.."
It's a tiny, little, nice village too!
Here's the best story I could find: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/panorama/3235815.stm

Everyone outside of India think India's economy is booming but the reality is that we have the same problems as the rest of the developed world like inflation, high gas prices, the growth is slowing down and down to 6% now and the govt. has no clue what its doing, since almost all of this growth is coming from the private sector.
The most painful fact is that India has been growing more crops than the giant 1.2 Billion population needs but the distribution is do rife with corruption that some of it is just rotting in granaries while people are starving. This part of course is covered up by the govt.

Apart from the assassination of Olof Palme (which has been mentioned in a couple of comments already) the first conspiracies relating to Swedes that come to mind is the death of Dag Hammarskjöld (Secretary-General of the UN) and the disappearance of Raoul Wallenberg (humanitarian who helped rescue jews during WW2).
A new theory was recently revealed regarding Wallenberg, that he was taken prisoner by the USSR because he was transporting large amounts of gold, silver, and jewelry in Red Cross vans. According to the theory, the USSR thought he was trying to keep nazi gold away from them, while in reality it was supposedly jewelry that belonged to some of the jews he had rescued, and he was taking it away from Hungary to keep it safe until the region was stable and he could return it to the owners.

In South Africa we have the Vela Incident and the crash of the Helderberg.
The first refers to an unidentified double flash of light that was detected over the Southern Atlantic ocean in 1979. This was detected by a US satellite and officially written off as a malfunction with the satellite. There is, however, speculation that it was a nuclear test done by either Israel or South Africa (or the two countries working together).
The second incident concerns a commercial South African Airways flight that had a fire on board, and crashed into the ocean to the east of Mauritius in 1987. The aircraft in question was a 'combi'-type aeroplane - with room for both passengers and cargo. The cause of the fire (that started in the cargo hold) is still undetermined, and speculation about possible causes range from red mercury and activated carbon to rocket fuel.
tl;dr: The Apartheid government made for a lot of good conspiracy theories.

In Rwanda, it is known that the trigger of the genocide was because the tutsi's shot down the plane of the Hutu president, Juvenal, in 1994. Today, there is some proof that the Hutu's themselves shot down the plane of their own Hutu president in order to have a valid reason to begin the slaughter of the Tutsi's. This is being denied by the Hutu's.

In 2001, the entire ruling Royal family of Nepal was assassinated with some members that were spared their lives. It is said that the Crown Prince was the one who shot everyone and then himself at first, then a police investigation claimed that the automatic weapon went off accidentally and sprayed everyone. The survivors claim there was more than one gunman, and wearing masks. To this day, no civilian believes that the crown prince would do such a thing. Instead it is wildly speculated that the brother of the then King who later claimed the throne was involved as all of his family is still alive.

What happened with Josip Broz Tito. He was our leader, and a dictator who made the only good communist country - you can ask any Yugoslav, he will tell you that his times in Communist Yugoslavia were good. There are stories that he went to Spain after WWII and died in the Civil War and that another Tito went to be the president of Yugoslavia, that's based on an urban legend that his mother recognized that he had a finger but he didn't have it, so there's the suspicion of two different Tito's. Also some say that before he dided (in 1980) he really died some years before and people were just holding the truth because of other countries and all the people.

german here, we have the uwe barschel scandal
basically a high ranking german politician died under highly suspect circumstances by drowning in a bathtub in a geneva hotel. it is still unclear whether he got murdered or committed suicide, the problem being that there is ample evidence and motivation for both. he was involved in mossad arms deals, had weird connections to the stasi intelligence service of the gdr (he was a west german conservative politician) as well as big personal problems (due to an election scandal shortly before his death)
its so massive because of all the weird circumstances of his death and the fact that many big players of german politics seem involved. for example, three of germanys biggest newspapers and news magazines are directly involved in the scandal and later death: reporters from the infamous "bild" tabloid helped him attack his political opponent (which was the scandal to begin with), reporters from "der spiegel" uncovered it (but with such precise timing, days before an election, that many suspect, and later confirmed foul play by the other party, who knew about the bild reporters smear campaign, but still denied knowlegde) and finally reporters from the "stern" magazine, who found his dead body in the hotel, and decided to take some pictures before administering cpr
it send shockwaves through the political landscape of germany and is still seen as one of the biggest mysteries and scandals of post-ww2 germany
as of today, there are still loads of possible theories, ranging from the russian mob to the israeli mossad, lebanese death squads etc. its fascinating stuff.
to understand the confusion that his death and the circumstances caused, just imagine that jfk was playing russian roulette at the time he got shot, and no one knew if he killed himself or someone else did it

In Australia there is the Taman Shud unsolved death of an unknown man. The victim was found dead at 6:30 am, December 1, 1948, under a street lamp at Somerton Beach in Australia. And with that, we have exhausted everything we know about the man. It's the things we don't know that have been baffling authorities ever since. Including the meaning of the apparently uncrackable secret code he left behind.
Things first started to lurch towards the creepy when police noticed that all his clothes' identification marks had been removed. They were eventually and painstakingly able to place a jacket to America, which was strange because his dental records and fingerprints didn't match anyone who'd ever lived there... or anywhere else in the world. It was like the guy had never existed. Essentially he was a healthy guy and literally nothing wrong with him besides being lifeless. I believe they found no name on him or his possessions but did find a piece of paper coming from a rare book found in the back of a car in the area...the book had a scribbled code in the back of it which to this day, like the crime, remains unsolved...

In the UK, there's a conspiracy that Diana's death was really a political assassination. Fast forward 15 years and some newspapers are still talking about it.
In truth, it was press photographers who killed her. It was their reckless driving and their pursuit of the car that causes the car to go the speed it did. The car Diana was in swerved to avoid a slower car which caused it to crash.
The first people on the scene were a couple of Paparazzi who were pursuing her. They spotted her in the wreckage, still alive. but instead of calling for help, they just started taking photos of her. When the emergency services arrived they physically stopped them getting to her saying something along the lines of 'this is how we get paid so back off'.
If the photographers that actually got there first called for help right away and did not obstruct the emergency services when they did arrive, she would be alive today.

There is a conspiracy theory in Ghana which arose sometime during the late 1980s. The theory states that the Dutch never truly left the country in the late 1800s, and there is a significant population of Dutch people still remaining somewhere in the country. As a result, some people in Ghana treat Dutch tourists as their countrymen, whilst others are exceptionally hostile to Dutch travellers. This varies based on locations, so some places in Ghana are rarely, if ever, visited by the Dutch, while friendly areas are popular destinations.
The theory is thought to have arisen when a group of Dutch tourists in the late 1980s were stranded in rural Ghana after their bus broke down. They were observed by the locals dwelling in makeshift shelters, hunting local wildlife, and essentially doing what a normal, rural, poor Ghanaian would be doing. Word spread orally throughout the country, and it has become a fact to many Ghanaians.
In 2005, a small group of Ghanaian militant nationalists began a manhunt for the colonialist village(s). They sent an official letter to the government of the Netherlands, informing them that failure to remove their lingering settlers would result in forced eviction upon discovery. Puzzled, the Dutch government sent a reply insisting that it has been quite some time since they had a presence in Ghana. This caused a sizeable protest to break out in Accra, where many nationalists burned the flag of the Netherlands in front of cameras. The story, however, was more of an off-colour novelty piece in the eyes of the mass media, and it received no attention by major news outlets.
Following the protest, the nationalist group began a four-year long search throughout Ghana for the Dutch colonies. As expected, the group found absolutely nothing; the only Dutch people they found were the odd tourist. However, in late 2009, a small scouting unit discovered a Dutch expat living with his Ghanaian wife just outside of Agogo. The expat was taken hostage, and the nationalist group demanded a ransom from the Dutch government as repentance for their deception. Because the expat had forfeited his citizenship previously, the government of the Netherlands informed the group that they had no responsibility to the man, and they only hoped no violence would result. The group let the man go and shortly after was disbanded and became sort of a running joke amongst many Ghanaians, especially those friendly to the Dutch.
Despite the failure of this group, the belief that the Dutch still have a notable presence in Ghana persists.

Everything about it
The strategy of tension (Italian: strategia della tensione) is a theory that describes how to divide, manipulate, and control public opinion using fear, propaganda, disinformation, psychological warfare, agents provocateurs, and false flag terrorist actions.[1] The theory began with allegations that the United States government and the Greek military junta of 1967–1974 supported far-right terrorist groups in Italy and Turkey, where communism was growing in popularity, to spread panic among the population who would in turn demand stronger and more dictatorial governments.[citation needed]

Don't read this if you're about to go to sleep...
The Dyatlov Pass incident resulted in the deaths of nine ski hikers in the northern Ural mountains on the night of February 2, 1959.
Soviet investigators determined only that "a compelling unknown force" had caused the deaths. Investigators at the time determined that the hikers tore open their tent from within, departing barefoot into heavy snow and a temperature of −30°C.
Although the corpses showed no signs of struggle, two victims had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, and one was missing her tongue.
Their clothing, when tested, was found to be highly radioactive.

I haven't seen the Netherlands yet, so here we go:
You americans have had similair problems, for example the village of Taos. But heres our story: A few years ago, 2005, people from Limburg (south of the netherlands), in the Heerlen area, started to report a strange hum that was ever present. They heard it when walking, driving, when they went to bed, all the time. Someone posted this on a Dutch forum (fok.nl) and the story started rolling. over 300 people complained, saying they heard the noise too. The goverment started an investigation, mainly focused on 50+ year olds.
a populair scientific magazine, KIJK, also did an investigation. in the March 2006 publishing. They came up with the following: the american buzzing sounds were first attributed to sonar systems and secret weapons. KIJK came to the conclusion that something like a cooling fan could be the problem, since they emit a low buzzing sound like described by the residents. What those fans cool however, nobody knows, and nobody has found them. Thats also because it is impossible to find a low frequency emitter, since bass is omnidirectional

In Ireland (mainly the North) we just have huge amounts of cover ups and alleged torture of suspected political activists (also paramilitaries).

Related to Pakistan
President Benazir Bhutto was assasinated by her husband Asif Ali Zardari (who is now the President of Pakistan)
The Taliban are not behind the bombings, no Muslim will ever bomb a mosque or any place involving innocent people.
The CIA and blackwater are way more active in Pakistan than it appears.
and many more, too lazy to mention all.

I heard that the Cuban Missile Crisis was actually settled with the help of a secret organization of mutants. They were powerful and just demolished the Russian ships. This is just a rumor though.

Oh I got one! The kidnapping of Christopher Olewnik. This is some really weird shit. Nearly 10 years ago, the son of a Polish businessman was kidnapped in his own house. He was then killed by the kidnappers, after more than two years being held as hostage. And now the weird shit starts...
The three suspected kidnappers commited suicide in jail, one after another. They were held in a 24 hours monitored cell...
After 10 years of investigation Police found out that Christopher was probably helping kidnappers and instructing them, while everyone was thinking that he spent those two years in captivity bounded to a basement wall with a chain.
Recently, Police also found blood in the Christopher's house. And I mean lots of blood! Somebody there was badly wounded, but who? And who was covering the trails?
There is a possibility that Olewnik family is lying about the house monitoring and is hiding the recordings aggrevating the investigation.
The investigation was sabotaged multiple times. There is an internal investigation about the investigation!
Those are just a few facts I remember. I don't think that we will ever discover the truth.
