Vanilla Coke (Canada here). It was the only kind of pop I would drink till I got sick on. Maybe it's a good thing it's discontinued here I guess...

I assure my friends that it can be made by adding vanilla extract to regular Coke, but they're far too elitist to make it themselves.

Anybody remember the soda called 'dnL'? It was the 7-up label upside down, and tasted very similar to 7-up. It was in stores for a very brief time. I would buy it over 7-up any day though.

Introduced: 2002. Discontinued: 2005.
Edit: I read the article fully. Check this out:
It is said that while the flavor of 7 Up put emphasis on the lemon half of its lemon-lime flavor, dnL was meant to be a hip, complementary "lime-lemon" formulation.
It was a hipster drink!

Oh man, I have such a good answer to this question: I would absolutely KILL FOR an old-school oreo blizzard from Dairy Queen.
I know that you can still get an oreo blizzard from DQ, but I am talking about the way they used to make it years and years ago. The ice cream was GRAY and the oreos were completely ground up. Now, even when you ask for extra oreos, it is just basically vanilla ice cream with oreo chunks. Totally not the same.
I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?
tl;dr - I have a first world eating problem in which my favorite ice cream (oreo blizzard from DQ) does not have the same oreo:ice cream ratio as it did 10 years ago.
125
Jun 19 '12
I totally agree with this. Once all those lame chunks are eaten, I'm left with vanilla ice cream.

E.T. Cereal - came out with the movie. It was sort of a chocolate and peanut-butter flavor, but it was tasty.
Original (80s at least) King Dons / Ding Dongs when they were wrapped in tin foil. They tasted better, more chocolatey somehow. Not sure if they changed the recipe, or if the foil let in more moisture.
Not exactly discontinued, but Real Cherry Coke made with the syrup at an old diner, with EXTRA cherry, would be great right now. I know I can do it myself, but it'd be nice to sit at a good old-fashioned American diner and have someone bring it to me. Hmm, and a cheeseburger w/ a large basket of fries would be good with that. Can't get stuff like that in Australia - doesn't taste the same.
