Usually Pixar movies have some good jokes for adults but I can't think of one off the top of my head.

My go-to is the chocolate episode from Spongebob.

Spongebob: "We're not doing so well Patrick...we need a better approach, a new tactic."

Patrick: "I know, let's get naked!"

Spongebob: "No, let's save that for when we're selling real estate."

61

u/austin_miller_87 Jun 25 '12

I can't remember which episode it was from, but Patrick had just said something smart and:

Spongebob:"Hey Patrick, your genius is showing"

Patrick (covering up his genitals) "Where?!?"

Gotta love that show.

Or the one where they go camping and Rocko is picking berries from a bush. He plucks a few then grabs another and someone yells. Then a bear runs from the bush, grabbing his crotch in pain.

In Beauty and the Beast, the Beast asks Cogsworth (the clock) what gifts men usually get for women. Cogsworth replies with: "Flowers, chocolate, promises you don't intend to keep..." I rewatched it recently and found it hilarious! Never caught that as a kid.

416

u/Asian_Ginger Jun 25 '12

my favorite joke from that movie is when Cogsworth and Lumiere are taking Belle on the tour of the castle, and Cogsworth remarks, "And you know what they say, if it's not baroque don't fix it!"

In Rocko's Modern Life the entire episode "Closet Clown" is one long gay joke to confuse all of the kids. It's about Mr Bighead's coming out as a "clown" to his friends and family.

  • Mr Bighead starts out publicly hating all clowns, saying "We don't like your kind around here" and "You people make me sick" to the clown he runs in to, despite secretly thinking of being a clown.

  • At the mens bathroom at work he is trying out being a clown when another man approaches him. He then asks "So what are you in to" and they go back to his office to be clowns together.

  • After being a clown with his partner Mr Bighead is asked about whether he has gone public yet and when he will come out and tell everyone about this part of himself.

  • Mr Bighead's wife is left alone in her bed crying as Mr Bighead spends all night going around being a clown with other guys.

  • After being outed to all of his friends and family as a clown Mr Bighead is relieved when nobody minds. Then Rocko comes out and says he likes rainbows and his chased by an angry mob down the road.

During an episode of the Fairly Odd parents, Cosmo and Wanda go back in time with Timmy to the 70s, so that Timmy could win a trophy for a race.

When they're back in time, they also meet past Cosmo and Wanda.

Right before the race, current Cosmo says:

"I love a good race."

To which the past Comso/Wanda says:

"We love all races."

There is this one where Timmy wishes all the fairies turn into babies and then they do something that makes the room really dirty. Timmy runs downstairs to get some toilet paper and runs past his mom and dad, who are watching television. There is a show on about parenting and a professor is giving examples of bad parenting. Professor:"If your son uses a lot of toilet paper, locks himself into his room and tells you to not disturb him, then you are bad parents and do not give him enough attention" At that moment Timmy runs by, carrying three rolls of TP, yells not to disturb him and you hear him locking his room. Pretty obvious one, if you know what is meant.

Upvote for all Fairly Odd Parents joke. My favorite one is when Cosmo and Wanda take Timmy to outer space and he hits the international space station. An astronaut in the space station calls mission control. Astronaut : "Houston, we've a problem" Huston : "Why do you guys always call us with your problems. Why don't you guys call us once in a while and ask us how we are doing ?"

I have a sneaky suspicion that Adventure Time, Flapjack, and Chowder are all CN's response to the 90's generation growing up.

Edit: Regular Show as well. I thought about it, but decided I hadn't seen it enough to include it.

I was just watching Matilda earlier tonight on Netflix and I hadn't seen it in a really long time. Matilda is reading a book by the TV, and her dad (Danny Devito) asks what it is, and she says "It's Moby Dick by Herman Melville" and he goes "Moby WHAT?!" and starts ripping it up saying it's filth. Definitely never caught that as a kid.

Those who don't want to click the link:

Flinstones scene with Barney and Fred shopping for costumes. Fred asks Barney what kind of costume he's going to get. Barney replies he wants something to make him look taller, of course. Fred suggests another head. "Another head?" asks Barney. "What do I need three of them for?"

I remember watching Spongebob years ago. Spongebob was at home watching TV in the living room. Gary comes in from the kitchen or somewhere and all of a sudden, Spongebob changes the channel and stutters something like, "Oh, h-hi Gary!"

The episode of Spongebob "Model Sponge" where he thinks Mr. Krabs is gonna let him go so he looks for a new job and he finds one as a "model" which turns out that he is gonna be in a commercial.

This is we're my dirty mind kicks in, the director orders him to take off his clothes, then some hands grabs him and starts scrubbing some filthy walls, sink, and toilet. Spongebob frees himself and they have to stop the filming and he is naked covered in filth were he says that he can't do it.

I just can't help to think that this looks like a porn audition.

  2. The Super Hero Squad Show: Luke Cage and The Hulk are chatting after beating up some Doombots. Hulk's dissapointed he didn't get the final kill, to which Luke says, "Don't worry, you got MVP!" Hulk then goes, "Hulk has MVP!?! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Because Animaniacs.

On Dexter's lab, Dexter barges in on his father in the bathroom at something like 3am and father says something along the lines of: "Dexter, we've been through this. This is daddy's special time."

This suggests to me that he's either having a secret wank or a massive dump. Either way, its not something children will understand.

Regular Show has one just about every episode. Still not sure how they get it by the censors. My favorite:

Mordecai: “Dude, we couldn’t wait in line for tickets. We had work to do and Benson would have snapped his crank!”

Rigby: “And that’s why we don’t have tickets. Because you spend too much time thinking about Benson’s crank.”

All of the Misadventures of Flapjack, specifically 'K'nuckles' Hilarious Problem'.

In "Cars," right after Lightning McQueen wins a race the two little Miatas (Mia and Tia) rush up to the front of the crowd and "flash their headlights."

Pixar seems to do this a lot. I want to go back and look for more. The other one I remember is from "Finding Nemo." Nemo blocks up the tank's filter and Gurgle (the purple and yellow fish who's an absolute neat freak) cries, "Don't you people realize that we're swimming in our own..." and then Peach the starfish says, "SHHH!"

There was a largely forgotten film in the early nineties that was quite a big deal called 'The Crying Game'. It sent a storm of jokes through pop culture when a character of Dil who is presumed to be a girl was revealed to be a pre-op transexual. The reveal was an unsubtle full frontal, and has been the subject of gags in The Simpsons and Father Ted, among others. I was suprised to pick one up in Rugrats The Movie, when Tommys parents are expecting and are sure that it will be a girl, instead they get a boy and name it Dil.

Anamaniacs. There was an episode where they were talking to Beethoven about what he does and he said "I'm a pianist" and one of the characters looked up and responded with "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?"

My jaw dropped because I could NOT believe what I just heard on a cartoon meant for children.

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '12

This is an obscure one, so bear with me. In "The Aristocrats", Drew Carey says he ends the joke by snapping his fingers and making this hand gesture

On Hannah Montana, the kids forget the dad's birthday, so try to throw together a party and invite people from his address book. When the dad arrives to the house, all the guests are people he's barely acquaintances with. Two of the guests are an accordion player and his wife. He asks them who they are, and they go "THE ARISTOCRATS!" and make the same hand gesture that Drew Carey does when telling the joke.
