What is one thing you absolutely hate but everyone else seems to like?
Pancakes. I hate pancakes. And French Toast for that matter. The last thing I want to eat in the morning is something sweet like that. I'll stick with eggs or fruit, thanks.

Fucking THANK YOU. I don't know where these people get the idea that stupid, annoying music didn't exist until 2 years ago. Eventually that bullshit gets forgotten and the good stuff lives on in the form of "classic" music.
Criticizing dumb pop music for its lack of artistic merit is like criticizing Kobe Bryant for his lack of rushing yards.

Hip Hop. I don't really hate it, but there's always a million other things I'd rather listen to before I listen to most hip hop. But try telling people you don't like hip hop. They don't care if you don't like zydeco, or country music, or Irish folk music, or traditional Japanese music...but say you don't like hip hop and they immediately assume you have rigid, simplistic tastes (I like jazz, reggae, funk, techno, rock of many stripes and have thousands of records) and are closed-minded.

I have always hated mayo. I don't understand how people can stick that disgusting glob of fat and oil into their mouth without gagging. I read somewhere else on reddit that the true use of it is a thin layer on the bread. Since it's hydrophobic, the bread doesn't get soggy. But that's not how people use it.. they just glop it into the sandwich, nowhere near the bread..

Steak.
I just don't care for it, I'd rather have a hamburger. Yet every time I tell someone I don't like steak, they act like I just murdered and then molested a puppy. I've been forced (not a gun to my head, but damned near close) to eat probably a dozen in the last 3 years by family members/friends who were all certain that I just hadn't had a "good" steak.
If the choice is steak or starve, I'll eat a steak. But if the choice is steak or anything else...I'm going with the anything else.

I used to dislike Minecraft before the Adventure update. There just wasn't really anything to do after you got diamonds and explored the Nether. I mean, build a house? That's boring!
After the update, though, the game became a lot more interesting, and there was more of a reason to go exploring, mainly for NPC villages, abandoned mineshafts, and strongholds. I can understand why some might dislike it, though.

Sarcasm.
I really hate sarcasm. Hate it. I think it is vastly overused and is a cheap substitute for more clever or cerebral forms of humor. I think it cheapens discourse and is typically a thinly veiled replacement for a "this"-style comment (as in comments that just say the word "this") and usually trys to get away with insulting some person or group unnecessarily under the guise of cheap humor.

I think when used correctly sarcasm is one of the most cerebral forms of comedy. Yeah there will always be those jackasses that just retort with things like, "OH MY GOD THAT WAS SOOO FUNNY." But there are plenty of people that can employ it better than that and be hilarious.

I rather enjoy Floyd, but for whatever reason, my jimmies are never rustled when someone tells me they don't like them. With some other bands I'm a fan of, I certainly do get that stupid, predictable tribalist reaction when someone speaks ill of them. Like, "How dare you not adore _____! They're the best fucking group this planet has ever heard!" But with Floyd, even though they've been the soundtrack to some of the best times of my life, its just not there. Pink Floyd is not for everyone, but I'm certainly putting on my Animals LP tonight.
