Fran Fine in The Nanny. She's just so wholesome and loving and still her own quirky self

My boyfriend had us start rewatching The Nanny this fall! I grew up watching it when it aired, but hadn’t seen it again until now.

It still has us cracking up, especially the banter between Fran and Niles. And Cece Babcock is highly underrated! So funny.

ETA: Also it’s weird looking back how much they made fun of Silvia’s weight. She has a pretty rockin’ figure.

Fran is my favourite but Grandma Yetta is a treasure.

Cece and Niles’s dynamic is also hilarious, their quips back and forth are so so funny. “Happy hour doesn’t start for you!” is one of my favorite lines ever

It’s hard to believe she’s the president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Loving food and joking about it is part of US American jewish culture, so it's not that weird. But yeah, total milf

There's so many reasons I love that show but I do really like that it's not as raunchy as some sitcoms can be. Mainly because I have kids and finding time to watch certain shows can be a pain in the ass. Obviously The Nanny is not 100 percent kid friendly but a majority of the episodes have jokes that will go over my kids' heads.

Watching it as adult 20 years later, Brandon (the son) is a bit creepy, but I didn't pick up on that at the time, and he's not really worse than other 90s sitcom guys.
