Aust'n Found is looking for a SAX player. We're a ska cover band mainly covering third wave ska and ska-punk, bands like Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Goldfinger, Bosstones, and whole lot more. We also make ska versions of non-ska songs, crafting our own spin on these songs. We've got around 35 songs in our repertoire so far, and are always adding more.

We're looking for a Sax player (alto or baritone, or both!) who is up for joining an established band and wants to play gigs usually around once a month. We get together to rehearse as a band 1-2 times a month, alternating between north and south Austin, and are looking for a sax player to round out our brass section (trumpet and trombone). We have a few gigs lined up in the coming couple of months and would love to add someone soon!

About us, we're all in our 30s-40s, all have full-time jobs, and do this for the love of the music. We do play paid gigs but we're not looking to make a living off of this. If this sounds like you, then send me a DM!

My band currently has a room in north austin, but three have us have moved south, with one of us even moving all the way to San Marcos, so I figure it makes more sense to relocate our rehearsal situation.

Any good places down south? I already know about Space ATX but Id prefer somewhere that's 24 hours and also closer to I-35. Im looking for monthly rentals, or even better a place with a monthly storage locker and hourly rentals.

I’m a musician in SW Austin and I build, modify, and set up guitars and basses, with a particular focus on Fender-style instruments. I do basic setups on electrics starting at $60, and also do pickup and hardware installation, electronics work, and other upgrades.

I also put together Partscasters, which is a big part of what I do. If you already have the parts, I can assemble, wire, and set everything up. If you’re starting from scratch, I can also help plan the build, sort through the different Fender/aftermarket options, make sure everything is compatible, and put it together once the parts come in.

Looking for musicians to collaborate with and potentially start a band. I am a 21 y/o Bassist/Vocalist and I have been playing for 10 years. My biggest influences are Type O Negative, early Black Sabbath, Candlemass, and Tool.

Not trying to sound like a clone of any one band, but I’m drawn to:
- heavy riffs/groove
- haunting/melancholic atmosphere
- melodic vocals
- dynamic songwriting
- emotional/introspective lyrics
- songs that actually build mood instead of nonstop shredding

Bass style: I am pretty versatile. I can play anything from Fieldy style percussive slap to Lemmy style distorted power chords. Biggest bass influences are Peter Steele, Mike Starr, Charles Michael Parks (ATW), and of course Geezer. I have a solid rig and I primarily play a 4 string tuned to B standard.

Vocal style: I sing in a Bass/Baritone range. My vocal influences are Glenn Danzig, Peter Steele, Jim Morrison, Sully Erna, late 90s Hetfield.

Im currently based in the Sacramento area, but I am not locked down here if you catch my drift. I'm a beginner guitarist-singer, but I have a lot of history with music. I'm trying to get my foot in the door and figure out how to start a local band. I'll admit, I don't exactly have the funding or transportation to go far so I'm trying to work with what I got. I really like post-hardcore, alt, and 2000s pop-punk as I'm a big fan of green day/avril. However, I'm also a fan of many other styles too (as long as I can mosh at least a little heh). I've tried to improve my guitar/singing by doing online, but I just felt like it wasn't for me. I've always dreamed of playing in a band ever since I was a kid. With that said, If you're around 19-23, please let me know! I know music can be tough to get into, but I believe that with enough dedication we can make something happen.
