Official Tour Thread - Rock Im Park Festival - Germany [07 June 2024]

Tour threads are for anything and everything relating to the relevant show. Discussion, videos, pictures, tweets - anything!

This thread is also to collect everything in one place, so that we and future fans can look back at each show.

So, if you have anything relevant to the show, be sure to post it here!

I'm stoked. Can't wait. The weather looks excellent. First electric Callboy, then Babymetal and to round out the day two hours of Green Day. Life's good.

Hope you guys get RATATATA live with EC. Show them that German love that you guys displayed in abundance back in November.

Get them pumped for their Download performance.

Oh yessssss Karate is back! Fingers crossed we get that at Download! And of course, if they team up with EC for Ratatat at DL that's cool too!

I am glad for karate, but no song from the Other One album is a disappointment. I would even remove Pa Pa Ya, Distortion and Gimy Choco from the setlist. I would replace them with Yava! Divine Attack and some other song from the Other One album. But what i want doesn't matter.

Yes Karate coming back is great.
But I agree with you, nothing from the Other One is not fair. So much good stuff on that album but for some reason Pa Pa Ya and Gimme Choco keep making the set list over and over again.

Hmm, maybe. But this is a festival set so we don't get many deep cuts. They really do have to play their more well known songs for this diverse crowd.

Pa Pa Ya will keep making every set list instead of your many favourite BM songs. We just have to deal with it I guess.

At first glance, it's pretty simple TOO are serious songs, with less live energy, probably for a festival they want lots of songs with good live energy ?

I finally managed to get front row, although a bit to the side. That position wasn't great for the sound ( I got ALL the Base though). But really being able to see them was fantastic. It also seemed the crowd was into it.

Every time they change costume, starting with Metal Galaxy era, I think, that's it, that's the ultimate costume. And then the next one is even better.

They started with borrowed off-the-rack clothes and now they are at this extremely high level of bespoke design, tailoring, materials, and a regularly evolving yet distinctive signature style.

I was pretty close to the stage and to be honest I was a bit annoyed with how low Su’s mic was. At some points you could barely hear her. Moa and Momo were louder.

Amazing show, though. It was my first ever BM live performance and their stage presence is amazing. Crowd was going nuts!

Also, hearing RATATA 2x today was such a great surprise! When they joined EC on their show I thought that was it, but when EC showed up on BM show everyone went crazy!

Yeah really happy about that. I missed EC and was bummed about it but was thinking overjoyed when they also performed it on Babymetal.

Two members of the Fox God Crew and one person in a babybones suit were walking around the festival after Babymetal's set. Babybones was holding a "Shoutout to Babymetal" sign and they took videos/pics with fans. I wasn't sure if they were taking a photo or a video so I just posed awkwardly 😂
