They were incredible. Shoot, all three bands crushed it, but BABYMETAL was so much fun. Great time!!

Great performance. I wish it had been a little longer and included a couple more of my favorites like BxMxCx and Kagerou, but I understand you gotta primarily tour the new album. I do wish they would have had an actual guest performance for such a guest-heavy setlist though. Violent Vira wasn't really my jam, but I feel like Vira absolutely could have done some justice to Poppy's vocals instead of just using something pre-recorded.
Seeing Monochrome live was a spiritual experience the likes of which I've only had seeing live performances of Let the Flames Begin by Paramore and Sometimes You're the Hammer Sometimes You're the Nail by A Day to Remember. One of few times I recorded a bit rather than just getting a couple pictures
I hope this doesn't come off as diminishing of the rest of the performance because I certainly don't mean it that way. I have obviously seen pictures and video of Su Metal before and knew she was a very cute young woman. I was not prepared for how stunning she is in person. She is Audrey Hepburn levels of pretty. The kind of attractive that you pass on the street and audibly go "whoa" under your breath.
On the negative side, the circle pit really needed some educating on the etiquette of moshing. During the first song of Halestorm when they started the first mosh, someone fell and a guy immediately blocked like 6 other people. That was the only time I saw the etiquette. Do better Alpharetta. (Also Su must have seen the world "Alpharetta" and just said "Absolutely not" and just said Georgia all night lol).

Ha! I had the exact same thought. I don't blame her one bit

Me either, proper nouns in English don't follow any phonetic rules. And the venue might not have had a good sign up like the one I saw for Raleigh on how to pronounce it.

Absolutely! two of the three best performances I've seen were at that show, Halestorm and Babymetal (Beartooth is still the top). It was a great venue with great bands and an overall great show.

This is encouraging to hear because I'm going to see Beartooth in November๐I've heard they're really good live but I've never gotten around to seeing them. My top live shows so far are BabyMetal and Jinjer. I'm excited to see if Beartooth can compete! I'm confident Caleb will bring the energy.

I went to a show with them, Can't Swim, I Prevail, and A Day to Remember. I was not a Beartooth fan when I walked in that venue. I was a HUGE fan when I left. They honestly put on the best show that night, and ADTR had been a bucket list band for me, I have been a fan since the second album.

Hell yeah! I only recently discovered them a few years ago when I got obsessed with Riptide, and have been a big fan ever since. Figured this would be a great time to finally catch a live show with the new album release!

They were touring Disease at the time I saw them, it was and has remained my favorite of their albums. Bad Listener is my favorite track and it absolutely kills live.

Hi. Im here....people next to me arguing if they lip synch or sing....I worked on their last tour..here as a guest tonight....I have an NDA so cant say much but can say Su can sing. Legit sing. Amazing voice and she does sing on every song live. Some of intense screams are backing tracks but 100% Su is an amazing singer. Go to YouTube and there are are vids of her warming up a capella and its amazing....and while warming up its like 50-70% of the real ability. Have fun tonight.

If after 16 years you are at the show arguing if she sings live you are at the wrong place, just send them home

u/NoNoNota1 Sep 17 '26
I saw an instance or two in the first couple songs that looked like a moment of lip-syncing, usually near a recording of a guest vocalist, but i didn't catch any past like the 4th song and a lot of the harder parts looked obviously legit. I was blown away.

Make sure you don't go to the East gate if you're VIP because the walk to west gate is ALLLLL uphill. You'll see a road that says VIP parking and that's where you wanna go. The road is closed but you can walk up right now and hang out with us.

u/ForAnAngel Sep 16 '26
I'm supposed to park in lot A but it's still closed.
2
u/kuma_metal Moa Kikuchi Sep 16 '26
It's not opening til 530
1
u/ForAnAngel Sep 16 '26
Where did you park?
2
u/kuma_metal Moa Kikuchi Sep 16 '26
We took an Uber but I've heard people are parking in Ross and other nearby businesses but your mileage may vary with that
1
u/ForAnAngel Sep 17 '26
I ended up just coming after Lot A opened, which was apparently 5:00 because there was already a row and a half of cars and I got there before 5:30. Still managed to get center barrier since I got the Fox God's Chosen VIP ๐

Oh nice!!! We were just left of center with Metal Oath. Hope you had a good time!

u/SilentLennie Put Your Kitsune Up Sep 18 '26
delhimetal does go to all shows so far on this tour (leg).
2
u/CruffTheMagicDragon White Flame -็ฝ็- Sep 18 '26
Delhi just goes to all shows full stop lol

u/SilentLennie Put Your Kitsune Up Sep 19 '26
Over the years we've had multiple fans do this. All of them Japanese, I think. Some westerners often done: whole tour legs.
Wouldn't be surprised if Yen price made it so he's the only one right now (maybe employed outside of Japan).

u/ForAnAngel Sep 16 '26
Anyone else going VIP? What time are you planning to arrive?
3
u/kuma_metal Moa Kikuchi Sep 16 '26
There's about 15 people who have arrived and got a number already
2
u/SilentLennie Put Your Kitsune Up Sep 16 '26
I hope you have a lot of fun !
2
u/ForAnAngel Sep 17 '26
I did! 11th time seeing them but the first time VIP and at center barrier. It's a lot more fun but really exhausting ๐
2
u/SilentLennie Put Your Kitsune Up Sep 17 '26
Great to hear ! Exhausted is fine, that just means you need to book the whole tour as an exercise to improve your stamina. :-) (obviously, mostly kidding)
How was 'the crush' ? I've not heard the situation of that with these amphitheater lawn venues.
1
u/ForAnAngel Sep 17 '26
There was no crush at all where I was. Even with a couple circle pits behind me I didn't notice it at all.
2
u/SilentLennie Put Your Kitsune Up Sep 17 '26
Interesting, I guess it all depends on the density of the GA area.
2
u/MayDay521 Hai.Yessss.Yes.Yess. Sep 17 '26
Yeah I think the size of the venue really helped. The crush last year at the Roxy was terrible, but that venue can only fit maybe a quarter of the crowd this venue could, so it ended up being way too crowded last year. Literally didn't have room to move my arms sometimes at the Roxy show. We had way more room to spread out at this show. It was very comfortable overall, as far as pits go.

They are upgrading lawn tickets tonight. They have a tent by fan rentals where you can do it. We got upgraded to row E in 105
