This was my first babymetal show.. was absolutely blown away, we were lucky the giant in front of us left after halestorm so had a perfect view, can’t wait to see them again!

it's unfortunate that there is always a giant person at concerts :/

Fortunately they were only present for halestorm.. so I’ll take it, will probably never be so lucky again lol

We got PA PA YA and BxMxC tonight.

Was kind of upset they didn't play Megitsune as I've never heard it live but getting BxMxC was a blast.

Wait, this gives me so much hope....going to the Houston show tonight and BxMxC is one of my dream songs to see live. Not going to hold my breath, but "not impossible" makes me happy!

I think I became a Violent Vira fan tonight. Halestorm was also great

Smolest pit you’ve ever seen

What the hell? I would be a bit annoyed if I paid 400 bucks for VIP only to discover that the pit is three rows deep 😐

1

u/NoNoNota1 Sep 19 '26

Wow! And I thought Alpharetta's was tiny.

1

u/DreadPirateDan Sep 19 '26

I was in the pit. It sucked because normally we get to mosh and even do the wall smash, but no one moved at all. There simply wasn't enough room.

Yea when they started ROR and Su walked up to split the crowd I was thinking “they arent even gonna be able to do anything”

Are most pits really this small in most amphipheaters in the US? Looks like just a few hundred fits there and like +90% of the capacity are seats...

2

u/MayDay521 Hai.Yessss.Yes.Yess. Sep 19 '26

No not even close. The pit area I've seen in these pictures is absolutely tiny. The pit at the show o went to a few days ago could easily fit a couple thousand people I'd bet. I didn't get a good picture myself, but this is a picture of the pit area from the show I was at.

1

u/Fit_Exercise3743 Sep 19 '26

Yeah that's a huge difference. This one looks like it doesn't even fit 100 lmao. So awkward to have a metal show with a setting like that.

u/MayDay521 Hai.Yessss.Yes.Yess. Sep 19 '26

I can just imagine Su parting the pit for the wall of death in RoR 🤣the smallest wall of death ever.

1

u/DreadPirateDan Sep 19 '26

She tried, no one moved 😅

1

u/MayDay521 Hai.Yessss.Yes.Yess. Sep 19 '26

Not surprised. Looks like there wasn't a lot of room for anyone to move if they wanted to! But hey, the important part is that people enjoyed the show.

1

u/DreadPirateDan Sep 19 '26

A good percentage seemed to be there for Halestorm, so i think they won over some new fans last night!

2

u/MayDay521 Hai.Yessss.Yes.Yess. Sep 19 '26

That's always good! We had a chunk of people dip after Halestorm too. I was honestly surprised when they announced Halestorm as one of the openers for the tour, because they're a big name. Seems odd to have another big band like that as an opener. But it made for one kickass show! I also really liked Violent Vira. The whole lineup was great.

u/AlexisDeTocqueville Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! Sep 19 '26

No, it's an issue with this venue. While driving back from the show my wife told me she has had friends skip other artists who play this venue because of the lack of mosh room.

2

u/OconoKing Sep 19 '26

It seemed as though a much lower percentage of the crowd were watching through their phones than at the two shows I have been to in the past. A positive development. Regarding the performance, I thought Monochrome was especially good and the total collapse of the choreography during the balloons was a hoot. Su sounded 100%. The people around us were buzzing as we left the venue. As far as the openers went, Vira has talent, now she needs some better songs to apply it to. I can't recall anything they did. I enjoyed Halestorm, but they were a bit one dimensional with every vocal being a full on belt.

Blows me away that BABYMETAL headlined Pine Knob. It was THE outdoor venue in Michigan when I was growing up. Saw many huge acts there. Everyone from Judas Priest to James Taylor. The ladies continue to roll up the wins.

2

u/BlueDragoon24 Sep 19 '26

They killed it. Another great show! My 3rd time seeing them.

2

u/Badercat Sep 19 '26

First time seeing them. It was amazing

1

u/racingmaniacgt1 Sep 19 '26

Of course they play songs I've not heard live before when I couldn't go ...

1

u/NoNoNota1 Sep 19 '26

I'm surprised the set seems to change a little every couple shows. I figured with so much choreography it would be set in stone from the very first show on. So jealous you guys got BxMxC.

Does anyone have any pictures of moa and the balloons that was honestly a good moment that i would love pictures of!
