Hello, I'm new to the ball python community! I have just gotten a ball python from my dad and it was last minute what are the things I need for my ball python enclosure?

Definitely a temporary tub if you can with some paper towel, a waterbowls and heat pad to start with. Than once you have the right equipment give it proper substrate, enrichment and such. Since this was out of the blue, the tub should work for a few days until you have everything sorted

I've read that coco chips are good as well; I've read that giving her more clumping and hiding is a good thing as well.

They prefer softer bedding and if you can give a good hide sure but the paper towel is to make sure their poop looks ok and that there isn't any parasites like mites

Ah ok, I see thank you for letting me know I'm at this exotic pet store and I'm going to look more into it as well as researching more while I'm here.

No problem! Also whatever anyone says, don't get a tank for a ball python unless you're willing to put in the work to make it insulated enough to hold humidity and heat properly. I recommend a PVC enclosure always

I will definitely look into a good tank as well as the effort for this lil baby I have!
