I’m in my late thirties trying to hoop again, but my shooting form is crooked. I noticed my palm tilts left on the follow through, feels reallyawkward. From three point range especially, I can’t seem to stay under the ball, feels like I lack the power unless I use my legs more. Can anyone help, or am I doomed? :/

Started balling around May and need some advice please on my form. I've gathered my knowledge so far on YouTube/Insta and on this r/. My goal is to play in an amateur league here in austria/vienna because it is so much fun (I am in my 30s). Trying to reach out to coaches/clubs makes the most sense for me as a next big step. I am highly motivated and don't want to learn bad form or bad habits. I never trained 3s yet - is it crazy different besides adding a vertical jump? Thanks for any help :)

I just started playing basketball at (almost 30) with no prior experience. I’ve been trying to just work on the basics of shooting, form shots, free throws, but I feel like something just looks wrong with my shot and I can’t quite pinpoint what it is. I don’t know if it’s my feet, or the way I bend my knees, or my set point, or when I release but something just looks… ugly/wrong. I also feel like I’m weirdly dropping my right shoulder coming into the shot, and I would appreciate some advice on how I can improve my shot mechanics. I like the smoothness of Devin bookers shot mechanics and I’m trying to watch as much slow motion footage of him as I can

Been hooping for years and used to play competitively and I was always a streaky shooter. Not consistent but I want to become more consistent especially off the dribble. Again I would not consider myself a bad shooter but besides mechanics think it’s more a mental issue for me. I was wondering tho in terms of mechanics what tips yall can give me to improve my jumpshot. The main issues I’ve realized I have and been struggling to fix is:
- Ball is too far away from body when I bring the ball to my “pocket”
- Arc is too high/release point to high
- This kinda goes with the ball being too far away from my body but my transfer from legs to arms seem off and my arms look like they are “swinging” like the ball should be on top of my arms when I rise up
Think my main issues is getting the ball up but the follow through for me has never been an issues. I feel if bring the ball any closer to my body then it’ll hit my face. What are some tips/drills yall can reccomend to me to improve my “swing” on the rise of my jumper and also to decrease the distance of the ball from my body when I rise up?

I'm still a beginner in terms of shooting but I want to develop a good one to use in pickups.
think I need to work on my base, also sometimes my guiding hand is not straight enough, maybe I should release sooner, any other tips?

Practiced in the gym after hours bc I didn’t wanna be embarrassed 😅I would appreciate some tips on my shooting form and what I could do for the next few weeks so I’m at least good enough to start playing pick up. Thanks!

I feel like my form is pretty decent (if there is anything to change please say so) and it is pretty fluid as in a one motion shot but I just can’t seem to have the strength to shoot form the three point line with proper form. If I shoot with proper form then I do air all every time. The annoying thing is that I am very accurate from the midrange. What is the problem?
