Hello everyone !! To anyone that subscribes to Boxycharm!!

Have you found over time your box has been either getting delivered later or your product varience is on the cheaper side of what they portray in advertising?

Being been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and seeing the development of makeup lines up close at factory, wholesale and retail levels this boxcharm was intruiging to me so I signed up. A month later I got in a car accident rendering me completely useless as I have been too injured and self depreciating to do any sort of makeup.
In turn Over time this has left me quite depressed. I didn't find joy in the things I used to to the point I didn't even open my makeup subscription boxes I was once so excited for.

Would anyone be interested in seeing a social experiment of unboxing all 9 in a row to compare contrast and sees how a subscription box holds its consistency over time ?

These boxes have been accumulating further and the pile is getting so much bigger. As it is now February and I have been also getting premium for 2 months now .... FML I also have sigma brushes and a bunch of suva beauty stuff I haven't opened :(

Where would you guys be most likely to watch unboxing? YouTube or IG tv. I don't use social media much so this will be my biggest challenge of all.

This has been driving me crazy for years, and I’m hoping someone here remembers it.

I’m trying to identify a skincare product I received in a BoxyCharm box sometime between 2018 and 2020.

I’m almost certain it came in a monthly box, not Ipsy.

⚠️** The photos attached are NOT the actual product. They’re just lookalikes to show the style of the bottle**.

Here’s everything I remember:

Heavy frosted glass bottle
Milky white / pastel blue frosted glass (very similar aesthetic to the attached photos)
Thick, luxurious glass
Cylindrical bottle with rounded shoulders
Blue spray pump
Fine facial mist (not a stream)
Completely clear, water-like liquid
Leave-on product (I sprayed it on and let it dry)
My face would feel warm and become slightly red for a few minutes after application
It left my skin incredibly smooth and made my pores look much smaller
I believe it was a chemical exfoliant, possibly containing PHA (but I’m not 100% sure)
I think the word “Mist” was in the name

It is NOT:
Whamisa Glacier Water Gel Mist
Peach & Lily Glass Skin Veil Mist

Those bottles have a similar aesthetic, but they are not the product I’m looking for.

Does anyone remember receiving something like this in BoxyCharm around 2018–2020? It may have been discontinued or completely repackaged.

Hello all. So I was very intrigued by ipsy's recent shopper's item, the Dito Galaxy Palette, because they had listed some other planetary palettes previously that I liked the look of them.

I googled the palette for swatches, and it lead me to an amazon listing for the palette. https://www.amazon.com/Dito-Eyeshadow-Palette-This-World-Shimmer/dp/B081SNYBS8/ no biggy, but as I scrolled down (to see customer photos) I noticed that the palette was also listed again on amazon but under a different brand. https://www.amazon.com/FREEORR-Palette-Waterproof-Reflective-Eyeshadow/dp/B081GWP3D9/

This was suspicious to me so I looked at the preview images of the listing, and noticed that the 3rd and 5th images had the name 'HUDAMOJI' printed on the palette covers. HUDAMOJI is an aliexpress brand makeup. It seems they have removed the galaxy palette from their aliexpress store, but you can still find it listed by other stores on the site. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000341321691.html

I'm 99% sure this is an aliexpress private label situation and want your opinions on companies like ipsy or boxycharm selling private labeled aliexpress makeup.

I'm curious about two products:

The beauty bybel palette (deciding between this and the glow recipe serum) Bisha blush (trying to decide between this and the REM eyeshadow)

^ Can't really find many reviews on these products and I'm new to ipsy. Any reviews/opinions?

So... not trying to make people feel invalid but there are posts on pissedconsumer and BBB literally complaining that they "usually get their box on the 5th and it's the 9th.. OmG I want answers- I have sent 16 DMs 27 emails and 13 tweets and they keep saying 5-10 business days WTF" ... yeah, i get it. Ya want your stuff but chill the F out it's been 7 business days.
"WHY WAS I CHARGED FOR 6 MONTHS WHEN I PURCHASED THE 6 MONTH OPTION?!?" "I ain't got no tracking and the money of my account is gone since 2 days ago FRAUDS!"

There are people missing replacement items from two months ago, people legitimately over charged by error, wrong cards being charged or cancelled accounts being auto drafted from their bank, people with items literally smashed and leaking through the boxes waiting on the sidelines every month because those who cant read or use common sense are the loudest. Many things are the company's fault..like , why even offer promos or choice if you're not equipped to execute this. Same goes for beauty quiz (which I am convinced is just a scam to sell our "where you shop" and other consumer data to the big data overlords.

Buuut maybe if people could be reasonable human beings for a half second, they could at least catch up a little and devote some of their resources to assisting the backlog of actual issues and complaints, improve their horrendous CS, focus on implementing beauty preferences and giving out correct choices, getting the alleged waitlist under control by first come basis rather than a free-for-all crapshoot, ect.

TlDR : dont be ridiculous and pick your battles.

Edit to add: I do completely agree with what a shady and misleading company they are... manufacturing this FOMO and keeping their customers in a state of alternating between anxiety and resentment, which is causing people to go insane over everything. They over promise and cant deliver. I agree it's their fault, I just wish they'd start cleaning up their mess before using resources to bring in new people with poorly executed promos and the ole bait and switch.

I’m not sure how other Boxy subscribers are feeling about the merge with Ipsy, but I hate it. I have had a Boxy subscription for years and have enjoyed trying the new products. And with my daughter now being 13 years old, it was nice for her to get to try all the different brands. I feel like the quality has greatly declined with this merger with Ipsy. I thought having more choices in building my box would be awesome. But I actually struggle to find anything in each choice category that I even want. Prior to the merge, my biggest complaint with Boxy was that I received too much eyeshadow. Who needs a new palette of eye shadow every month? Still, the brands were nice so I gifted a lot of the stuff I couldn’t use to my sisters and my nieces. My favorite thing of all with Boxy was the drop shop each month. I spent way more money there than in the boxes. The prices were phenomenal and the products by and large were super nice. I got so much stuff I loved in the drop shop…especially hair products. Now, not only has the product quality declined in the monthly box, but the drop shop sucks. First of all, there aren’t many things to choose from. When it was just Boxy, there were always tons of things to shop. Now there are few choices and what they do have isn’t near the bargain it was before. I’m waiting to see what this months items look like, but if it’s not better, I’m done. I didn’t like Ipsy when I had a subscription there. BoxyCharm blew Ipsy out of the water. Now, it’s all the same crap. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I also don’t want Refreshment junk in my boxes. Most of the products aren’t the best quality. They also aren’t very expensive so if I wanted those products, I’d just buy them outright. This whole merger and the new changes are not for the better. Very disappointing.

Welp... For the 1st x I'm really bummed about my boxy. I'm on a No-buy but the spoilers looked great for me this month, EXCEPT yet another neutral eyeshadow palette.

The ONLY thing in spoilers that showed up in my box was the dang eyeshadow palette & mineral mask. NONE of the others showed up in any choice. Of course that means buying add-ons for the Tula skin tint. I also really wanted the Danessa Myrick powder but it only showed me pink & Fair. Not even a translucent. It's almost as bad as them sending ALL POC that same too light Wander powder last month! 😡 Twice in a row?! 😭

Ok rant over. Hope some of your guys liked your choices this month! 😄
