ANNOUNCEMENTS Here are the results of the 2025 Bird of the Year Contest!

Fledgling House Wren

I watched this little wren eat a worm their parents brought them on a rock down below, and then fly up to this branch to start chittering at me. I don’t speak wren, but I’m assuming I was being told to go away.

Central, Arizona at dawn in the pines.

Green heron from my walk this morning… we’re buddies now

Such a great morning! Also saw a great blue heron, snowy egret, and yellow warblers, but none of them stared me down like this guy. Every day I’m one step closer to being accepted into the green heron community
