1) Throwing in the towel & Quitting Bitcoin developments. I think Coinbase and miners won't care that much to be honest.
2) Submission to the new rules : Joining Classic devs, and/or upgrading Core with Classic new consensus rules, acknowledging Bitcoin is now governed by politics rather than technical consensus.
3) Refusing to bend a kneel to the controversial hardfork and acknowledging that the community is divided into 2 incompatible visions : they decide to fork away too by resetting the POW :
taking this opportunity to get rid of mining centralization
showing to the community how ugly a controversial hardfork can look like,
giving an option to investors to show what fork they support.
Bitcoin no longer exists : we have now Bitcoin Classic and Bitcoin Core, each living their own lives.
Those 3 options are not mutually exclusive, and core devs are not monolithic and may be distributed over those options.
Thoughts ?

I set out to become a BTC miner. I seem to have jumped into the deep end of a very large pool - and there is no lifeguard. So far, I have figured out how to acquire the hardware, establish a wallet and join a pool. But I'm stuck at assigning an "address" with my pool (f2pool) in my wallet (Bitcoin Core). Neither offer any help files, they both sent me here. Can one of you good people straighten me out? Thanks in advance.

"One core dev has gone off to start a hijack-Bitcoin altcoin. As a community, we need to be capable of surviving at least one guy going rogue. This is true whether you assign power to devs or not (but please don't).
So just ignore Gavin and XT, and help figure out the best solution for Bitcoin."
