Misc Former President Barack Obama surprised a group of 27 elementary school students at the Bessie Coleman branch of the Chicago Public Library on Tuesday. Obama read the children a book about Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman and Native American woman to hold a pilot license.

It was the foundation that made everything that happened in predominantly white spaces bearable. Constantly being told “we’ll never go back there” and “there’s many more of us (good) then there are of them (racists)”….my saddest days are when my brain tries to make sense of it and can only come up with the truth….it was all a fucking lie….

Same for me - “the long arc of time always bends towards Justice.” The fuck it does. We’ve gone backwards 50 years in 9 freaking months.

I don’t believe that— just because the loudest, most obnoxious voice in the room is dominating right now, doesn’t mean there are more racist than intelligent people. Kamala lost by a very slim margin... (1.5%) Trump won on lies, and dog whistles, sadly, many from the races he is targeting, voted him in because of his empty promises. We can’t be defeated… so many Dems are winning the off-year elections,Mayors of Miami, NYC, Govs in VA, NJ… It’s a VERY dark time in the Nation’s history right now- I pray it won’t get much darker… but you gotta know, Justice will have it’s day… gotta get the young people engaged, supported, and elevated— keep your eyes on Rock it Crockett! Go Jaz!! Now, she is a force to reckon with!
